  1. At least your making progress in the right direction. Good for you. Your doing it all right.
  2. You missed the point (Did your Dr say it is ok to drink pop)? that is all.
  3. THANK YOU,, the newer people on the forum don't really know what a true slider food is. When I saw this, and the rice I smiled and thought. Will someone please do something. I for one been there done that. Been frustrated and back. Wonder where the mods would step in and interject they have been there done that. Everyone has a story I for one have no right to step on anyone's toes nor will I. Your all great in my eyes. Keep on doing what your doing. Peace.
  4. Coffee Really don't talk to me until I have had my coffee. I can not even think. Well I can think. but I never even drank coffee until I quit drinking Pop. Dose anyone see problems here. What is in those beans?
  5. This thread is useless. if your doing this your a fool. Just my opinion. I am frustrated every time I see this one come to the front of the line.
  6. I have been doing good although my loss has slowed down. but until I get back to my sweet spot that is expected. It is like starting all over again. Not a big deal just a small bump in the road. It will be ok. I really like how all the fuss is made about don't eat or drink before surgery. What crap that is. The day my Slip was discovered at 10am or so I was in surgery at 12pm that day I had Breakfast and drank and did the whole shabang. also drank the barrium junk at 10am. Funny they did the surgery no problems. Rock on or it was a bad deal and had to be done NOW. Good thing is I am here to tell about it and I really like my Doc. saw the problem and fixed that day. no putting it off. That is full service. Scotty d
  7. I feel real bad for her but as it is in Mexico I think she is just lucky she found a Dr. that will fix the problem here in the State's I wish there is something that can be done to warn people of this kind of wrong doing. This woman had nothing but dreams ahead of her. To be taken away by a Man who takes short cuts knowing he will never see her again. Not right.
  8. Go on liquids, if you can not get them down. you need to see your Doc. as you will Dehydration will cause problems you have time. Drink, clear fluids, clear broth. if this dose not work. See your Doc. to get some taken out. Scotty D Been there done that.
  9. I had my band slip what you have discribed is nothing like what I went through. Sorry can't help in this. Hope all is well. One thing I will say I never felt the band slip. Scotty D
  10. Everyone gave you great advice, get back on your post op plan and move on. Really you did it move forward it is too late to look back. lets go. You have got the power with in you. I believe in you. Scotty D
  11. I for one am sitting here in total amazement and disbelief. I am so glad I have a Dr. that I knew going into this whole thing ahead of time. I really feel for your friends pain. I wish her the best and a fast recovery I hope you fill up in as she progresses. With everything there are people out there to steal your dreams and take your cash. We the trusting soles we are will be taken advantage of but if we hold tight and band together we will beat the crooks at their game. Somethings never change but we the people that pay the fools that steal from us and take us for granted will suffer in the end. It is too bad Some of us have to shoulder the PAIN. Scotty D
  12. Come on you have been at this a year. you know what is going on here. Not loosing weight? eating too much of some foods that are slider foods? my guess? and vomiting? Too Tight to in the band to adjust for the slider foods your eating. then when you do eat real food you vomit. Careful here this leads to problems. I AM NOT SAYING THIS IS YOU!!! IT WAS ME. I HAD TO RE-BOUND AND TURN IT AROUND AND I DID. i see you in me. catch it now before you have a real issue.. Just trying to help
  13. Did you ask him if he would take out your gall bladder when you had your banding done? I did. For some reason I still have mine I guess I should be angry.
  14. I love my band and I have lost a total of 184 lbs so far. I have good restriction again and things are going well. I have been banded for just about 14 months. It's all good hang in there. Follow the Doc's orders and you will have great results. No it is not magic, But I for one did not get all (FAT) overnight so I for one can not expect to be thin overnight. I take accountability for my condition and I am moving forward. I refuse to remain stuck in the Oreo Zone. Although I do love them. They are my go to comfort food. When I fall off the wagon I fall into the Oreo's BAD Scotty I am human. I do however know how to pick myself back up and get my tail moving again. Fuel in fuel out. I have 22lbs to lose and they just don't want to leave.
  15. I would call and go in and get a fill, I am sure he will see you before march. Mine would.
  16. Go to your Dr. directly. do not mess around.
  17. Crap when I binge It is oreo's period. Why try to get around it. Yep I do it once in awhile I am human so I eat a whole row. feel like crap. eat no supper wash it down the hole with milk and move on. The next day is a new one. Right one wrong one stumble it will happen. I have a problem and I can admit it.
  18. http://www.fortworthlapband.com/public/forms/LAP-BAND_Golden_Rules.pdf? Maybe this will help It does for me when I am having problems staying on point. If your eating bread you just don't gedt it yet. That is a shame as this surgery costs a ton.
  19. Shrimp is one of those foods that are hard to pass through the band. So if you can eat them on a good day when the band is loose your lucky. They are like white bread to me. Also anything with breading on it is a not a food I can eat food. But I know we are all different. I just have to remember I am on a diet or a life style change. I don't like to PB ever. I have slipped a band and it sucks. Follow the band rules and you will win your battle. It has been me and the band for 13.5 months and still going. good times and bad times.
  20. Things seem like forever when it is going on. I had this happen to me one time. It took a long time but really I was in panic mode. So everything is in slow mode. We all react differently under stress. I did however have to have the xray dept do my fill as we had trouble that day. but since then smooth sailing. Go figure. Good luck I wish you the best.
  21. You can actually push your Dr for a fill every week. As long as he will do it. Since I had my band replaced I have went back every week for a fill. and also I was there again today. It is up to you and your Dr.
  22. Slider foods are no good to any of us. period. If you think they are Your in your weight gaining cycle. Your not working the band except in the wrong direction. Just my 2 cents. Your only fooling yourself.
  23. I would be more than happy to help. email me at Scottyd@hur.midco.net
