How much did you gain??
Hey ladies, I'm 13 weeks pregnant and thankfully haven't gained anything but instead I have gained a umbilical hernia which totally sucks. Hopefully my weight gain will continue at a minimum. I know wishful thinking. Good luck everyone.

Better Day
Wow you can really see a difference. Don't get discouraged. You are doing wonderful. You definately need to take pictures more often. That is the only way I saw that I lost weight. The mirror played tricks on me but the camera doesn't lie. Keep up the good work.

Pregnant and Banded...come join me!
Thanks Ziahmama for your concern. I don't plan to exercise as hard as I was prior to the pregnancy but I do plan to keep walking a few miles a day. Hopefully that will delay any weight gain. The doctor said to try to gain a minimal amount of weight because I am still overweight and the baby will get what it needs. I am soooo tired right now. I had an ultrasound yesterday and I am 6 weeks and 2 days pregnant my baby is due Aug. 2nd, 2010. Good luck to all the pregnant ladies out there.:rolleyes2:

Pregnant and Banded...come join me!
Hey there everyone, I was banded 11-19-08 and have lost 115 lbs so far with 70 lbs. to go. Found out one day after my one year bandiversary that I am pregnant. I'm a little nervous about regaining any of the 115 lbs. My plan is to continue dieting and exercising. I am about 5 weeks pregnant and see the OBGYN on Thursday. Wish me luck on not gaining too much.

First Cruise since the Band~~~~Got to get ready! Mentally!
I too am heading on a cruise to the Bahamas this week. I too am nervous about the eating aspect. I am one year out from surgery and have lost 115 lbs. I also found out I am pregnant this week so all the fears of gaining the weight back is on my mind constantly. I guess all the calories from the margarita's I had planned on taking in won't be happening so I probably will not gain what I thought I might. Good luck with your cruise I hope you come back 10 lbs. lighter.

Less then 24 hrs to band

Hard to believe it's been a year (and what a year)!!!
Well today is my one year bandiversary. It seems very hard to believe that a whole year has already passed. I've had some ups and downs and some slow months losing but overall I am happy with my success. I have lost 115 lbs. so far with another 70 to go., but the good news is I know I will get there. To all that are now going through what I did one year ago, Good Luck on your journey, there are some days that are better than others but always keep your eye on the prize. You don't have to be perfect everyday to see results. If you fall off the wagon get right back on. Thanks to all on this site who give the much needed support to everyone. You guys are ROCK!!!!

sports bra for "well-endowed" women?
I also use the ENELL sports bra. Very, very good quality and very good support. Don't waste your money on one's found in store. I have tried them all and they dont hold you down.:cursing:

weight lost slowing down
Keep doing what you are supposed to do and it will eventually come off. I had times that I lost and gained the same 3-5 lbs for over a month. I tend to plateau every 10 lbs for a few weeks but I keep doing what I am supposed to don't get me wrong I slip up now and again but for the most part I work on myself daily. I started at 333 so I know that the goal seems so far away but you can do it and it won't take that long for the ball to get some momentum. Don't give up. Your hair will stop falling out eventually, I think it goes through stages. Mine was falling out to beat the band but has slowed down alot. I'm lucky to have a head full of hair. Since November 19th I have lost 113 lbs. and now weigh 220. It feels so good that I can't wait to get to my goal. Good luck to you and don't get down on yourself your doing great and the photos are amazing.

Oh gosh still cheating on pre op.
I don't think two bites here and there are going to derail your surgery. I have read on here many people who have cheated on the pre-op and were not crucified by others. I think you will do fine. I was not required to do the pre-op liquid diet, just liquids the day before surg. I was 333 lbs on surgery day and now 10 1/2 months later down 110 lbs all post op. Don't let them set you up for failure. You can do it and I believe in you. Good luck

How many cc's did it take to get the optimum restriction?
I've had 4 fills. I think I have about 8 cc in 10cc band and have great restriction but up till fill #3 none. Good luck hope you get there soon!

Need some help and advice, quick!
Remember those are only averages. I had surgery 11-19-08 at 333 and now 10 1/2 months later have lost 108 lbs. down to 225. Good luck you will make the best decision for you.

Cancer strikes again....
Jen- I feel like I'm reading a blog I could have wrote. In May 2007 I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma, 3 days later my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer with metastasis to her liver and bone. We both underwent chemo and radiation, hers being much worse than mine. My cancer is in remission right now and my mom's cancer has been stable since January 2009. Then unfortunately a few weeks ago my brother was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma also and is now undergoing treatment. Keep positive there is still much hope. My prayers are with you and your family.
