  1. Hey! I had my first 2 cc fill yesteday too! My doc does 2 at a time. I have an 8 cc band. I am on liquids today and tomorrow then soft foods for 3 days, then working in regular food. I can tell a difference in my ability to swallow already! I took 4 huge gulps of diet green tea this morning and it hurt! I am going to have to learn no more chugging and do slow, small drinks! Bad habits are hard to break! I go back in the early part of July for my next fill. So far so good. AND... my fill was PAIN Free! I had heard some horror stories about fills and I had no pain at all! I know everyone is different though! :ihih:
  2. Hey all!! I was banded 4/29! It was a great success! I have had NO pain (took tylenol just in case my first 2 days home and have had nothing since!) and had little problems with gases. I started back at work today. I feel really good. I am on shakes and liquids for the next 12 days and I am STRUGGLING! I am truly hungry every 2 hours after I have a shake. I my nutritionist says I should have a shake every 3-4 hours. Literally, I am sitting here starving with a growling belly. No matter how much Crystal Light I sip, it still growls. I have sent an email asking my nutritionist what I can do. I just don't think I have the proper constriction to have a shake ever 4 hours. I never thought I would look forward to the day that I could have tomato soup! I love this site and all the support!! You guys are the best!
  3. Hello all! I am a newbie! I am getting banded on 4/30. I am nervous, anxious, excited...so many things. I have been prepping for 6 months and learning all I can about the process. I have logged on here before and read tons of posts and it has been very helpful. I am probably doing something many of you have.... I am not telling many people. Right now the only people that know are my Mom and 3 friends. I am just keeping it really close to the chest if you know what I mean. I will tell others when I think the time is right. Everyone just has their own preconceived notions on weight loss surgery. The bottom line is... I am doing this for me. For my health. For my longevity. Not for anyone else. I am single and 26 years young. I am nearly 300 pounds. I want to see 85 like my Grand-father. I want to fit in seats at civic centers. I want to carry in my groceries and not get winded. I want to be able to play with my dog and not have sore legs the next day. In other words... I want to be normal and helathy. I am not meant to be 120 pounds and I don't want to be. I want to use the band as a tool to help me live a longer, healthier life. SO! Here I am! Ready to face the challenges ahead in the coming weeks!
