  1. Anyone know about bcbs of Illinois? My surgery is covered and set for feb 9th , but now Im a bit nervous about the fills? Any info would be great.
  2. Hello! Yes I am having my band placed on feb.9th also! I go for a pre op class next monday and start the dreaded diet on tuesday!! Im nervous but I love coming to this site for moral support, like someone said, "keep your eye on the prize" and that is how I will get through the 2 week diet from hell!!!!!! Best wishes to all of us!
  3. So glad to see some people have the same issues. Im 2 weeks from the pre op diet and have surgery on 2-9-10. I see dr. on Jan 27th. All I feel like I do is overeat lately. I am so dissapointed in myself.I feel like I want to eat whatver I want now because I wont be able to later. This is crazy!!!! I vow to start fresh tomorrow and get ready for the upcoming diet /pre op class ect, please pray for me to do it!!! I need your support!! Thanks.......:w00t:

We can do this, we are gonna be soooo hot next year at this time, and healthy too!! 30 days from today is my surgery and I can't wait. 2 weeks till the big pre op diet, that makes me a little nervous, but I have to tell myself it is getting my body ready for the big day!!   7. Hello and congrats!! I to just got approved and have a date for my band on Feb. 9-2010. So very excited and nervous and wish it was this week. We can do this, we were approved, so I look at it as a sign from God that we are on the right path!! Best of luck to all of us.......:biggrin:
  8. I am so :thumbup:shocked at how fast all this has gone. I went to a seminar in July and all other things required and got approved in Nov.!!!! I have a date for my surg, it will be Feb. 9th. Im so excited and nervous and worry soooo much about the pre op diet and excess skin. But I know this is what I need to do. It will all work out and I will come to this site for support. Congrats to all Feb Bandsters and I look forward to chatting with you!!!
  9. I have bcbs of IL. and was just approved. It was fairly easy as long as you do exactly as the dr. tells you. 3 month diet and they submit everything. seminar was in July, met dr and went over procedure in Aug. , Sept , oct and Nov were 3 month diet . Saw a cardio, psycho, and pulmo doctors in that time frame too. Submitted on Nov 9 and had an answer on Nov.30th!!!! Best of luck and do not give up. I can not wait till Jan to be banded!!!
  10. JUst got approval from my insurance and am so very excited. I should be banded by end of January or 1st of Feb. Any other Illinois people getting banded in 2010??? Best of luck to us all!!!

  12. I am new here. I would like to know how to know which type of surgery to have. I know it will depend on insurance too, but I am just wondering.
  13. Hello to all. I am new to this. I am just in the research stage of seeing if this surgery is for me. I definitely have 100 lbs. to lose and a BMI of 46. I am calling my insurance monday to see if they cover this. I have BCBS/Illinois and I have to say from what I have read Im not so sure that is going to help!!!
