  1. You should be okay eating those foods. The only problem you may have might be with bagels. I can typically eat 1/4 of one.
  2. When you start getting fills you will not be as hungry. You still, however, will have to make sure you don't have junk around. Junk goes down too easy! Replace those foods with high protein foods such as yogurt or frozen yogurt. You will feel full longer so hopefully that will help. Also, fruit is good. Good luck.
  3. YOu may gain weight after going back to solids but you have to. You can start getting fills and that will help.
  4. She is correct that if you don't get enough calories your lean muscle mass will go down. That being said, you are eating like a bandster. My trainer had me on 1200 calories a week and I did really well. Still to what your surgeon says. It will be worth it in the end.
  5. I have hit my sweet spot and can only eat 1/3 to 1/4 cup of food.
  6. Just wait the 6 weeks and get your fill. I had to wait 6 weeks.
  7. You should still be tight in the a.m. I always drink a protein shake. If you are eating 1 cup of food that is too much. Good restriction is more like 1/3 or 1/4 cup of food. Good luck.
  8. I can go 2 to 3 months without a fill. No more.
  9. Mine are $200 without fluro
  10. The only scars I have are the incissions. They don't go away and are visible.
  11. He is trying to talk you out if it. You may want to change surgeons? You can't feel the band. You may feel your port. I've lost about 60 lbs and still can only feel my port if I lay down and push on it. Make sure you ask for a low profile port. That would help.
  12. Great NSV. Keep up the good work.
  13. I would stay on soft foods for the next 2 weeks then move to solids. It is too soon for solids.
  14. You can rip out your sutures so don't do it. If you are starving eat some creamy soup. You should be moving to mushies within 2 weeks. Good luck.
  15. 16 lbs is great. You shouldn't be denied.
  16. Band surgery was really easy. The worst part was the sore throat I had from the tube down my throat.
  17. you have done great. Keep up the good work.
  18. You are doing the right thing by seeking out a fill. That is exactly where I would start.
  19. Don't feel so bad! I had to pull over my car and puke out the door last week. Fun!
  20. Yes, I am getting a slight unfill for vacation. Last time my doctor took me down to 2.5 from 3.0 I could eat a sandwich. I am happy with that. I don't want to gorge. I just am sick of only eat 1 oz at a time. I'll probably gain a few lbs but I go back in right when I return for a fill so I should be okay.
  21. I smoked preop and continue to smoke with no problems.
  22. GNC has a really good one. Its yummy.
  23. When I had my surgery last year I spent the night. Currently my doctor does 100% outpatient.
  24. Liz, good luck with your preop diet. You can do it.
