Hey Step, Hang in there. Not much longer to go and you'll be eating some real food. As people below have said, the hunger should start subsiding once you start getting your fills. Hi there everyone, Yep, my doctor has given similar instruction to my partner who was banded yesterday. Walking is fine - he suggested walking 5 mins the first day, increasing by 5 minutes per day until you get to 30mins/day and then continuing with that as a minimum (he suggested a target 10,000 steps/day). As per BrockBabe's advice, he also advised no heavy lifting for 6 weeks. Hi Steph, Congrats on your date. I soooo can relate to your reasons for making the decision to go ahead with the band. At almost 300lb, I'm uncomfortable in lots of places. Too funny!! Wish I could be a fly on the wall to see that! Have told everyone in the family and my friends and just a couple of people at work (but am a little scared that they'll tell those that I don't want to know).

I made up jello (I used raspberry) and before setting it added a tub of fat-free yoghurt (I used vanilla bean). I made this up for us to have during the pre-op diet phase when we need something to hit the sugar craving (and it does hit that spot!). I think it will also be ok post op after the first day or two of clear liquids.

Hey BG, Don't know where you manage to find all those fanastic pics through your blog but I looove 'em. Your comments totally quack (trying to keep the easter animal theme going) me up! I totally agree with the sentiment that its great to have a group at the same stage of the process as you and I'm especially glad you're in our group. Cheers!
