I have a couple of takes on this. First of all after 6 months you probably do need some fill and even as little as .1 not 1 cc but .1 can make a huge difference. I would just inch my way back up very slowly and that way you wouldn't get to tight.

Yep, My surgeon says the same thing. 80 grams of protein a day. It's so hard for me to get in unless I use the unjury protein powders.

My husband starting taking phentermine the week I got banded and 9 months later I've lost only 60 pounds but 60 inches as well and he's lost 60 pounds. I have paid almost 15000.00 and he's paid 60 per month, he orders them off the internet. But, I bet I don't gain mine back, lol.

I did have my measurements taken at the doc's and I've lost about 60 pounds and almost 60 inches so maybe it's just inches for a while. I'm really restricted though and that fills great. I bet Dr. Agotee is the only one in Paducah I can think of, but I'm not sure about Mexican patients, maybe they will chime back in. I had surgery in Mexico too and there are 4 of us from Paducah that drive to Dr. Curry, who is absolutely fabulous and fills are 150.00. If you will go to his website and go to forums there is a place where we do rideshares and I'm sure if you can't find anyone here you could ride with one of us. Good luck.

Just go to www.tickerfactory.com just like your going to start another one. It doesn't ask you to log in until the end. I don't have any wisdom I just wanted to say I'm thinking about you and praying things get better for you and that your band is fine. I am not having those problems but I'm having more stress than I've ever had in my life and my weightloss has stalled. I can't eat very well until after about 2:00 pm and I have 3cc's in a 4cc's band. Try to keep your chin up and I'm self pay and I know what you mean. So far I've been out over 17000.00 including fills out of pocket and now that I'm stalled my husband is on my azz big time, so I know what you mean. Pm me if you need to talk.

I can always gulp my water after a fill and in fact they have me drink 2 glasses very fast but I just had my 6th or 7th fill last week and I can't gulp now and I'm very restricted. So, I would say when you do get good restriction you can't gulp as fast as before. Hope this helps some.

I know Dr. Curry would help you, he's in Cinci. I went to Mexico 8months ago but everything so far has went great. I sure hope you all get to feeling better soon. I couldn't have ask for any better care than there and then I had already set up after care here.

I started a thread, I'll find it and post it here back in July, actually it was a poll on this very thing. I had Dr. Sanchez and Dr. Zapata. They were wonderful. They've each done over 7000 surgeries now, less than 1 percent complications rate and never lost a patient. They don't use a clinic, they use a full scale hospital, with full trauma unit, Santa Agracias in Monterrey Mexico, the same place our dignitaries go if in need while there. It was 8500.00 for everything and fills for life. They included preop, hospital, doctors fees, private room with balcony overlooking mountains, food while you were there and all your transportation. They were doing it for 7500.00 next month I believe. 3 of us went the same day and done wonderful and I've sent 13 people since, none with any problems. I can't eat any fast food at all. I mean no McDonald's whatsoever. It get's stuck every single time so I don't even try anymore.

I agree. Once I went in for a slight unfill after a week and then 3 weeks later needed another fill. I had a fill 2 weeks ago and I'm tight right now but it will relax.

So sorry you had such rotten luck. I and Funny and another girl went the same day and had a wonderful experience and I've sent 13 people since and all with no problems. I think the doc has a whole lot to do with it. Hope your doing better soon. The first thing I done after finding a surgeon who'd done thousand's in Mexico was find a doctor here who would take care of me the min. I got home and Dr. Curry has done that.

So sorry about all you've went through but am glad your on your way back to recovery and than your still determined to not let the weight win. You go. I've always worried about that sort of thing happening. Do they know what causes it. Is it too much fill, not enough fill or just luck of the draw. I have the mini lowprofile band that holds 4cc's and just got a fill of .3 now I have 3 cc's and can't hardly eat any food yet.

I had Anthem BC/BS and they just wanted to much from me as far as 6 months supervised diet, testing, time comsumption and I was just too impatient and went to Mexico and self paid.

I had no pain to speak of either. Very little gas but walking took care of that. Just stiffness.

I admire your worrying about her and for her but I agree with everyone else. I had more problems and pain from my root canal than my banding and for me I'm so tight right now it's physically impossible to yoyo diet. It just won't go down. She'll loose the weight but her heart will still be the same for you and she'll so appreciate all your doing for her. Just be there for her and she'll be just fine.

Way to go Pat yourself of the back because we all know how hard even with the band it is. Some people think just because your banded the weight just falls off by itself. I'm so proud of you and for you and just think what memories you made.
