  1. I absolutely ditto that thought.

  3. That's what I'm talking about.......I've not walked into a video store in a million years. Netflix rocks. you do get the US postal service there, don't you D?
  4. This is D's first.......... My only comment is, There are still video stores where you live???
  5. How soon do you think? Shall we let it come naturally? I have to go run and don't want to...but I will. Oh crap! I left my iPod at home.
  6. MapMyRide.com - Map your Cycling and Mountain Biking Routes. Topo Maps, Elevation Profiles, GPS Support. Don't forget this fun site for ride mapping.
  7. Yeah the sweat that collects under there is worse than the sound it makes. Try doing jumping squats in a room full of skinny women with the slap slap of the stomach on the thighs--always a good time.
  8. I've taken to wearing lined shorts ontop of my panties. They help some. Really it's just annoying to have the Pannus in the way, but it's there and I can't change it... The friends' well wishes are nice. Awesome...it's a great attitude boost.
  9. I'm an exerciser. I ran out of excuses not to exercise a few months before I was banded. And really I'm not here to pee on anyone's parade, but you'll be more healthy, not just weigh less if you exercise. Oh, I'm a single mom, work full-time and am in school full-time. I know about being busy...it's just part of what I do. And yeah, I get to eat more because I exercise, which is pretty awesome by my standards.
  10. As in some sourdough I made, sliced and baked with buttery garlic stuff on it. It was my only no-no yesterday, which is saying something. I probably was under 1200 with the bread. The swimsuit trial gave me and epiphany about this body stuff. I know that it’s not going to be perfect, not even with plastic surgery, so I’ve been strutting around thinking I’m looking good. Well as good as it's going to get...but that's a lie. And it's given me the go ahead not to finish this game. I’ve been functioning like here is good. But here isn’t good enough. The game isn’t won. I’m not finished. It helped me get my head back into yesterday. Today I’m going to be back on track again. I figure if I take it one day at a time, one meal at a time, one decision at a time and remember I’m shooting for the big pay off… It’s like I lost sight of my goal because I’ve gotten closer than I ever thought I would. It would be like quitting school right now since my I’ll be getting my BS in a few weeks. I’ve been working on my MBA, and I know I’m smart enough for grad school so I should stop. Where’s the goal attainment in that? Just do it, to quote Nike. I know I can lose weight; I just need to do it. I want to see 150 by January.
  11. keep the girls under control
  12. I'm saving to pay for the plastic surgery. One of my tattoos is going to be cut away with the skin if I'm lucky....it's on my hip, or so it was, now it's on my pannus (stomach flap). The only ones that might be effected will be your shoulder tats, but worry about how they'll look on your taught musuclar back...
  13. BTW, the GF has me convinced that my newly vein popping hands are happening due to my old age, not my weight loss. How not very nice is that?!
  14. Smells like peanut butter and chocolate! (Buckeye candy). I'll stop. Okay, I had a great day with food until dinner. I ate two pieces of garlic bread. TWO! How the heck did those go down?! Now I'm going to crave carbs all over again. Damn it, damn it, damn it!!! Oh so the simmones sisters just don't have the where with all to pull it off? We'll we'll look hotter with our costumes than we would have with their idea...But not nearly as funny. I ran today too. I kept my butt on the treadmill eventhough I didn't want to...I'm walking 2 minutes, running 8 minutes, three times to make my 30 minutes. I'll shoot for getting outside tomorrow, earlier in the day. It was HOT here today.
  15. oh that's right you have to ORDER from Performance...you can't just walk in the store, like me in Columbus, which is in Ohio, you know the home of The Ohio State Buckeyes, you've heard of them, right? You know the football team, yeah, college team, they're rivals of that school in Ann Arbor Michigan something. Yeah I'm totally into Performance. I heart Stewie.
  16. TWO I want to be a size 2. There I said it. I'm 5' 2" tall. Actually I probably want to be a size 6. I'm trying to figure out where that might fall on the scale. Because I'm 5'2" weigh about 185 and I'm a size 16. When is was around age 16 I wore a size 16 but I weighed 155. At 155 now I should be a 12 or 10. How does that happen? With all the extra skin I thought I'd weigh less to be the same size. I'm muscular like never before, perhaps that's the difference. Or they are making sizes bigger these days. I dunno.... We'll see where I am this time next year. Hopefully recovering from PS...
  17. PB's are horrible and kind of fun to talk about after the fact. Like never in a million years would I think I'd be telling people about how I threw up on the airplane because I ate too fast. But I did and you do and you'll have even more stories to share, I'm guessing. So what's the lesson? Not to allow yourself to get that hungry or to control your bites? I know lunch meat gets me most of the time...maybe Arby's does the same. Peace
  18. Hi Meg. I'm in Columbus. I'll be happy to help you out, coach/mentor you as you move forward. Hit me up with some specific questions and concerns you have. Tell me your plans for getting the weight off. What goals have you set for youself? Hope to hear from you. Juli
  19. 5 pair? Go on with your bad self. It's only money and we need to get our joy where ever we can. I've cried as I've given away my shoes from when I was heavier...but alas, that just means I need to get new ones! I've learned some self control when it comes to buying clothing, I buy only what I need now, but when I get to goal, watch out! I want to drop REAL money on clothing...you know the $400 coats, $100 pants, that kind of thing...
  20. I love that HP and D have teamed up to stoke each other's goals. I love watching you two talk it up! D, don't worry about what other people think about your size. He's just a dork. You seem like the type to call someone on not being very sensitive. I hope he felt like a heel or that heal? You know what I mean... On the same thought as not being as far advanced with the weight loss, etc. I went swimsuit shopping yesterday. Yeah, not pretty. This girl needs a skirt to cover the hanging apron and the droppy inner thighs. No one told me the inner thighs would drape like curtains being tied back. I tried to rejoice that I'm wearing a size 16 and I'm not buying the matronly suits. Bikinis have long since been too young for me, but woo hoo, I was buying the ones at the back of the rack behind the 8, 10, 12, 14, 16....and I tried on some 14's and they got on my body but weren't right. What a wierd head-space to be in, like Yee HAW I'm a 16! But damn, it's not all that pretty.
  21. BG, So that means you ARE riding to work daily? That's so impressive.
  22. Mary, My niece is getting married that day, and I'm graduating with my BS the day after, so maybe next time. Looks like you and Traci (HP) live close to each other. Well in LBT terms less than 3 hours is close. BG and I live 3 hours apart and tend to get together every few weeks. You are right about people needing to start somewhere. I remember when less than 5 miles was a struggle. BG, That's tragic. Who was drunk, the cyclist or the driver? I'm so sorry for their families.
  23. Seebs, I've waited 4 weeks before and it's never any fun. I'm of the mindset that I make appointments every few months and if I don't need a fill I'll cancel a few days before. Not that that will work for you now, but make another one for a few months out when you get your fill so you have it in the bank, so to speak. You can always cancel. Maybe some poor soul will be able to grab that appointment slot last minute too. You know what I mean???
  24. ZZZ That's not a fun way to learn a lesson. But at least you now know you need to eat. All you new folks, WELCOME! Hey Kentucy, Where are you at? I rode in Lexington this Spring at the Horsey 100. It was beautiful and hilly and beautiful. I'm in Ohio in Columbus. D, You're on fire as ususal. HP, You're so inspriring. My ride yesterday got shortened, as I was one of the ride coordinators and someone had an asthema attack so a few us rode back with her to the starting point. I got 19 miles, the other riders who didn't cut it short got 30. I'm a little jealous but felt obligated... BG, Deloris, the hybrid bike is ready to be ridden and on her way to Michigan today. Alison will bring it to the MB. That's only 2 weeks from today........I'M SO EXCITED!!!! Over and Out.
  25. I've raised my legs, put a pillow under the small of my back, I've stood against the wall....I'd do a freaking hand stand if they'd get me on the first try. My first time wasn't successful so I did flouro twice after that. I got brave for the last two, but still it's the doctor only and forever, always.
