Just goes to show we have come along way, because that is something generally that isn't said anymore, but we still have far to go. It was easier for white ethnic groups to assimilate into main stream, because well they were/are white. Someday I hope that race/color will no longer be an issue for all.

I have been banded on August 1st. I started at a size 28/30, barely fitting in those, but couldn't find any bigger clothes. Since then I have lost over 80 pounds. I am now a size 14/16, and I am sure those will be too big soon. So in my opinion I think I have lost some serious weight.

Ok, here is my two sense, and the future therapist in me! I understand why you and your husband were upset by his comment. I think that if you feel the need to confront him, there are ways that you can do it without being rude or cruel. You said he was new, so he would not know the history of the other churches. Explain to him that was the intent of the question with open, honest communication. There is no need to defend the fact you are not a racist, it is not the issue.

LAP BAND is the ONLY way to go! My mom just had a bypass, and is having a hell of a time. She is loosing weight, but also her hair! She hs also has had a stricture. Her friend just had a bypass this week and is havingv trouble as well. The bypass has alot of downsides. Research them both! GOOD LUCK!

I have a card, and tried to use it once. I just didn't like telling a stranger my business. So now we go to places where I can order off the kids menu no questions asked: Olive Garden Cracker Barrel Bob Evans (senior menu) Applebees But I think it does depend on the server as well!

I call him Dozer, or Bobo, or my little boy...lol. he knows when mama wants her baby she wants him! Bullies are definately great personalities! I highly reccomend them if you can afford the vet bills..

I don't understand why Tri care does not pay for the band. I have Champva, which is for those family members that are military disabled. They do pay. I would ask them why Champva pays and not Tricare. It is just stupid!
