  1. I LOVE and HATE it!! I too just put on a pair of work pants this morning and thought I looked like a clown! LOL I am now down to 1 pair of black and 1 pair of grey work pants and 1 black skirt!! It's crazy how fast everything went bye bye I'm really sad for somethings because they were so super cute! LOL I have NEVER been a thrit store person but I am really wondering if I need to start because this is getting expensive! LOL
  2. My daughter is 6 just about 7 and I explained to her about my surgery and how they were removing about 90% of my stomach so I would have to eat really small meals and that it would mean that they whole family would change the way we eat! She LOVES it! She asked a lot of questions and I answered the best I could so she could understand. When I first got hom she wanted to see my scars like EVERYDAY! LOL She 70+ lbs later she makes comments when she sees me (we are in different states right now because of my job and house buying) she talks about how HEALTHY I look (we don't use the word skinny)! She is VERY into eating better and she is always our little reminder of "snack" foods and how maybe an apple would be better she says! LOL
  3. I had a "mini" goal to be 175 by the 30th of April for a race and I did it! YAY! My next mini goal is to be 163lbs because that will put me back to pre-pregnancy weight (my daughter is almost 7!) LOL
  4. A 1 week stall is very normal, like the other said, have patience! It SUCKS I know I have been there! A lot depends on how far out you are as well. I personally have learned that I MUST get 60+g of protein EVERYDAY in order see the numbers move on the scale!
  5. I run very low BP at all times (before surgery and after) and I know what helps me is Water for sure but also enough calories! I don't seem to be as light headed when I have made sure to eat enough and I MUST get some sugar in each day! Good Luck!
  6. I'm 5 3/4 months post-op and I'm still FREEZING ALL THE TIME!!!

I was just talking to my friend about swim suits yesterday and I don't know yet but I'm going to do this year! I usually wear Tankini's because they are comfortable and I wear the ones with a skirt bottom but I don't think I will need that this year!! We are going to go suite shopping in a few weeks so we'll see how comfortable I feel and in what!
  8. I went to lunch today and I asked my friend as we were walking in to randomly just say Slow Down to me! LOL I'm usually REALLY good about it and haven't had any problems at all but I think I was just too excited for it yesterday! Roast is my FAVORITE meal EVER and it was Mothers Day and I was sad since I'm without my family right now and I had been smelling it cook for Hours! LOL
  9. SN..............Starting Wt........Current.......Goal.......Lbs to Goal Dawn..........176.4....................174.6...........150.8.........23.8
  10. Tried on some jeans today and I'm in a size 12!!!!!! I really can't remember the last time I was a size 12! I know I graduated highschool at a 10 and I was married 4 years later at a 14 so sometime in between there and that was over 11 years ago!! Whats really crazy is I have been this weight within the last 6 years. One time while doing WW I got down to 173 (174 right now) and I was a size 14 then but a 12 now!! WOOHOO!! So I went from my highest size of 24 in Nov. 2010 to a 12 in May 2011
  11. I too am a very picky eater and have been my whole life. I have found that my tastes have changed since surgery somewhat, not drastic but some! I say FORCE yourself to try other foods that you used to not eat. I also suggest that make sure you are taking your time and just continue with what you have. After I was on solids I did a Protein Shake for breakfast, eggs or tuna fish for lunch and some sort of meat for dinner. It's pretty basic but you make do!! Good Luck!!
  12. Well I have been so happy for the past 5 1/2 months that I haven't ever got sick nor really felt like it well that all changed tonight I made a roast with potatos and carrots for dinner (my favorite meal) for Mothers Day. We ate dinner about 7 pm and I knew right away I had started to eat too fast so I put my plate aside and went back to it over time. I started getting a really bad headache so I took some meds and I ended up passing out on the couch for a little bit. Woke up and wanted some milk so I had a little cup of milk and a piece of chocoalte. I was feeling okay except for the headache. Next thing I know I feel SO AWFUL full! I start to sit here and just burp and that will usually help but nope it wasn't working, I feel did feel like I could get sick. Off to the bathroom I went and sure enough, I got sick. It was crazy because the food wasn't digested from like 3 hours earlier?? CRAZYNESS I tell ya! I feel much better now (it's been about 30 mins since I got sick). I don't know what/why it happen but I really don't want it to happen again so I will FOR SURE be really watching myself again! One of the biggest reasons why I didn't do LapBand was because I HATE HATE HATE to get sick! UGH!
  13. I found out quickly that for me it's all about the protein! If I don't get enough in I won't lose!
  14. Keep it going Kassie you are doing GREAT!!!
  15. I was told to focus more on hydration that early out then on protein! Worry about the Protein more in a week or so and for now just rest and keep yourself VERY hydrated!! As for the restriction, everyone is different. I was on the "small" side of things. In 30 mins I was lucky to get in 60cc of Water up until about 1-2 weeks out! I was VERY Swollen!
  16. So I was just coming here to talk about this! UGH! I have totally seen a gain (I try not to weigh myself at all during TOM but I did dang it!) and it does really seem like I can eat A LOT more then usual! I know now that after 5 months that it is temporary but dang it sucks to see the numbers move up! BUT, I guess I should still be happy because my clothes actually seem looser then last week! LOL
  17. I was nauseous but not in pain! They just kept giving me nauseous meds and I was fine! I never got sick or even came close! (still to this day!! YAY!)
  18. 5 months B - 3/4 Protein Shake and Coffee L - Sausage bites and cheese crackers D - ? thinking fish maybe? S - Beef Jerky - Fruit gummies V - at night W - working on it E - supposed to be running stairs with my roomie tonight!
  19. My husband and I were supposed to get it done 2 weeks apart and if he would have gone through with it we would have been fine! I was totally fine to do just about anything by 1 week after surgery!!
  20. I too was surprised at doing chicken at only 3 weeks post-op? I would stick with mushy/pureed foods and liquids. You can still be very swollen on the inside at only 3 weeks out!
  21. SN..............Starting Wt........Current.......Goal.......Lbs to Goal Dawn..........176.4....................175.4...........150.........25.4
  22. WOOHOO CONGRATS!!!!! It really is such a huge difference when you aren't carrying that weight! I picked up my 50lb child and just carried her across the house and WOW, how did we ever carry all that extra weight around! LOL
  23. So yesterday was supposed to be my first ever 5K race but a few weeks back I decided to do the Scope it Out with my friends but I was still signed up for todays and it was AWESOME! First I made a goal for myself to weight 175 by race day! Because of course I could run a race at 175lbs! LOL Well earlier this week I didn't think I would make it as I was doing not so great Well I DID! YAY!! The scale was 175.6 this morning! WOOHOO!! Go to the 5K and found out there were hills UGH I was not looking forward to this! It was downhill at the start so that meant uphill at the end! SUCKY SUCK SUCK!!! BUT, I did pretty good. Could have done better but am VERY happy with my time of 36:17!! WOOHOO Thats 1:40 better then the last race where there were NO hills! LOL
