Rachel Ray is an idiot
Oh I'm such a two faced person.... Who hasn't made themselves or someone else try to feel better with food? I don't blame RR for saying what she said, I just don't like you see her olive oil in the store, you see her face on the wheat thins box, she shilling for Dunkin' Donuts, so I learned flipping through a mag... Truth be told if I were offered the same shot as she was I'd try to milk it for every penny. I'm just tired of her.

IMHO The hardest part of being banded.
Susan we are soul mates. Or lunch mates. I feel so bad too because I have a summer of lunches planned with two coworkers. Everyday it's planned that one of us makes or brings in lunch for the other two. Today was aspargus phyllo wraps and salad. It was delicious but I could only eat half of one and a few bites of salad. (I just got an aggressive fill...) I don't want to back out from the meals but I also don't want to apologize all the time. But they are good friends and know about the band. They love me.

I turned. I loved her at first then I just couldn't stand her EVERYWHERE. I own a few of her cookbooks even...

if only you could find her in small doses. Her face is everywhere.

I wonder who she's slept with to get herself all over the place. I mean the word ubiquitous describes her freaking face plastered all over the place. Ugh.

Marchies- JULY Independence
Hi Marchies~ We are 16 months out from being banded, all of us inching closer to goal. Please check in as often as you can to see how your anniversary mates are progressing to offer support and encouragement, or to get a little TLC if you need it. We are all banded together, after all.

Traci, You look really pretty in your avatar. What amazing cheekbones! Stacy, A 10 minute mile is pretty quick. Don't be so hard on yourself.

IMHO The hardest part of being banded.
The hardest part of being banded for me is the socializing and eating business. I want to be mindful of how I eat, but I don't want to be scrutinized...it's a catch. I also don't want to get caught up in the conversation and take huge bites. Oh, and heavens if the host made something with skins (cucumber, tomato, grapes) and I have to hack it up... I want to eat by myself.

Except when you have a sliming episode. Then they are in overdrive!!!

Mt. Carmel, Ohio, Dr. Patricia Choban
Hi, I'm an OSU banded person. I know what you mean about selling the bypass. I was annoyed with them too, but felt deeply that I wanted the band or nothing. I have to say once that was established there was no talk of the bypass again. My surgeon is fantastic, and his staff is good too. I'm just putting that out there incase your insurance limits you to whom you can choose. OSU really did and continues to do very well by me and if you must reconsider using them know that they have a satisfied patient out there.

LBT more than a year later
I love this site. It's been well over a year since I got started on here. I know my avatar says I've been on for ages but I didn't really start hanging around until after I was banded. Well, I think this site is fantastic. There are pages and pages of stuff I never read, but low and behold something new pops up and 20 minutes later reading everyones experiences and I have a better understanding about what I can expect. Specifically? I just got a fill today. I was on the fence about getting it, I'm very close to my sweet spot. Anyway, I feel pretty confident that I can ride this out a few days if I stick to my beginning bandster rules. I read a few threads that agree with that and some other things to be mindful of and I'm just relieved. Thanks so much for all the support. It's appreciated.

HP Girl, you look great!!!! You have got to be feeling amazing! D I have white grip tape on my bike. (had a silver seat which is not a bontrager, that I love). Windex the tape when it gets dirty. It will whiten it up again. BG So you didn't get that new seat before the 250 miles? Plans to get one anytime soon? Again, Traci, you look really fantastic.

Just for Laughs
There are times I miss the simplicity of shopping for clothing. There were two stores, with only a few styles I would wear and in fewer colors I'd put on. So it was easy. (BUT not FUN). Now I'm forever trying things on and I can't decide X or Y or Z or A...it gets a little frutstrating. But it can be fun trying if I'm not in a hurry.

I'm new & could use some help...
You might need to adjust when you eat if you are super tight with your next fill. I can't eat before 10am (and I get up at 6) and I can't eat after 7pm if I don't want reflux in the night. I'm still like that now for the most part, but I can eat ENTIRE sandwiches with chips on the side now, so I'm thinking a slight fill might be in order. I used to never wear my band tightly, but right now I feel the need. I don't know just to change it up. Perhaps you do too?

BG Girl you are on FIRE. HP find those shots! And thanks for the compliment, BTW. I'm sure your changes are just as dramatic, looking at your ticker!

OMG, I started running again this past week, (okay, one day) because you shamed me. And really it has to happen. Yeah the Simmonses need to have a royal ass whippin'. I know we'll get all caught up this week, but quickly, here, are we still shooting for CP on Saturday?

My house is a mess. That would be kid art hung behind me and nearly under my feet. What does one do with all the art, all the time? I feel bad, but I throw a lot of it away.

D What fantastic pictures!!! You look MARV-A-LICIOUS! BG got the only other t-shirt. The rest got ruined! BG, I knew the food pic was for me. Very funny. I laughed out loud, indeed. I could probably eat that whole plate of food today. And yes, I'm scheduled for a fill on Monday. I'm loving all the pictures gals. Keep them coming!- Has anyone taken up Bycyling?
D, That looks like a bump to me. We got us some real hills in southern Ohio. - Has anyone taken up Bycyling?
