  1. Jan 21 st here, getting ready 1 day of liquids for pre-op early 7:30 am appt. OUR time is coming! Good luck to all of us
  2. I feel the same way, I am even getting somewhat nauseous! I am excited, but alittle scared. This site really helps! thanks to all who give their imput,it helps! My date is on the 21st, Jan. I read your list and agree, I am 47 yrs young, and started over with 2 litttles ones, almost 6 yrs and almost 2 yrs....no ...I am not crazy...just happen to find the right man later in life, he is wonderful and so supportive. I too would love to play with them on the floor and not worry...can I get up!. This in not to mention the blood pressure prob. so I hope to get healthier and live to be at least 90 yrs of age. thanks for reading, understanding Good luck to all of us, doing it for the right reason....ME
  3. Getting closer, I have been reading posts with some good advice...thnks. Sometimes I feel pretty nervous, but mostly so excited. I turned in my letter of understanding the Lap-Band that was required by the doctor. I am cking the pantry for things to throw out! and getting shakes ready. Anyone worried about hair loss? I have very thin hair to begin with, so I hope I dont loose what I have! maybe I should start some hair vitamins, just in case. I have been having the children's chewable they are good! Still dont know how to add the tracker....bummer Good luck to us all.....it's getting closer I have to go to the pre-op meeting all day on Tues, 20th, going to miss the new Pres. Obama get inagurated.....that is a bummer thank God for TVIO:thumbup:
  4. please tell me what PB stands for and what is slime?? getting banded on the 21st, been reading posts and this one really boggled me, what is PB and slime thanks in advance for saving me from.....PB and slime:eek:
  5. When I went to see the physocologist for the evelation, she recommended that I go on Wellbutrin to help with grazing, eating for no reason, but boredom. It has helped alot, and I think it will be a big help after the band procedure. She thought I might be alittle on the side of mild depression, I am so glad she recommended the wellbutrin, big difference. Ready to get banded on the 21st of this month, think it will help with that grazing that was such a big problem with me. Good luck to you, get back on track. I am learning quite a bit on this site...thanks to all:blush:
  6. I will be banded on the 21st of this month, and wondering as I read your tracker of lost weight, YOU have lost 24 pounds in 5 days?? or did I read it incorrectly? NOt sure what to expect first week, but trying to prepare. Thanks for any insight
  7. I am going in for band on the 21st, I have only one day of liquids.....hummm not sure why? That is all that was required by my doc. Currently I am at 227 I am 42 BMI only 5'3'' tall I am hoping this procedure helps with the BP problem, on meds right now that condition. Got to get ready at home with necessary items...broth, vitamins, and pain med (liquid). Please tell me what else I may need, or what/ how you are preparing for after the band procedure. Good luck to all of us.:grouphug: and does anyone know how to add the weight tape I see at the end of posts?? I would like to track my weight Thanks

Thanks for the note, yes, I am not too tall, seems like everytime I get measured I shrink....lol 5'3'' BMI 42 227 weight My BP started to go to heck sometime in Aug. 140/110 and once a reading of 170/100..dangerous. Cardio said loose weight, but for now,it's meds. He agreed with my decision to do the Lap-Band, said he had others very successful. I am getting very excited, reading and reading , getting ready for some good change to my health. Keep me posted on your changes. Did you say when you were banded? And maybe you can share your first week with me. thanks:thumbup:
  10. My date is for the 21st, getting very excited, having been working on this procedure last 2 months. BMI of 42 hit 227 lbs, now its time to loose. Good luck to all of us starting the journey
  11. I am very anxious about my date getting closer, I am hopeful this will be a good thing for me. I have a BMI of 42, 227 lbs, almost the heaviest I have been....I dont want to get any heavier. I have Blood pressure problems, meds to control it. I have two young children, and I want to enjoy them, play at their level. My husband is so supportive, I am ready.:wink_smile:
  12. Hey, new to this site. I hope to find a support site, so I can reach out and find support throughout this journey. I want to succeed, I need to get healthier. I am currently on BP meds, and the weight is a big part of my problem. I have 2 very young children, 5 yrs and 2 yrs, I want to live to see them grow, and I want to enjoy them, play with them without conditions. Right now I weigh 224-227 lbs, BMI 42 I am anxiously waiting for my procedure date Any insite to what to really expect would be appreciated
