  1. I hope you took some home or away with you so you could eat a little more later. I agree eating very little is not that good for you. I am one who eats small to be small. That is small amounts at one sitting I usually try for 1/2 cup to 3/4 of food chewing well and eating slowly. I also have about 6 food sitting a day. Water in between meals. Watch out you don't get light headed because you do need the calories for the weight (fat) to come off.<div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(28, 40, 55); font-family: tahoma, arial, verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 21px; ">"I think I had about 2 tablespoons of the meat (cut in very small pieces which I chewed, chewed, chewed) and probably about 2 tablespoons of the beans. Before I knew it, I was satified, and put my fork down."</span></div><div><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#1c2837" face="tahoma, arial, verdana, sans-serif" size="2"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="line-height: 21px;">4 Tablespoons of food equals a 1/4 of a cup and just not enough to keep you going. I wonder if stress played a roll when you where at lunch? When I am under stress I eat less. I find the more I eat up to 3/4 cup total at one time, the more I can lose. </span></font></div><div><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#1c2837" face="tahoma, arial, verdana, sans-serif" size="2"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="line-height: 21px;">I hope this helps. Best wishes and keep up the blogging I think it helps the most. I have been doing this now for over 2 years. imaluckydog band has helped me lose 110 pounds. </span></font></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(28, 40, 55); font-family: tahoma, arial, verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 21px; "><br></span></div>

  2. Do what is RIGHT for you. I didn't tell anyone, only my family. I have lost 110 pounds and have kept it off for over two years. I eat right and I exercise. I don't talk about myself to others non of their business. I feel great and I just had a breast reduction and tummy tuck and I can say I feel like a model. I look like one too. I love my new body and I feel great about myself. I would get banded again and again if I had too. It worked for me and I worked with my band. I eat small to be small. Best wishes imaluckydog

  3. Best wishes it really is all about how we take care of ourselves. Keep up the great work. I know those stuck moments, I experienced one with a mushoom from soup not that long ago. I seemed like 4 days before it moved. It reminds me I must alway eat slowly and chew, chew , chew to beat the band. Best wishes imaluckydog

  4. I agree with kelly111 she knows what she is talking about. I was banded June 29, 2009 and have had much success with my band. It is I had to train my mind to eat slower, and lesser amounts of food. If I want to be little, I must also eat little. Make good choices about foods. I eat real not processed, I eat fresh vegetables and always eat my proteins first. I don't eat too much and never drink with a meal. Eat slowly! I have fruit for a snack or a yogurt or low fat cheese stick. Most all I have learned it is a mind over stomach game. Be mindful and you will have success. Best wishes imaluckydog

  5. I also was banded June 29, 2009. I have kept off 110 pounds and just had a "Nip and Tuck". I feel great and Like the others I too would do it again. It has change my life and I will now live longer and healthier. Best wishes to everyone and follow the rules. imaluckydog

  6. Elizabeth, What your heart has once owned it shall never lose. Sorry to hear about the loss of your dear mother. You have done an amazing job and you will surely lose more in time. Keep blogging and stay in touch with the people like you who care. Best wishes on your journey. imaluckydog

  7. You will eat what you want and what you like! Make it smart choices, Eat small amounts of fresh wholesome foods, get your proteins in first and do NOT drink at any meal as it will push the food thru your pouch and you will be hungry again in no time. These are all the bandster rules as we know them. Move forward you had the surgery to be healthy and live longer so choose foods that will support that. Remember to chew, chew, chew and eat slow. That was hard for me. I used to inhale my food. I now take the time to savor the taste and flavor of my meals and the people I am with. <div><br></div><div>Today I eat small to be small. I have had my share of ups and downs we all do. I congratulate you for getting back in the journey. Most importantly is to KEEP blogging this is where we share how we feel and get feed back from others. People will learn from you so keep sharing. Best wishes imaluckydog</div>

  8. This is LeeLee TIME. If he does not want to be part of it then that's that's. Allow him to move on you have bigger and better things in store for you my friend. Follow the band rules and make your life is the best one possible and it can and will happen without him. You need to grieve and then move on. Keep blogging it is a way to share with others how you are feeling and I never eat at my computer so that's a good thing. Best wishes and Bravo on your road to success. imaluckydog

  9. Follow the rules, we are all good at that especially if we want something like losing weight as bad as we do. Both comments above are spot on. I have been banded over 2 years and still take my time and enjoy every single bite. I savor the flavor of my food now. I also eat way less and way slow. I use to laugh at my fork resting on the plate, I would see just how long I could leave it there. It became a game for me. We food lovers eat too, too fast. I have to tell you I have lost 110 pounds and just had my full body "Nip and Tuck". I feel even better in my new and improved healthy body. Make sure you take the time to heal as it is from the inside out! I eat small to be small. I eat REAL food not processed anything. I take my time, I started to practise as soon as I got me date so start now and it will be a habit by the time your band date gets here. Best wishes on you journey. imaluckydog

  10. Congrats, I always put a little food on my plate and moved it around with my fork as I walked around and talked to people. No one will be watching you eat. Tell her how delicious everything is. If she says anything just say you have planned all your meals out and you needed to eat at home. She will respect you, that you are not pigging out. I never told any of my friends about my band either. Just hold something and sip slowly. I always hated parties. Now that I have lost over 110 pounds I cant wait to go to them. Food will not be an issue cuz you want to feel good and look great. This is the time to follow all the rules. I did not rush back to work. I enjoyed my four weeks off. I think it depends on the kind of job you have. No lifting you are healing from the inside out. This is the time to pamper yourself. I eat small to be small. It is so amazing how little food we really need to eat to keep our bodies running. Best wishes and have a great weekend too. imaluckydog

  11. Beer oops empty calories for sure. I can only drink 1/4 of one it is the carbonation that kills me. Eat healthy and clean real food. I started exercising when I lost half of the weight I wanted to lose. I must exercise now to maintain. Make all the calories count. Protein first, small amounts of real food. I try to stay away from processed foods. I have a food addiction and I am in recovery from my recent "Nip and Tuck". All I think about is food. Best wishes imaluckydog

  12. I do not think you will have any problem taking powder mixes with you. You will need to bring something to mix the powder drinks in. Hotels do not have very big cups in the rooms. I took all kind of pills with me and vitamins with no problem what so ever. Best wishes imaluckydog

  13. Keep blogging all your thoughts this is the place my friend. I remember when I first started this journey. You sound just like me! I was worried about every little step of the way. I also started blogging my feeling and thoughts it helps and you can go back and read about your own progress. I have now been banned for 2 years and have lost 110 pounds. I have just had my "Nip and Tuck" and the recovery has been harder than the band. This is a special place and you can say what ever is on your mind here. I chose not to tell anyone outside my family about my band. I needed people like me to talk too. I got so much support on this site and I have gone back and re read all my blogs from the beginning. My journey has been very exciting. Best wishes on your journey. imaluckydog

  14. Rest and plan to take good care of yourself. Body needs to heal from inside to out! Walking is excellent but not so much you get tired. Little spurts keeps things moving. Your are doing great.

Best wishes and keep posting. Imaluckydog banned 2 years, lost 110 pounds and in recovery from "Nip and Tuck"
