  1. Okay, now lets compare that to pre-band diet.... That's a grand total of???? cup of soup- 50 cals? light string cheese- 90 cals x 5= 450 cals popsicle- sugar free??? 0-90 cals Protein shake (probably the best thing for you all day...)- 300 cals? what the heck are garlic stuff olives? Doesn't look like much more than a thousand calories.
  2. I belong in this group too. I'm single with just my animals. No man in my life, although I would like one. I often wonder if I passed up my opportunity to have the happily married life to go to college and have a career. Hmm...
  3. Time to love me- CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I'M SO JEALOUS!!!! GOOD FOR YOU!!!! Dancer- Hi! Nice to meet you. Socalgal- we should form a club
  4. I can't get my model to have big enough boobs to be realistic. I am unfortunately very top-heavy. Sigh....
  5. Thanks Time to love me, I have actually lost that weight in the last 5 months since I left my toxic job and am now in my new healthier job! People who see me when I go back already are amazed at how much thinner i am. Now to just keep it off..... Thanks for the cheers, you make me feel warm and fuzzy inside
  6. Sounds fun, count me in, please.
  7. Wow, I've learned alot. Nancysmiles, your name brings tears to my eyes. Princess n thep... I was thinking it was like "princess in therapy"- your version is much better! I always wondered where Funnyduddies came from too... Lizzilo is the name my ex-ex-ex boyfriend called me. It's cause my name is liz and it's like a snoop dog version of it (ugh ) On yahoo my name is lizpqr. We had the same homeroom through all of high school and in my junior year, someone asked me (when signing yearbooks) hey- how do you spell liz? I replied "p-q-r" and it stuck for my whole senior year. I thought it was a silly question. I was a smarta** even then.... So, stripper names. I had originally heard your first pet and the road you first lived on, which would be Patches Scottsdale. Hmm... or it could be Patches Clark (with the maiden name thing). Dog now and street now Kaydie Krystal Leigh.... not so good. I like Patches Scottsdale the best.
  8. Highest weight: 187 Currently: 164 Goal: 115 (120?) I'm only 5 feet tall people!
  9. Lots of heavy medical people... I blame the drug reps!!! :Banane22:
  10. Randi, I know how you feel. I am also lonely. I moved to a new city 4 months ago for a great new job, but left all of my friends behind. I'm working on making new ones, but it takes time and they still don't think to include me in things. I am single, living with my my 2 dogs, 2 ferrets, guinea pig and fish- but they're just not the same as human company. Tomorrow I have to work and I know I'll get to sew people up who cut themselves on beer bottles celebrating, fix people who have done other dumb stuff celebrating- all while I work my a** off. Anyway, I'm here for you and I totally understand
  11. free cinnamon doughnuts? i gotta go to australia! I know, i know, wrong attitude.
  12. Courtney, I actually switched too from Dr. O to Sanchez/Zapata. I heard great things about them, and was a little worried about O's erosion rates and stories of being treated like an assembly line. I figure I'm taking enough risks going to mx, I might as well go with the one i feel most comfortable with (after spending entirely too much time reading this board!!! )
  13. My friends and family don't know I'm going to Mexico for my surgery. They just wouldn't understand at all. I have heard many good things about the surgeons in Mexico, and several stories regarding complications and their Mexico MD's stepping up to the plate and resolving the issues. I personally am doing a hybrid of this. I have arranged for a local physician to do my follow up and fills. Should I have any major complications, I'll have someone nearby.
  14. ALL RIGHT EVERYBODY. UP AND AT 'EM! GET MOVING, GET MOVING! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!! That was my attempt at being your personal cheerleader! Like it?
  15. Woo hoo! I can't wait to be there.... now I just need... a flat tummy and a DH LOL Do you have before and after pics?
  16. I couldn't agree more! :biggrin1: I can see the toilet paper through the trees now.... :bananajump:
  17. Courtney, I'm July 31 with Dr. Zapata (Dr. Sanchez's associate). Maybe I'll see you down there!
  18. It's also your weight in kg!
  19. I still need you guys though!
  20. Okay- the doggie cartoon had me rolling on the floor. My dogs started barking at me because I was laughing so much. I love Jessica Simpson. Okay, she's not the brightest bulb, but she's hot.
  21. Look at your before and after pics.... You have arms now!!!! Woo hoo! WAy to go!
  22. Another two causes of this can be magnesium and calcium. Get your 'lytes (electrolytes) checked.
  23. My PCP and I had a long discussion regarding the lap-band, how I wanted it, why I wanted it, etc. She agreed, we did the pre-op testing.... and then she sent a letter to my insurance company saying she didn't think it was medically sound. I found a new PCP.
  24. I think you would likely have better luck finding a new PCP and having them request the med recs. All you have to do is fill out a form with the new office and they will have the recs faxed to their office. I think with this "wonderful physician" (do you hear my sarcasm?) the new office will have more leverage. Also, you'll essentially be hiring a secretary to do the harassing of the old office for you. Unfortunately a private physician's office is technically private property and they can have you escorted from the facility by security or the police if you go in there irate. You have rights to your records, but they may make you go through legal channels to get them. Often they require you to go through medical records department. By the way, I'm a physician assistant and agree that your md's behavior is unacceptable.
  25. Hi everyone. We got way buried and I was just going to move us a little...... So I told one person at work tonight, and instead of having to explain this that and the other, she said "oh yeah, I had a gastric bypass last year!" She then went on to point out all the different people at work who have had gastric bypasses.... I wonder if being in medicine makes you fat- you know with the drug reps bringing yummy stuff all the time... Anyway, she didn't know of anyone being banded, but i was really amazed at the number of people she told me about (5!).
