My Fitness Pal Food Nutrition Tracker

I use MyFitness Pal too. I started using it about a month ago. I don't know if you have noticed how to changed the percentages but I adjusted mine to suit my body. Everyone is different. I require a lot more protein according to my surgeon and less carbs to lose. So I currently have it set at 40% carbs 50% protein and 10% fat. I have my calories set at 1400 but rarely do I get that many. Keep in mind too that when you log your exercise it will add available calories for that day. I hope you like it as much as I do. It has really helped me focus on what I am eating and how much I am exercising.:smile2:

    I have a new baby...

Congrats! Good idea by the way!
  6. I believe it does happen alot faster for some people. I had surgery 12/09/09 and I was officially off all of my insulin 6 weeks later. Still haven't had any issues. Congrats on your lower blood pressure, that is awesome!
  7. I was banded 12/09/09 and so far nothing stuck. I do get uncomfortable if I eat too fast though. I have 5.2cc in a 10cc band with really good restriction right now.

    2nd fill yesterday

So I got my 2nd fill yesterday bringing me to 5.2cc in a 10cc band. My first fill was only 4 cc. WOW, what a difference a small amount can make. I went home to the normal 24 hours of liquids my doctor advises and had a glass of milk. I drank it just like I had been and soon discovered that isn't going to work anymore. I had to, I know gross, PB some of it. I had never had that happen with anything before. Never PB'd before at all. So lesson learned here, I must drink much slower and I am betting that when I am back to solid food, I won't be eating as fast either. Amazing the little lessons we learn along the way. I am currently sipping my coffee! lol

  12. Thanks so much for the encouragement. My Dr. said the same things to me this morning during my visit. I just want to see a different side of life. My health is fairly good at this point, but I do know things can quickly change if I don't make changes for my life and family. I want to feel good about myself inside and out. At this point, am not too excited about the things I seen in thte mirror, but one day really soon there will be a difference.

You look really great and happier as well. Stay focused anad encouraged.

    Everything is Down hill

At the time I thought the 6 months diet was crazy too but looking back I realize now that one of the reasons they do it is to see how serious you are about making a commitment to getting the band. It actually took me over 2 years, long story, but once I did the everything and had my surgery, I can tell you this side of the fence is the best place in the world. I WAS a severe diabetic 7 weeks ago. Now I am off one insulin and most likely coming off the other soon. I feel 10 years younger and in control. Believe me when I tell you that it will pass quicker than you think and you too will join me over here where life is good and healthy. I will keep you in my prayers!

    ME

  15. I had surgery on Wednesday and was back at my desk full time on the following Monday. However, I was exhausted most everyday when I got home that week.
