  1. My last post I talked about how hungry I was and I cheated. It was so weird, the next day I was fine and this weekend I forgot to eat some meals. I scheduled a fill for tomorrow, that is number two. But I am off my plateau and lost another 5 pound. Will update my ticker after I get my fill so I will have an official weight. I walked and worked in the yard all weekend, I have so much energy now. Each week it gets better. I cooked sea bass and that is very very good, I also had a steak Saturday night without issue. You can really eat good with the LB if you work at it. Hope everyone is doing great.

  3. OK Team, you have read enough on here to understand. Don't compare what you lose to everyone else, the point is your losing or at least not gaining. Our bodies are all unique so, me losing X does not equal you losing X. If you let yourself become discouraged then you will fall back into your same patterns of eating or at least using that as an excuse. It happens to all of us. I went a month without losing even gaining a little, then poof, 5 pounds gone. This will work and we all went though a lot to get to this point, start anew. Start eating what you know you should eat and exercise. We all knew from the get go that this was not a miracle way to lose weight and that we would have to work at it.

Last night I got really hungry, something that is not an issue to me so I went all out (I guess that is a matter of opinion) I had an extra protein shake, I know I know I shouldn't have, but I also added a banana and two table spoons of peanut butter and a table spoon on Nutella. Bad me I almost double my calories for the day in one shake. So today I made an appointment for my second fill.

  6. I have not posted in almost a week, but that is a good thing. I have been so busy. I am walking 2 miles at lunch and 5 miles each day on the weekend. I took a 5 pound weight to work and now do a routine while I am on those long calls. I also took an exercise band to work and have a routine for that as well. After work it is straight to the next project, I am getting so much done. I had a garage sale over th weekend and yard work and it just keeps getting better. The task I use to dread, I can do at a run. On Sunday I was at the park walking 5 miles at 6am, then did my shopping on the way home and came straight home to mow the yard. I could have never done that before I had the LB. I went to the Bonefish Grill on Saturday night and did not feel like people were watching to see how much I ate, then took most my meal home. I am on a routine on what I eat daily since food no longer consumes me, the same thing each day because I have placed so little importance on it. I still have a ways to go, or quiet a ways to go, but you can't believe how much better I feel. When I think about cheating, I just look in the mirror or get on the scales. When people look at me now it is not because I am so fat but because I am beginning to look good. Another point I should make is find a support group and go, Group keeps you encouraged. The support I have found on here is also great, fabby50 Bernadette is always there for my support. Try to do the same for others...

  8. Great job BigBossMan, all the issue you had at first must really seem worth it now. Keep going.
  9. Awesome job Coach, you continue to lead the pack of "Men of March". I still have a ways to go to reach "One"derland but I am on my way. You made a valid point you have to get your protein, period. If you don't you won't lose. The other point I would like to make for those reading about your great results is "exercise". This is not have the surgery and be thin. It takes work and dedication. But exercise won't be like it was before, you will want to exercise because you will have so much energy it needs to go somewhere and then you will begin to look forward to it and what else can you do but increase your workouts more and more and the results will occur. No setting on the couch drinking a shake is not exercise. I am walking two miles at lunch and 5 each day on the weekend, I am getting the to-do list done and looking for things to do. I took a ten pound weight to work and now on those long calls I do a routine. I have a exercise band at work and I do a routine with that as well. This from the guy who only exercise was laps around the buffet. If this not so fat old man can do it anyone can.

  12. Well, since Dr. OZ speaks on Oprah it must be true. So when I lose my 140 pounds I will gain 4 inches. Maybe I should have put on a few more pounds. That means when I lose my weight I will be ......
  13. OK Coach, give up the belt and go buy a new smaller one, It is time. Glad BigBossMan is back. I walked 5 miles on Saturday and was so pleased with myself. I am having a garage sale next Saturday to sale my fat clothes, it time to move them out of the closet never to return. I will get a new official weight on Thursday, but unofficially I am down 60+pounds. For Memorial Day this year it was not about the food. I went to a party, something I had avoided before. Ate a few bits and was done, today I had to have some BBQ so I went to Corky's got a pound of beef and a rack of ribs and it should do me at least a week. It is so funny, that use to be a meal. I am a different person, a better person as we all are.

You know it is all how you look at it. I was not a self pay, but would have to change my life. I know it is a lot of money but even in the short term it is well worth it. Not to mention your health, you save every month. I did not realize being fat was costing me money, who knew.

On Thursday, since I took off Early on Wednesday for my Birthday. The people at work had me a nice German chocolate cake with candles and I had a piece. Well maybe not a piece. I had approx one table spoon, not rounded either. I think they were testing me, in a nice way. They wanted to do something for me and did not know what to do, I skipped lunch since I had that tablespoon and was not hungry anyway.

  20. I have noted before that I am walking 2.5 miles each day a t lunch, or at least the days I am not stuck on calls. Well, this morning I got up and was at the river at 6:30, I walked my route then thought this is not big deal let me double it by going across the Big Dam Bridge, not kidding that is the official name of the walkway that goes across the Arkansas River at Murrey Lock and Dam, so it did it. I walked approx 5 miles it took me 1.5 hours but considering that before I had my LB I was winded just getting to my office, and that was only a little over two months ago. The LB has dramatically changed my life. I also continue to loss weight and will have a official update on Friday of next week following group. Let me also say the reason I had time to walk is now it takes me next to nothing t get things done. I mean I use to spend the weekend on projects that now I can complete on Friday night after I get home from work. No more naps, no more focusing on food. In fact tonight I am going to a party, something I would have avoided before because of my weight.

  22. So I take a half day off work today, but when my Boss arrives, or at lease when she logs into the system in Atlanta, I am in Little Rock. The first thing she does is tell me to wrap it up and go home. She is such a great boss, and no she does not read this or even know I had a LB. So I go to walk the Big Dam Bridge, it is a 2.5 mile walk above the water crossing the Arkansas River, it is awesome. Then I go to the store and buy two filet minon steaks for dinner. Thinking it will be great to have beef, I have only had one other small sample of beef since the LB. I cook them in the oven and start to eat. TWO BITES, YES I SAID TWO BITES and I was full and had to take a papaya emizine just to get it to go down. My friend was all apologetic, but I thought it was great. I thought all day I was going to over eat, I was going to cheat, at least cheat with more protein than I should have had, not a chance the LB worked perfect. So next week when I get my official weight I should be down 60 pounds or at least that is my goal. Happy Birthday

  24. Coach that is just awesome, keep leading the charge since you inspire me. I am glad you are adjusting to the band so well. Thanks for your update, Greg
  25. After some previous posting on this thread, I went with Doctor Luttrell. I was banded in Hope on March 16th. He is a wonderful doctor, good at making sure you are set, not he is set. Both him and Erin are very understanding and easy to talk to and I am so glad I went with him. I am down 50 plus pounds, have moved from a 46 to 42 inch waist and feel great. So if you are thinking about who to use, you might want to consider Dr. Luttrell. He has group the last Thursday of the month and I have been to two of them and both time he was there to make sure all questions are answered. Great Doctor and Great Support.
