  1. Happy Saturday night everyone! It is getting closer every day! Welcome to everyone who has joined this list!... I am lucky to have insurance coverage as well, but I did put $3900 in my Flex Spending Account (that covers my annual out of pocket max) Which is a lot better than the $16.5K my doc charges for his cash price. I often go check out the April 06 bandsters for motivation.
  2. Most of us on here are either newly banded or WAITING! A few vetrans post because they are AWESOME people! Most are out living their lives and the weight is no longer a forefront issue for them.
  3. HOLY MOLY!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU FOR POSTING!!!! I'm sending your pics to my mom and step dad! A true inspiration, and you guys look WONDERFUL!
  4. I have been HORRIBLE with my eating! Absolutely HORRIBLE, but I'm trying not to beat myself up about it. I have started buying little things here and there.... How's everyone doing today?
  5. Hey Marchies!!!!!!!! I'm so excited for you all! March and April seemed so far away back in January and now you lucky ducks are getting banded!!!! I can't wait to share my scars and stories of gas!!!!!!! LOL I've been off the boards becasue I was obsessing TOOOOOOOOOO much and it was driving everyone around me insane. I'm back and have got spring fever.... BAD! Keep posting and ENJOY that BROTH! LOL
  6. 3 hours Interview with Dr 457 question survey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. My two best RL friends have had the bypass........ both did great, both started out over 300 lbs and both lost over 120 lbs. One is 4 years out, and she has regained a significant amount of weight back. One is two years out and just had a tummy tuck and booblift. BOTH are still well under their original weight, but my friend who is 4 years out was one of those people who NEVER dumped, so she could get away with eating and drinking everything and size 28 to 10 up to 16 right now... she is extremely depressed and I am worried about her... she has stretched out her pouch and now is thinking about having the band placed on her existing pouch. Both say it is the best they have ever done for themselves. I guess what swayed me is that the band is NOT rerouting my PARTS! and I can be back to work in a few days vs a few weeks, and any general surgeon can remove it IF needed.
  8. My doc gives it back to us after 5 weeks.
  9. Hey guys.. I'm here! I just had to take a week break.... I was driving myself insane by obsessing.. and then yesterdy when I posted our internet went down... We are going to be down this afternoon too... all the daylight savings time patches for the server.... IT IS MARCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are in the home stretch! Can you believe it! Before too long we are going to be walking around talking about our scars and our gas! LOL I CAN NOT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have 20 minutes until the server goes down, I will try to go add everyone to the list before it does! BAND ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Hello everyone!!!!!!!!! I can't believe that I didn't post on this board all last week!!!!!!!!!! I think I almost forgot that I was having surgery! (not really, but I was obsessing SO much that I needed a break)
  11. I added you to the list Sarah! I pop in on the april 06'rs all the time it is so exciting to know that we will be in the same ball park this time next year! It is Raining here in KC today.... I may end up joining a health club after surgery and healing.
  12. Happy Band Day on MONDAY Dakota1984 - 02/26 :cake:IN_Denial - 02/26
  13. I KNOW!!! He was fun when we went out, (he was on a pool league, and we'd meet up on his league nights.. his friends were a hoot) but he had major personality issues.... he did not take it well when I finally said... SEE YA FREAKBOY! :biggrin1: (his nickname became bipolar boy) because when he was UP he was really up, and in an instant he would be way out there.
  14. Derick: Don't wait to get back in the game! I personally had good luck with online dating... that's how I met my dbf (2 years ago) before him, I had mixed luck, but boy was I busy.. and it was fun.... between emails, phone calls and the casual dates... I was always busy I first joined Eharmony... I think the trick with them is to only do it for a few months.. otherwise you run out of potential matches, I had several matches that got to the email and phone part, and I actually dated 3 of the guys more than once.(one guy was semiserious, but too intense)...... All very different, but all that I had things in common with....... Match.com..... had ok luck, but more of a meat market on a whim I joined Yahoo because they were running some kind of mothers day special or something and I met several guys off there...... I had nicknames for them and the last guy I dated a few times ended up being a FREAK.... he was an IT guy and we got to the point that we would be arguing over the IM....... he actually gave my laptop a virus.. After him I WAS DONE.... then I got a faceless email from a person that made me laugh out loud.. the only reason I even responded was because he was funny..... (I was like.. hey dude your hilarious but I don't respond to people who don't post pics... I'm quitting yahoo.. so thanks for the last laugh) he ended up being on line and quickly gave me his real email before I cancelled........... and that was it.......and two years ago. This is how I would work it.... 1. email(s) 2. phone call (s)(via cell so that it could NOT be traced to my address) 3. meet somewhere neutral for a casual date.. (in my own car) 4. regular date if all went well and we both liked each other. (oh and I never introduced my son to any of my casual dates, actually he only met dbf) GOOD LUCK! (You meet a lot of different people that are out of your normal circle of friends, some will be freaks, some will be nice but no sparks, and if your lucky you will have sparks with a couple... and of those couple one might be the lasting kind of sparks)
  15. I have never heard of the remote control band!!!!!!! wheets you tooo FUNNY!!!
  16. I think the band will help me from binging!!!!!!!!! No MORE will I be able to put away the AMOUNT of food that I can eat at one sitting! Imagine being stuffed after ONE piece of thin crust pizza... instead of eating the better part of a large (and bread sticks) One of the hardest things for me to learn will be how to decipher a 1. Soft Stop - runny nose, hiccup 2. Hard Stop - Golf Ball Feeling or a Projectile PB The head is going to be the hardest to overcome....... The "wasting" of food/money.
  17. Happy BAND DAY!!!!!!!!!!!! :cake:Mary - 02/23 :cake:Wilma – 02/23 :cake:Gretchen - 02/23
  18. GOOD LUCK TODAY, and keep us posted!!!!
  19. Depends on how many fat pads you have around your stomach at banding... I have heard that those with very little fat around their stomach feel more restriction with out fills and never really even NEED fills.. but those that do need fills as they lose it.. does this make sense? Everyone is so different!
  20. sounds like everyone needs to start popping AIRBORNE!!!!!!!!!! Take care!
  21. LOL... it depends on what year you see me... I've been up and down the scale so many times that one year you are congratulating me and the next your clicking your tongue......... Hell right now my drivers license looks NOTHING like me...... it was taken when I was right around 200 lbs..... I'm hoping that I am looking even better than that the next time I have to renew!
  22. WOW Pam! Glad you are alright.... keep us posted on your progress. When do you get to go home?
  23. TGIF! I woke up hungry, but proud of yesterday I actually packed some LC foods for myself today.... I always start my day with coffee and SF creamer B - 1 hb egg B - Dill Pickle (It was big fat and crunchy!) 2 carbs, 10 cal B - 2 slices of thin sliced deli ham (10 slices equal 1 carb) (NOTE: both are higher in sodium, but if I down Water it should wash it out) Sn - Protien shake lunch - Deli Ham - Hunk of Sharp Cheddar - 1 hb egg sn - Protien shake dinner - God HELP ME... it's Buffet night (we pick up dbf's kids and go to the local buffet restraunt) I am really tempted to stay home....... I am being 100% honest with you all... this is gonna be hard.
  24. GREAT POST KAT! Don't chicken out, you've come this far!
