First real "encounter" since the surgery (lots of fooling around, but yesterday was... the full meal deal). And... guys... wow. GET THIS SURGERY.
Before the surgery, I was a real "one minute wonder" (if I could even get lucky; at 338, it doesn't happen much). I would be panting and wheezing and see spots, and I was lucky to even be able to finish. I was used to the woman not... finishing, either.
    Yesterday.
    SEVEN. HOURS.
She had more... moments of joy than I could count (maybe 12? 15? 20?), and I had... THREE.
THREE. In one night! Guys, I'm 42. That just doesn't HAPPEN to guys my age.
And it certainly never happened before the sleeve.
Good god, men, if you have ANY problems in that area at all and are pre-sleeve, RUN, don't walk, and get the surgery.
UN-FREAKING-BELIEVABLE. I thought that stuff only happened in porno movies...
Ok, I'll shut up now. But... wow.
    Sore... exhausted... and happy
Edit: uh, it wasn't seven hours continuously, I should mention... 8pm till 3am, but not all, uh, action. Even at my current fitness level, that WOULD kill me. Seven hours of go... rest, chat, laugh... go... rest, chat, laugh... repeat until too sore and exhausted to continue! And NOW I WILL shut up.

I had my sleeve surgery on 7/24/13. I started out with a 48 jeans and 50 slacks. I went to Walmart today to buy some new sleeping pants. I thought I would get an XL. So I took one of those and a Large in the dressing room. I can't believe that the XL was way too big. So now I am in large pants or 38 jeans. This is so amazing and I feel so good.
I started getting rid of all of the drugs that I no longer use. My medicine closet is now a shoe box with lots of room to spare. I also found out that my CPAP pressure is reduced from 13 to 6 the tech told me that I would most likely be taken off that to.
Wow, I am so very happy and I feel like a 40 year old (I'm 60)
    Mark Edmond ok.

I haven't been exercising as much as before my cruise. My November goal is to exercise daily for at least 45 minutes. So far so good! :-).

meltingaway72 reacted to mom2five in 5 Months and 94 pounds down (caution, underwear pic)
I'm 5 months out from surgery and I've lost 94 pounds. I have 55 pounds left to lose to reach my goal of 125. I'm 5 ft tall. I'm so excited about the weight I've lost so far and feel a million times better.
I hesitate to post this because the before pic is me in my underwear but It's the only pic I have that really shows the difference. I hope it doesn't offend anyone.
My family is getting ready to go on a beach trip and I bought a swim suit. I got a halter bikini top and swim shorts. I tried to find a pic of me last year at the beach but I couldn't find any that showed me from the shoulders down...but I found this underwear pic from the night before surgery.
I've lost a total of 64 inches so far! I've lost 13.5 inches from my hips and 10 inches from each thigh!! I'm amazed at the process and I'm loving this journey!
Please, if underwear offends you, do not click on the pic. :-)

I'm seven weeks post op and I have a looong way to go, but your pictures are an inspiration to me. i took some pictures this weekend and compared them to what I looked like only few weeks before my surgery (8/19/13). Can't believe the difference already and can't wait to see what I look like by new year's.
Also flew this weekend and it was the first time in YEARS that I fit in the seat without making the armrest pop up or having to practically jam myself against the window side so that I wouldn't "ooze" over to the adjoining seat! Flying has been a huge source of anxiety for me-so grateful for my sleeve!

This past week made 4 months since my vertical sleeve gastrectomy.... Sometimes I can't believe it's real. As of 2 days ago, I am 75 lbs down since my surgery weight. And I feel FANTASTIC! This is absolutely the best thing I've ever done for myself.
PS: Are y'all still getting the error messages for blogs / gallery??. I'm just dying to update! LOL I have pics of what I've been eating as well as some NSV pics that I can't wait to share.

meltingaway72 reacted to LipstickLady in Laundry NSV!
I was folding my laundry today (right out of the dryer -- that's an NSV all on it's own) and every item I pulled out was either yoga pants or a t-shirt. This isn't anything new from my fat days until I realized that I didn't wear these clothes all week because they were comfortable and all I felt like wearing, but because I SWEATED IN THEM every single day this week!!
I am no longer wearing my exercise clothes to hold down the couch but to...
    EXERCISE!!!!!!!
And while I am wasting your time, I will throw out that I hiked over 10 miles today, logging 25k+ steps on my fitbit AND I am doing a Pretty Muddy 5k Obstacle course in the morning. AND I LIKE IT!!

meltingaway72 got a reaction from Vblount in Any Regrets? Band to sleeve?
I had a band to sleeve revision in June2013 and it was the BEST decision ever. My lapband kept slipping and was causing severe reflux. Since converting I've had no reflux and I've had pretty consistent weight loss which I didn't have with the band. The one thing I truly enjoy is that the sleeve feels more natural than the band ever did. Hope this helps. :-)
