  1. this is a great thread! theres more in the twenties group under NSVs (non-scale victories)
  2. yeah I totally understand this, I have been trying to overcome it by bringing up the positive points that will effect him (dirty things of course) > and giving him lots of love and attention so he knows my love and my thoughts are with him-not on getting skinny and leaving! At the same time, life post op is gonna be hard if he doesn't change his eating habits as well. He's working on it though.
  3. stupid fiances and husbands, see my hubbys bigger then me so I dont get it, he knows what it is to be obese and I think he should be happy and supportive! argh!
  4. Vanity posted a topic in Fitness & Exercise
So I've found my fave exercise and I don't have to leave home! I don't know how many people get FitTV but there is a bellydancing show called Shimmy Its really fun and with a half hour run time its a good way to ease into exercising. Of course if your not into dancing--not for you. Anyway, I thought I'd share what I'm into right now
  5. thanks for sharing all this info guys! I have a lil over 2 weeks left and am bursting at the seams with excitment!! These forums are amazing! Best of luck to all of you!
  6. Oooh, when is your sugery? Oh and apparently my husband has been telling people >.> He's not happy about it so I guess this is his way of getting back at me  (I put a stop to it tho)
  7. Shaun, Thats what I'm going to do. I've told those that know not to spread it around, but we'll see how that goes  In the mean time, I'm just trying to survive my pre-op diet Thanks for everyones responses!
  8. Oh thats good! I'm so glad to hear that!! ::whew:: Nothing like getting work done to make ya feel good right?
  9. lol I thought of getting one to decorate the surgery scars  like stitches or something  (or maybe an X to mark the fill spot)
  10. NSVs I'm looking forward too: Not needing a belt extension on a plane Not having to search for the weight capacity of chairs and exercise equipment being able to wear cute bras! (like the little balconettes) Going to amusement parks and being able to RIDE the rides!! Not feeling like I can't go to the cool clubs because even though I'd kill everyone with my style, it wouldn't count since I weigh more then 3 of them put together. as posted on one of the first pages: seeing my va-jay-jay! and NOT through the mirror  Not feeling like Shrek (like an ogre walking through town and everyone is staring at you) and I am so EFFING tired of hearing: YOU HAVE SUCH A PRETTY FACE. I'm sure theres more, Can't wait to check things off that list
  11. Hi, I'm in SD too! El Cajon actually. I'm going to be banded in TJ by Dr. Ortiz on 6/24! Is there a group that meets offline?
  12. best of luck to all of you!! Keith: your being banded on my birthday!! big celebration day!!! All of you are in my thoughts!!
  13. stick too it, we have faith in you!! I am 19 days away and getting ready to really diet it up, my surgeon doesn't require a liquid diet, BUT I do have to lose 5% of my weight before surgery! NO DQ!!!
  14. yeah its my calf I'm concerned about, the other ones aren't on flabby spots lol Im waiting for skinnytown before I get anymore for sure!
  15. I'm curious about how tattoos react to weight loss (like if they get funky or anything?) Im moderatly tattooed my largest being a calf sleeve and I wonder what they'll look like after my weight loss? Any personal experiences with this?
  16. I can totally relate to this!! I was front desk for a chiro and was doing a 9 day cleanse, well I told a few patients (hoping I could sell some) and literally everyday they asked me if I had lost more weight! In my head I was like ITS ONLY BEEN 2 DAYS SINCE YOU ASKED ME!!! but then so I didn't feel like a failiure I'd lie and say I lost a pound. Lucky for me I have friends who'll tell me I look like I've lost weight even when I haven't, sounds silly but I appreciate it. (those are the friends I'll tell!)
  17. Hey guys this is my first post in the 20something group!! I'm scheduled for banding on 6/24 and unsure of who I want to let in on it. I've been very outspoken on how proud and happy I am of being a big girl and feel like it could be taken as me flipflopping on the matter. Any thoughts or personal experiences?
  18. I think he's both worried about the procedure and worried that I'll get skinny and leave him (he's about 360lbs) Thanks for the congrats, I'm really looking forward to it!!
  19. mine is the 24th
