Congratulations! I was told today also that I was approval for the lapband and my surgery date is April 6.

I have Aetna Open Access and my bmi is 41.5 and I was approval within 4 business days. I was scared because of my last 2 years bmi. I guess Aetna didn't have a problem with it. Make sure to check with your HR to make sure that lapband is cover. If so you want have any problems long as your following Aetna requirements. Good luck:thumbup:

I call everyday when I found out my papers were submitted. Aetna approval on the fourth business day. I was very surprise to see how fast Aetna is working. My surgery date is April 6 I'm a little scared. I will start my pre-op diet on tomorrow.

Please call and check on your status. My information was submitted on Thursday, March 12 and it was approval on Tuesday, March 17. I call on Friday, Monday, and call today. So don't be scared or nervous Aetna seems to be moving fast.

They could given you an answer over the phone. Don't worry Monday will be here soon. Aetna will receive my paper work on Monday and I'm scared its going to be a long waiting period. Hopefully I will get an answer within 2 week. How long you has it been for you?
