  2. B - Protein Bar L - Grilled chicken D - pizza S - Cherry Pie WOW, that is SO BAD I hate being on the road!
  3. I will not eat meat with my salad so I've had to chose to not have salad since I still need to focus on my protein each day! I know one of these days I'll give in and have a salad though because I miss them!!
  4. B - Protein shake L - D - Ham and a veggie S - I slept in really late today so I have no clue what I'm going to be eating, if I even have room for lunch! Yesterday I didn't end up having any Snacks because I just couldn't fit any more food in! It's so strange that I can't eat as much as I did just a few weeks ago but I'm adjusting again!
  5. WOOHOO!! Tiffany that is SO Awesome! You are such an inspiration to those of us newley sleevers!! You Go Girl!
  6. I was prescribed a stool softener and it does it's job just great!
  7. I thought today would be a day of getting some good food in after being sick but I don't know if that is going to happen! B - 1 egg 1/2 piece of toast L - Going to try Tuna D - ???? S - Beef Jerky
  8. I am 14 weeks post-op today and it seems that my stomach is holding less food then it did just a few weeks ago? I am been sick for the past week and haven't been eating/drinking as much as I normally do but now that I'm feeling better I know I need to get protein in and some more calories. I have been able to eat 2 eggs and 1 piece of toast as a meal for WEEKS now and now I can't. I have tried twice this week and I'm only able to get 1/2 piece of toast and 1 egg and I'm FULL! Is it normal for you to go back and forth on the amount you can hold?
  9. SN..............Starting Wt........Current.......Goal.......Lbs to Goal Dawn...........192.8..................188.2..........175.............13.2 I guess being sick this week did something good for me! LOL
  10. I'm always looking for other ways to get protein and other drinks, I'll have to check this one out!!
  11. My NUT says I can count my protein drinks as part of my fluids for the day! They weren't concerned with my protein intake until at least 14 days out, before that it was all about the water!!!

I just need to vent cuz I just feel ICKY Thus far since surgery I have had three really nasty colds! I'm sure a lot is because we just moved from Hawaii to New York and that climate change is crazy! I am just getting over another nasty cold and have been pretty much house ridden this whole week, haven't worked out and just feel so BLAH! Today I woke up with Another migraine and after taking my meds and going back to sleep for a few hours I figured I would be good. NOPE All day I've had a headache (not a full on migraine) and my stomach is all just icky and every time I get up I'm dizzzy. I've been doing my darnest to get some food/drink in me but I just don't "want" anything! I finally got a cup of hot tea down and 3/4 of a protein shake and it's now 6pm and I still don't want food. I just HATE feeling all sicky
  13. I am just about 14 weeks post-op and I still have to supplement everyday. I have tried many times to get a full 60g+ of protein through foods but I just can't eat enough!
  14. According to my NUT I need to be around a 24!
  15. I found noticed this myself. When I stalled recently I had a couple of days that week that I ate a lot more calories (because I worked out a lot more) and that helped break my stall! I think this is something I will start trying harder to do!
  16. B - Protein shake or bar L - Tuna and crackers D - chicken and veggies S - ??? Don't know for sure today! Just getting over being sick and right now nothing sounds good still
  17. I am 3 months out and my NUT wants me under 1000! I average about 800!
  18. I have 4 of them but they were all pre-sleeve! I have a butterfly (ink and a needle at age 14) on my bottom, tribal art in a diamond shape on my lower back (tramp stamp - got it WAY before it was called that and before it was "cool" to have it there) I have tribal art on the back of my neck/top of my back that has a Gemini symbol in the middle of it for my daughter and then I have a teddybear holding a heart on my breast. I am very surprised that none of them have been distorted from weight gain or loss! I do want more but I haven't decided on what or where yet!
  19. My NUT said she has talked to a lot of others about special diets after surgery and has been hearing a lot of others say that they aren't doing anything either. That everyone has to learn to eat "real" food anyways so might as well learn from the start by chew chew chewing and taking it slow! I personally wouldn't have wanted to eat regular foods right away but who knows, if it works for someone then all the more power to them!
  20. Have you checked out any "running boards" like Runner's World and such? I too am training for a 5K at the end of April. I have done C25K before and didn't like it so I decided to go at this by myself. I started by walking for a certain amount of time and then jogging for the same amount until I either hit 30 or 40 mins depending on my time frame that day! I then started to actually try and complete a 5K. I just walk when I feel I need to walk (at a 4.0 pace on the treadmill) and I jog/run when I feel the "need" (at a 5 or 5.5 depending) My last 5K on the treadmill was in 37:37! For me personally it's just about getting in there and doing it at least 3 times a week, making myself run more then I walk or if I feel I must walk, walk at a decent speed! I am one of those people though who is going to be happy with just finishing!!!
  21. Very Scary!!! I have had many allergic reactions throughout the life so I totally feel for ya! Glad your DH was able to think fast and also get your to the ER!
  22. I have read through that post and that is what happened to someone yes but doesn't mean it will happen to everyone. I will continue to follow the plan that my surgeon and NUT have set forward for me!
  23. I too say listen to your surgeon and NUT not the trainer! Trainers usually aren't as well educated about WLS! My surgeon and NUT say to have snacks and small meals but every doctor is different and has seen what works with most of their patients. I am 3 months out and I don't think I could eat all that the trainer wants!! LOL
  24. I just talked to my Surgeon and NUT about this last week after seeing people say things about not eating coconut and other things but both my Surgeon and NUT say there is NOTHING that is off limits unless my own personal body doesn't agree with it! Like Ice Cream doesn't agree with me so I'll be staying away from it!! LOL Also I eat A LOT of red meat and also a lot of chicken! Protein baby!!!
  25. Each person has to work thier sleeve how they need to but my personally, I will allow myself to have sweets. I don't believe in totally writing off stuff because that just makes me want it worse and then I end up bingeing! If/when I get a craving for something then I have it. For example, RIGHT NOW I wanted something sweet so I just put A cookie in the oven and it's baking. One cookie isn't going to kill all the work I've done and sometimes by the time it's done cooking and then cooling I don't even want it anymore! LOL Good Luck and keep up the good work!!!
