  1. The other 4 days I didn't really feel any band tightness. Once I got a pill stuck but that was it. Today though I just woke up feeling really tight and am having a hard time with any thicker liquids. Thoughts??
  2. I was banded on 7/7 too and I can burp BUT it hurts a little so.....don't be jealous
  3. Hey all! I got banded today around 11:30, was home by 3:15 and am doing well. I have gas pain and some pain in the pouch area when I drink but nothing horrible. My port area is def. sore, it feels like a pulled muscle and goes down pretty far into my lower abdomen. I've been up walkng around at home, getting my own drinks and doing well. Good luck to everyone!
  4. Ugh, I'm starting day 7 today and I'm still only down 4 pounds. GRrrrrr....
  5. Ok so I am now on Day 4 of a 2 week pre-op diet. Day 1 sucked, Day 2 was worse but Day 3 the scale went down nearly 2 pounds from the day before and I was motivated. Yesterday, Day 3, was super busy and ate very little (400 calories). I went for a long moderately paced walk and this AM was excited to get on the scale. I gained almost a pound!!!!!!!!!! Help!!!!
  6. Day 2 of pre-op for me.....not going so great. I have been cavng crackers like no one's business, just crackers!!! Yesterday I ate: (573 calories) sf Jello 4 oz ground turkey salad w/vinegar 1 slim fast high Protein shake banana Today so far: (200 calories) 4 oz yogurt 4 oz sliced turkey breast sf jello I'm hungry but nothing sounds good.....I just want CRACKERS
  7. I have been dieting and exercising and losing weight for 6 months. I'm worried that I'll do the pre-op diet and not have a sigificant loss like others b/c I'm already doing the low cal/low fat thing. I won't lose a ton of water weight either b/c I'm already on a diuretic for my BP. Anyone else in my position? Did you still lose a lot on the pre-op?
  8. Good luck today, I wish I were more busy!
  9. Oh yea, I'm also stessing out about the insurance....still waiting to hear My co-morbidity is not a strong one so....fingers crossed.:cursing:
  10. My pre-op is June 23, the day I have to start my 2 week pre-op diet. They will weigh me that day and if I have gained since my last appt. they cancel surgery. That sent me over the edge psychologically. I had to lose a certain amount of weight to prove my dedication to the process and I did that, practcally starved myself for months. I was hoping I could get a lttle break before the surgery but no. So, I'm back to being hungry ALL the time and eating few calories. My pre-op diet consists of up to 3 protein shakes a day and either one Lean Cuisine (under 300 calories) or 1 meal with restrictions on amounts. No carbs aside from the lean cuisine, and we are allowed unlimited amounts of raw veggies to snack on. It's going to be hard but I can eat so little now or I gain weight I think I'll be used to eat somewhat.
  11. I met with Dr. Wolff on 6/1 and am scheduled for surgery on 7/7 pending insurance approval.
  12. I'm getting banded on July 7th as well. I am excited, pending insurance approval , but also dealing with a little bit of depression. I know it' all normal just hard.
