    April 2006 I was 341 June 21st I was 337 July 5th I was 322.5 Today I am 258.4! I have lost 82.6 lbs!!! I used to wear a 4 X top and 26/28 pants (both filled quite a lot). I am now in 2X tops and 24 pants that zip up like real people pants and 18/20 (2X) in the pull up elastic waist kind. I still need my CPAP, but I know I'll be rid of it someday...
  8. My first goal is to just get under 200...then to 150...after that, anything is a bonus. I just want to feel good again. I remember my size 9 Lee Riders were my favorite jeans in high school, but I'd settle for a size 12!
  9. It's like watching the pot to see it boil...it takes FOREVER!!
  10. Update to my Christmas goal...I'm at 258.4...7.6 lbs to go to my goal of 250!
  11. Congrats on making your goal, Libra!! Mariquita - it's one of the best feelings ever! I have in my siggy that I'll never have to say 300 again! You go girl!!! Keep us posted!
  12. I tell them I had the lap band surgery, too. Everyone at work knows I had it and they are all very supportive. There are now 4 people banded who work at the school I work at - 1 before me and 2 since me. I'm mentoring the two that went after me. I've had the same experience as Carlene. It's a wonderful thing!
  13. I have a VG band that holds 10cc's and I am at 8cc's right now. It's pretty tight, especially in the morning. I'm thinking this is a good restriction for me right now.
  14. I have a Slim Fast Shake with added protein powder for breakfast...4 heaping teaspoons of cottage cheese and a snack cup of diced peaches for lunch (typically) and about 1 cup of food if I eat a regular dinner. I eat string cheese if I want a snack. I eat chicken, fish, steak, hamburger, ham, or turkey for dinner with a veggie. I love my shakes and make them in my Magic Bullet...if I'm home alone for dinner, I'll have a shake then, too.
  15. Welcome to LBT! My experience has been absolutely text book - good luck to you!
  16. I have chosen to not give it a try...I don't want to take the chance of it getting stuck. I love to smell it, though!!
  17. I am sure we were all nervous as our surgery times grew nearer...however, once you have it done you'll wonder what you were afraid of. It was and is the best thing I've ever done for myself and I am thankful daily for this tool...you'll do great and we'll all be here for you. Keep us posted and good luck!
  18. I was thinking the same thing this morning. I'm pretty tight, so I won't be eating much and I'm okay with that. I, too, am so thankful for this online community...you've been very instrumental in my journey thus far. Happ Thanksgiving everyone!
  19. Mine does it completely by feel - I get ladicain to numb the area first, though...I figure if it's the worst I have to go through for these results, I'm fine with it. I think they use the flouro as a last resort at my clinic.
  20. Go for it, Chris! What a great opportunity to talk about what a positive thing this was for you! And the exposure for you may lead to other things :eek: I'm so proud of you! Congrats on all of your success! And a July Bandster to boot!!
  21. OMG Sherri! I hope you are doing better today! I knew someone who had stones once and I remember her saying how extremely painful it was. Please take care of yourself and take it easy...take care of you! {{{HUGS}}}
  22. 1) My place of employment - it's my saving grace...my support and encouragement comes from my co-workers - and my DH and DS 2) My Slim Fast shakes in my Magic Bullet 3) The Internet - LBT and Memory Creators (scrapbooking community) 4) Scrapbooking or something related to the hobby 5) Dasani water
  23. Maybe you'll find a date when you get to the party??!!!! Walk in with confidence - you'll look fabulous!
  24. I just had my 4th fill...my first one was 3cc's and I felt restriction for only the first week...then a month later I got 2.5cc's and still wasn't satisfied with the restriction. A month later I got 1.5 more and felt pretty good restriction at 7cc's. I just got one more cc on last Friday and I'm feeling really restricted now... and I like it that way. Every person's different. I don't eat a lot, though. It depends on how big your band is to begin with, too. Mine holds 10cc's where others only hold 4. Talk with your doctor.
