  1. I ate wendy's chili today..... 10 days post op. I chewed and chewed. IT went down fine..... I guess I am a cheater too. However, I have not been hungry at all until the past two days.............. I will try to stick to liquids only for the next 7 days.......... Who knows?
  2. there does not have to be enough for malpractice, however, you do have punitive damages...... loss work, another surgery cost and mental cost. However, you will only have a case if you have the surgery and it is fixed and your problems go away..... then GO GET HIM.
  3. I know a great malpractice attorney.
  4. the gas is normal with every abdominal surgery.... I don't think it has ANYTHING TO DO WITH WHAT YOU EAT! Lisa, RN Banded June 21,2006 -21 pounds.
  5. First of all, You need a pre paid legal plan. well worth $17 a month. I use mine all the time for this kind of crap. I would sick my attorney on him so fast.............In the second place, as a RN for 15 years, I can tell you honestly the reason that I left nursing and changed careers was because of ass holes like him.
  6. Typically the reason a problem arises in surgery is due to anesthesia problems. The surgeon is NOT the one who needs to be skilled in that case...... In that case, you better go to every person that touches you on surgery day and grill them about when and where they got their degrees and how many times they have done this surgery. YOU HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT.
  7. I had a breast reduction 5 years ago. I had 6 pounds removed. It was the 2nd best thing I have ever done for myself. It is painful, but I only took tylenol. IT is amazing but Tylenol works well for incisional pain.... TRUST ME. I was back at work in 5 days. I LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT. You will too. Your doctor knows what to do he will do exactly as you want and insurance will still pay....... don't worry.
  8. If your doctor insists that you have one ask for it to be done after you are asleep in the OR. There is absolutely no reason for any one to have a catheter with this surgery. IT is usually outpatient and you are up in a few hours and on your way home. I do not understand people staying overnight unless they have complications. They are not working any where near low abdominals which would be the only reason to use a catherter in the first place.
  9. Make friends with the case manager. I did and was approved in a day. Make them your friend and then ask exactly what you have to do to appel and get approved. Sounds like you just need a few sickensses, I am sure that you have them .Co-mobidities do help..... pain, high blood pressure, snoring, sleep apnea, ect..... Good luck girl. I was scared t odeath but got approved very easily. I thank God for it everyday............
  10. Saul, Good for you! You deserve the best and so does your wife. I certainly did not intend to be a basher........ I do think that you being honest about what is happening is a good thing. You were needing advice and you got it! Good for you for acting on it!! Good luck. Keep us posted.
  11. Thanks for the WOW. I sent you a PM. I almost used Dr. Renhke..... I live in South St. Pete...... I would like to talk. I was banded last week by Dr. Jawad in Ocala. My daughter just graduated from Northside Chrs. with Dr. Rehnke's daughter.
  12. Saul, Don't let this happen to you. All that glitters is not gold...... IF you are a christian, ask God to help you and then find a Christian counselor. If you are not a Christain, GO GET A counselor.... I think that you are feeling what is perfectly normal. I would not even talk to a man who would not talk to me when I was fat..... I would not talk to your wife about any healthy eating or exercising. Reach out to her and show her you still love her after 22 years........ I would rather have a fat husband than a cheating husband. Good Luck!

bendryl works very well. I take it when I travel.

I love the sex Idea... IT does work. IF I wake up in the middle of the night, I wake him up and in 10 minutes we are back to sound sleep. Good idea!
  15. Funny: I did the same thing. I was beginning to think that I had a brain tumor. I even had a cat scan... I was having headaches too. I am typing my words backwards, you know getting the (ltetters confuesd.) Of course I have been having 600 calories a day for a couple fo (that one was for real)weeks.... Could be no brain food...... Good luck ....
  16. I totally understand why she would not tell the truth. First of all, I don't like or dislike her. I have no opinion personally about her. However, as a public figure myself, I can only imagine if she came out and talked about it, People would flock to get it done and what would happen if they had complications or it did not work for them.? People are crazy. IT is a big responsibility to be famous and have people follow you. She did make the comment. " I did have a medical procedure not the bypass." I still had to diet and exercise." How much more does she have to say??
  17. Barbara.... welcome to my world. LEFT SHOULDER PAIN IS terrible EVERYTIME I EAT.( drink) My doctor said that it was nerve pain but the diaphram. NOT gas pain. He said it should go away in a couple of weeks. Otherside I feel like a millions bucks........ I dread drinking because It starts to hurt... OH well.
  18. Thanks for the encouragemnt. The doctor was shocked at my weight loss. 21 pounds. My port is about my belly button. One week post op TODAY!!!
  19. Have you ever met anyone that had a open? band? let's start a poll about preop diet and those who did not follow it. I will bet that we can't find one person. IT will be interesting
  20. Here Here. The head hunger is bad. I have just decided that I don't like food anymore. I wake up in the morning felling like a million bucks. As soon as I start putting liguids in my mouth, I feel like crap....... MY body is hating anything in it right now.....
  21. Lana, High protien and low carbs will shrink your liver. The liver lays on top of the stomach therefore making the surgery easier if the liver is smaller. Make sense? However, those sugar free popsicles and jellos are fine. I think that you can fudge with anything CARBLESS.... even pork rinds. If you like those. They have to make sure that you are not BUFFETING 2 weeks before surgery. That is the reason they are so strict. I did eat steak, crablegs and other high protiens. However, I stayed away from carbs. I was fine. They will not decide not to do the surgery. That would cost them MONEY! Do the best you can and don't worry about it .
  22. Congrats all June bandsters. I joined the elite group on June 21st. Feeling great lost 19 pounds.
  23. You will do fine. I feel great and I was banded last wednesday. I thought the surgery was the easiest thing I have ever done. (surgery wise). tiny sips...... i drank too much too fast the first few days and I madethe gas pains worse. I have learned...... Good luck. Banded June 21, 2006 -19 pounds
  24. I drove 48 hours later a 40 mile on way trip a did fine. you will be okay. good luck banded June 21, 2006
  25. I will say again. I have been an RN for 15 years. You will be fine........ Go ahead as planned. Quit reading this thread.......... Too much confusing info..... email me privately and we can talk over the phone..... Okay??
