Huge NSV at an amusement park

Hi Guys,

I wanted to share a huge NSV for me today. I spent the day with my 14 year old son at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. We had a wonderful time. I was able to ride on all the rides with him. This has been a long journey for me. I'm down 78 lbs from my high 2 years ago. And while I was just banded last June and I'm down 52 lbs I really would like to lose another 50 this year. Its been really hard on me and I just pray I can continue to grow in this journey. I started to exercise again this week in the hopes of continuing to lose the weight. I know how you all feel when I tell you how much it means to me to no longer use a seat belt extender, walk 2 on a treadmill or not be able to ride an amusement park ride. I can honestly say I am happy to report I can do all 3 now.

Yay!! Did you ride the big dipper? I have fond memories from childhood....

Congrats on a great NSV!

Keep up the good work.

:]

what a great experience, first trip to Disneyland since WLS and not one snicker, like"hey fat lady your not gonna fit" didnt even realize it until read your post. mmm feelin good now!

THANKS

Way to go

Pat yourself of the back because we all know how hard even with the band it is. Some people think just because your banded the weight just falls off by itself. I'm so proud of you and for you and just think what memories you made.

Rene, yes the Big Dipper was the second ride we went on. I have to tell you. I was nervous going into each ride thinking I wouldn't fit but I did! Julie

That's awesome. You are doing great and you deserve it!!!! I have only been around here for a short time but I can tell you are a very sweet and warm hearted person. I wish you success beyond what you can dare to imagine!!!

I'm still not banded, hopfully 4/20. But this is one of the reasons I want to git fit. I have a 8 yr old son and 3 yr old Girl. And the last time Me and My wife went to an amusment park. I was way bigger than the last time, and could not ride some of the rides. I was so sad for my 8 yr old he had to ride by himself. And I wanted to hide. Oh the shame.

Congrats!!!! Aren't those unexpected NSV's wonderful?!??!?!?! Enjoy every moment of them....you deserve it!

What a great NSV! I've been dying to go to the Lagoon Amusement Park but the rides always have this "If you weight too much your butt gets booted of in front of everyone" sign.. ok that's my wording but theirs has the same meaning. I can't wait til I can go on the rides!

Thank you Julie.

I just recived conformation on insurence today.

so if the Lord wills that I should do this, it will be next friday.

396power, that is fantastic news. What are your stats? How much do you want to lose? I'm considered an average loser at 1 lb a week. It really adds up though. I'm happy with my 52 lbs in 10 months. I'll take it. Best of luck. Julie

Well I weigh about 320 and would love to see 196 again.

6 years ago when I left the NAVY I weighed about 196. And gainded all this weight in 1 year.
