  1. I'm so sorry the first few days were hard on you. I'm happy that the worst is past now, though. I was lucky to come through the surgery very easily. At my first post op doc visit, they were all amazed at how well I was getting around. I'm not bragging, I'm just trying to say that I think I must have been the exception and what you experienced is probably more common. I was banded on March 24th.
  2. I must be some sort of idiot or something! Maybe I'm losing brain cells with the pounds! I JUST figured out where you guys are on here! I joined several days ago and then couldn't find any posts! Sheesh! Did we ever decide on a name? I like Lucky Losers or March Melters. Anything is fine with me! I started on pureed food today. I got 1/2 cups of mashed potatoes down and I am extremely FULL. That's a crazy feeling. I love it! I think i made one of those tickers...now I'm trying to figure out how to get it on my profile. I was a MSN group member for years and find that I am having some trouble switching to the yahoo groups. Never fear...I'm sure I'll catch up with everything eventually. Mar
  3. The surgery really is pretty easy. I was surprised at the discomfort I felt afterward...intellectually I knew there would be discomfort, but I was still surprised by it. It only lasted a couple of days and I am fit as a fiddle now. My surgery was at 11:30 AM and I was home by 4 PM. They gave me a narcotic for pain, but I only used it a couple of time. I didn't really need it, but I was afraid I would start to hurt and didn't want that to happen. I managed just fine with liquid tylenol. Good luck!
  4. There is a TON of information online about lapband. Read everything you can find to help you prepare. I've only been banded since March 24th. I've lost 32 lbs since March 5th. I'm thrilled with my decision to have the surgery. Good luck!
  5. Hi. I'm Mar. I was banded on March 24th. So far so good. I've lost 30 lbs since March 5th. I hope to get to know you and make some friends here. I'll get online again in the morning to work on my profile and read the message boards. Glad I found you!:scared2:
