Yes, 2 blogs in one day-one complaining, one hopeful... Call me vain if you will (it IS my name) But I can't help but think and hope of the future. A day when I'll REALLY be hot, and not fat-hot. I got my teeth whitened and they're AMAZING. Got a chemical peel- my skin is a work in progress.:smile2: And best of all I'm 5 days post op and the lightest I have been in years! There's a couple events coming up and I'd really like to WOW the people there! I know that I'm awesome now, But I really can't wait for the new and improved Vanity to rear her lovely head and take over THE WORLD!!:bored: I'll post new pics in a few weeks, I wanna make sure you can tell a difference. Yeah, I know I'm terrible. I watch americas next top model for insperation, I spend hours studying pin-ups to help formulate goals and a game plan :crying: (I don't think I've ever told anyone that!) anyways-I think thats it for now! Thanks for reading!

  4. alright well lets do this!! How often should we meet? once a month, twice a month? I think once a week might be too much-thoughts? also what day? my weekends are generally full, but the mornings I can do...
  5. well im banded now so theres no going back  he hasn't gotten better, so we'll see how it goes...
  6. ::crying:: Tomorrow is my surgery and I am so so so excited, so glad to start on this journey- to get to the other side of the bridge and start the uphill climb. I just wish that my dh was even slightly supportive. I feel very alone in this (minus all of you here on lbt!) If I even mention anything about my surgery, he shuts down. Like somebody flipped his power switch. Last night he blew up about the smallest thing (unrelated to surgery) and left the house for like 4 hours! I slept in the living room as my silent protest. as of right now its been like 16 hrs we haven't spoken over a stupid fuckin quarrell. And here I am 23 1/2 hrs away from surgery and not speaking to my husband (he hasn't even tried to talk to me) He refused to drive me to my appointment so my sister is. I'm going into mexico by myself and he hasn't the slightest concern (my friends bought me pepper spray lol) I just don't know...I don't even know how I'm getting home- I'm just trusting in my ability to figure shit out. I wonder if this will pass once the surgery is done and over.... Oh well, I am strong and will overcome these obstacles, just wish I had someone IRL that would be supportive. I can't thank all of my friends here on LBT enough for all the encouragement and support, you guys have really helped me through this!

  9. Erick I don't know exactly- BUT I'm having surgery by Dr Ortiz on wednesday, so I can get back to you! You can always e-mail your patient coordinator- Carolyn is very good at responding to her emails. Can I just say though, that you can't make her understand what shes getting herself into. Be supportive by just being supportive-help her stay strong through her pre-op dieting, if she has a question help her find the answer on here. What shes getting herself into is a road to a happier, healthier life! Of course theres trials and tribulations along the way but that makes victory all the more sweeter. Good Luck, and I'll keep you posted about the aftercare and postop dieting.
  10. Awesome, so theres 2... Who else?!
  11. I am willing to organize one if you guys are willing to come! Show of posts, whos interested?? Also post what city you're in

  14. oh jeeze, I'm already preparing for boobs that look like tube socks :wink2:
  15. Thanks Ladies If he would discuss it I'm sure I could make some ground, but he shuts down what the topic comes up. He is a big man and he knows what it is to be obese, I'm tryin my darndest to make sure we stay strong as ever, but its hard trying to talk to a rock!
  16. Hi ladies!! I have 9 days till my surgery!! My DH doesn't approve/hates the idea/refuses to even drive me I'm doing it anyway of course, BUT should I care about his opinion? I mean yes, a marriage is a partnership but doesn't that mean wanting the best for each other? I am feeling guilty for going against his wishes (not guilty enough to not go through with it tho!) Anybody else go through this, or have any insight?
  17. When I reached my highest weight I knew I needed to do something so I quit drinking soda and quit fast food that was 7 months ago and I lost 15 lbs just doing that, once I decided on surgery I started pre-op dieting right away b/c I need to lose 5%(15lbs). I'm down 26 lbs from highest which feels great! I have 10 days till my surgery and am sticking to my pre-op diet as best I can. I haven't had last supper syndrome, I've had enough big meals in my life, thats how I got here! I just wanna set myself up for sucess in banded life. Just remember: Nothing tastes as good as being healthy feels!
  18. Hi Lauren, I'm getting banded 2 days before you!! luckily no liquid diet for me! best of luck!
  19. yeah weighing everyday takes a toll on you emotionally, and I just can't take the dissapointment! once a week or even every few days at least you know where you stand and can see your progress. weighed today -2lbs ::off to update ticker::
  20. I know better then to do it everyday, but I wanna make sure I'm getting results! How often do you weigh yourselves and what time ?(morning before anything, middle of the day?)
  21. I went through a personal blockage with heels a year or so ago. I had always told myself I was too fat for heels, and I could only wear flats. BUT I finally told myself I could wear whatever shoes I want!! So I gradually went to heels. I started with wedges (still my fave) and on to to pumps from there. I'm 5'9 and DH is 5'11 he doesn't like me being taller but I dont give a flying f$*$ :ihih: Rock those heels ladies!
  22. welcome, theres lots of really knowledgable people here!! I'll be banded on 6/24! Best of luck to you!
  23. Best of luck! I'll be banded on 6/24. I'm in San Diego!
