  1. I was curious as to why you would put NO SUGARS on it or put diabetic when you are not. I almost find that more risky than not having one on at all.
  2. Yes Dana i agree that was way too much too soon! Slow down and it will be great:) Good luck!
  3. Everyone has given you great advice. SLOW DOWN and CHEW! You do have restriction or it wouldn't be getting stuck and by the sounds of it, you don't need a fill.
  4. It will work if you make it work! The band will not do it for you, you have to bust your ass but it makes it so much easier! It is a constant reminder to behave, set limits for yourself and a constant reminder that you made a commitment to you! The surgery is different for everyone, I didn't feel well for about 5 days and i was very sore. Other people didn't have any problems at all and said they could go back to work the very same day! You can do this! BEST OF LUCK! Remember, YOU are worth the work!
  5. Hahah you do realize you have lost 16lbs in less than a month right? I would say the weight is comming off.
  6. My vote is for GNC pro performance, with one cup skim milk it has 28g of protein in it and under 200 calories. It tastes great and is not gritty at all. Comes in choc, straw, banana, cookies and cream, cappachino, caramel and many more! Reasonably priced too!
  7. OH yes, there are things I really really miss like a piece of deep dish pizza hut pizza. I physically can't eat that anymore. I also miss chicken wings and I have a hard time with that too. However, when you look in the mirror see the changes, hear the compliments, feel the difference and slip into those skinny high heeled shoes, you will forget all about those Sushi Rolls:)
  8. Cocoabean the band my not have air in it but it can provide added pressure when flying. I have had trouble everytime have flown. I can't eat a thing for a whole day after i fly. It of course will and can be different for every person but it should be known it can happen.
  9. CUREFORTHEEND! You are ready now, I can tell that by just reading your second post. A 2cc band wow yeah that must have been a crazy struggle to live with considering it didnt do what you needed it to do. I wish you ALL the luck and best wishes, this time your gonna get where you want to go!
  10. try the digital food scale from biggestloser.com
  11. Honey you are not going to lose 10lbs a week. You should be so excited about the 21 lbs you have lost. How long would it have taken you to lose 21lbs without the band. I think you need to relax and adjust to your new lifestyle. Also, because you are so newly banded you dont want to be crazy at the gym but try walking a little more each day! Best of luck to you!
  12. 1st visit was on 10/10/08 and i was banded 2/4/08 so a few months for sure!
  13. Curefortheend my question is this.......it shows your highest weight at 330+ and current weight at 210. How did you lose over a 100lbs the first time? I am assuming eating well and exercise which is what is required for the band. It is just a great tool to help you continue on the same lines that it seems like you were headed on. Also, do you have comorbidities because I would not have qualified at 210.
  14. It was because I had heartburn and similiar issues for all of those years that I was approved for surgery! Relax and hang in there!
  15. Go with liquids, let the irritation in your band go down! I would give it atleast one full day!
  16. That is the same, i quit 4 months before surgery and then started again about 3 months after being banded. I know very dumb thing to do but I did and regret it everyday. I also LOVE to smoke during certain things, such as driving or being out with friends. I plan to stop on January 10th (or atleast attempt to) but we will see how it goes. Like you said one step at a time! bst of luck to you!
  17. If I am craving something sweet, I buy a bag of chocolate chips and eat one at a time until the craving is gone. I know it sounds stupid but when I eat a handful and put my hands to my mouth 15 different times(I eat one chip at a time) I really feel like I am REALLY treating myself and its usually about a 120 calories....craving gone:)
  18. Haha you are like the gazillionth person to ask this question. (myself included)! My doc says its normal and because so many other people have questions about it I am assuming we are not the only ones! :smile2:
  19. I was the last surgery of the day. I had my surgery at 4pm on a Wednesday and got out of the hospital at 2pm the next day. I was on a 10lb restriction for 6 weeks
  20. I can both see and feel my port. However, there is a lower profile port that they can put in so it is less visible to the eye.
  21. I had to stay overnight and I couldn't have imagined comming home that day. I was so sick it was ridiculous, I needed help out of bed, to the bathroom or just to roll over. I think I had a really bad experience compared to most others though.
  22. I opt for both before and after. Small amount of protein before and small amount after. I would say about 100 calories total between the two.
  23. It is VERY normal. It is the hell period before your first fill. It was almost 8 weeks before I had my first fill. This surgery isn't an overnight fix it. It takes time and patience as frustrating as it may be. Hang in there.
