Boo Boo Kitty's PS Journey
Hey all, I went to the surgeon again today. He already wants to talk revision....grrrr....he said that he believes he made the wrong choice, and should have not tried the new technique on my breasts...wtf??? grrrr...he wants to be thinking about it, he said in September we will be thinking of revision surgery then. I am upset and pissed off. But what can you do? I would love to post pics but photobucket deleted them! They said they violated terms of service! NO joke. SO if anyone knows how to upload them without using them please let me know. And for the port....it is what it is! I am so upset. He told me that my port was "huge", the size of a golf ball. And fixing it wouldn't be easy. I asked if I should go see my Bariatric surgeon he told me no. I am going to go see him anyways. If I can them to answer the phone.....grrrr.. SO I want to post pics but I can't from photobucket, any ideas??

Steady Losers 4ever!
Thanks Faith. After today I am NOT happy at all... Dr wants to talk about revision already. He is not happy so far with my breasts and wants to discuss it in Sept. He is anticipating now that he will want a revision. BTW, who has to pay for that???? He also told me my port is what it is. Literally it looks like I have a baby's foot or hand sticking out. It hurts like hell as well. I asked if I should talk to my surgeon, he told me no. He said the surgery will be hard for a revsion and it isn't on the table now. I understand I need to be healthy, but I want to know NOW what my options are...grrr..... Please remind me girls, this will be worth it someday right??

can't get motivated.
I agree, there is no way to do it, other than make yourself. Once you start making a routine of it, it does get easier. And once the weight starts falling off you will be REALLY into it! But starting it SUCKS. I know how you feel. I started out for 15 minutes a day and now I do about 1-1.5 hours, it is worth it. Just get motivated to go one day, take it day by day. That is all it takes, one day makes a difference in your attitude. And the next day, go no matter what. IT does get better. Good luck to you!

Kink in my tubing :(
Oh Fanny! I am so sorry hun! I hope things go well at the surgeon. Is there any chance it can unkink itself? I am sure that is just wishful thinking. Good luck to you! Hugs and thinking of you!

Steady Losers 4ever!
Hey girls! I am going back to the Dr today...ugh....I am still sick with the pneumonia. I am out of antibiotics as of today. YUCK! I still feel horrible, but I guess it is what it is eh? Steph--I know what you mean EXACTLY! I feel the skin still there sometimes and have to check to make sure it isn't falling over my underwear. lol...but the dead feeling is just weird! I don't have to wear a binder. My Dr does not believe in them. Funny hu? I can't wait to get my stiches out. I can't wait to feel human again. This sick shit has got to go! Ginger--glad that you had fun! Sometimes going away is the best thing, but the food will get ya! Hugs to all! I will update you after the Dr again today....blah....

Steady Losers 4ever!
Yes, Faith you told me so! lol...but in my defense it is harder than HELL to breathe when your port is in between your ribs. It is still sticking out there, I hope it goes down! UGH! Jill-glad you had fun on the cruise. Steph--how aer you hanging in?

Hey girls... I am not re admitted again, lol.... I am feeling a bit better today. It has been HARD. The pnemonia is pretty bad, but the antibiotics are working. I sit up for awhile and get tired. It is amazing how tired you can get struggling to breathe. Did some measuring today, lol, pre emptive I know!!! BUT so far I have lost 2" on the bust, 3" on the waist and 3" on the hips. I am still VERY swollen too!! WOO HOO!! lol... My battery is about to die, I will write more later! Love to all!

Boo Boo Kitty's PS Journey
Hey everyone! I am beginning to feel human again. I went to work today just to say hello. I miss work. I am going to go nuts. They were happy and mad to see me...lol... My port area is so huge, I am so worried. I hope the swelling goes down or I am sure I will be having a revision. I am hoping they didn't put it too close to the skin, it sticks out above my ribs now. SUCKS....I am debating on going to see my Lap band surgeon. I wonder what he would say. What do you all think? I am going to post some before and afters soon.

It's Kats turn!!!!
Hey Kat! I am so excited for you to come join me on the "plastics" side! BUT if I can offer a bit of advice, breathe, breathe more than you have ever breathed before. It sounds so simple, but it is so simple to forget after surgery!! Pretend you are hot and heavy with the DH and breathe.....please trust me! I am so excited for you! WOO HOO! BTW, I had to sign the "no pre authorization" form. It SUCKS!

Thanks everyone, day 3 on antibiotics seems to be a bit better. They changed my pain meds and upped them. He thought (and is right) one of the reasons I can't cough this out is the pain. So he put me on Oxycodone. What a whalop! I got my drains out and got some of the details from surgery. 5 pounds of skin were removed from my tummy. 300 grams from each breast. According to my scale I have lost 6 pounds. That I am not so excited about, but I know it is skin. I really don't want to loose anymore. Crazy from where I once was. I did go to the store today to get a new sports bra. I don't have to wear ther ugly granny one if I have a good sports bra! SO I found a nice one that provides "Maximum support" lol....but that event wiped me out. I was only out for 2 hours and it feels like years!

Steady Losers 4ever!
Jill! Glad you had fun girl! Those 4 pounds are baby anyways! I am back to the surgeon this morning. Girls are feel so bad, I was so scared I didn't sleep last night. I tried not to let myself because I am scared I might not wake up. This is bad and not getting better. They need to help me.....I will update when I get back. Love ya all...

Boo Boo Kitty's PS Journey
Hi all, thanks for all of your suport. I am back to the surgeon today. I feel horrid, I struggle with every breath. I know I have only had antibiotics a few days now but I feel I shouldn't have to work this hard to breath. I believe that some of this is my fault. I should have been doing more deep breathing and getting out of that damn bed. Now I am paying for it. I am hoping it goes uphill from here, because it it goes downhill, I gonna just roll.................

Hi, fellow thirty-somethings =)
Hey all, Just wanted to update all of you. I have posted this on my PS thread but I am miserable right now.Surgery did not go as expected. Left there with my port in a new place, nicely right beneath my rib cage in the middle. SUCKS! I also got all of my muscles stitched together because of a hernia, so I feel really bad. Otherwise looks good and boobs are awsome! But I could certainly do without all this drama.... Well I wanted to update you all on my lovely day.... I got back late this last night from the ER. I was having real trouble breating and spiking a fever. I had called my surgeon and the on call Dr sent me to an after hours clinic. But after getting me into the car and me passing in and out of concisouness my DH took me to Foote Hospital. When I got there my pulse ox was 81%, I was tacardiac with a rate of 155, and a fever of 102.3. I was miserable and slipped in and out of reality. They didn't waste anytime getting me and put me ahead of 4 people as soon as DH wheeled me in. They thought I was having a heart attack. I was also dehydrated so they had a hell of a time getting blood or get an IV in, hurt like hell. After an EKG my heart was ok. The blood work showed my white blood cells were trying to fight something. A chest xray confirmed I have pnemonia in my lower left lobe. They put me on IV antibiotics as soon as they got the results. I took 1 hour of IV antibitiocs and was sent home with oral antibiotics. I feel like I have been run over by a truck, it sucks. What a way to spend Mother's Day, blah....

Update... Hey ya'all... As Faith said I was discharged later than expected. Dr got in there and repaired a hernia and tightened all of my stomach muscles. I was not expceting any of that. My port is now right in between my ribs it SUCKS. I am hoping it will go down, my Bariatric surgeon said that is NOT a place for my port to be, but for a few weeks until swelling goes down there is no way to tell that is where it really is....hurts bad. I think a lot of this was because I was not prepared for the muscle and hernia portion. The hernia was from the car accident, which I went to the Bariatric surgeon and was convienced that I didn't have one....wahh.... There is no anchor incision though, so that means they did a hell of alot of pulling, I was told I can expect to be a 4 now...woo hooo....I don't even care anymore, does that suck?? I will try to get on at least once a day. The girls look AMAZING right now! lol...I only have 2 scars on eacch breast. Dr did a new technique so there will be some rippling for a bit that will settle in about 6 months. David likes them! THAT HELPS! I don't have the long cuts all the way across the bottom of the breast, so it is cool. They aren't bothing me at all. They tried their best to make them D's but since I had lost another 10 since my surgeon saw me last he wasn't sure. I am ok with them either way, they look so nice and perky! :frown: I am in so much pain and it is so hard for me right now. It is the port and hernia that is killing me. I am so scared it will have to be moved. I can fucking feel it everytime I breath, I hate it. And forget about coughing this shit out, I just can't do it.... Steph I am so glad you are doing well! I am jelous I am still in pjs and don't expect to abandon them anytime soon! Bman--woo hooo!! You go girl! lol..

Lansing Michigan just getting started on the journey and need advice
Insurance covered mine. I had tp pay 25% but I was billed. I think it is all different. My insurance has an allowable amount, therefore they had no idea what my portion would be until AFTER surgery. So I was billed. My friend had to pay her co pay up front. I think it is all dependant on what you have! Good luck!
