Anyone from Georgia ??
Although Dr Lin did my surgery, My initial visit was with Dr. Davis and he came highly recommended. Dr. Lin was awesome but Dr Davis would be my next choice at Emory.

Hello everyone. Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I had a death in my immediate family, so i have been traveling back and forth to my home in Mississippi. As far as the weight loss, it has really slowed down. I had my first fill a few weeks ago but i still have no restriction. I am due to have another one in 3 weeks. I hope it helps. I am exercising and trying to follow the diet but its tough. Other than that i am doing well. Good to see everyone else is doing great. Good luck with your approval, Atlspeedy. I promise to keep in touch. Just had alot going on this past month. Well i am heading out to vote. I will check back in later.

4jin i am doing fine. Still a little sore in the port area but other than that i am doing well. I am having a hard time getting the required protien in but i am trying. I ordered a weight loss cookbook today because my meals are becoming very redundant and boring. Glad everything is going smoothly for you. You will be banded in no time. Congrats!!!

Help!! Need Georgia Buddy...
Hello Angelsoul. My name is Charise. I had my surgery done at Emory as well. Dr Edward Lin was my surgeon. Yes it is mandatory that you bring someone with you. I took one of my closest friends, who is very supportive of my decision. I would love to be your surgery buddy. Email me at charise76@gmail.com. I was banded on November 27th and it is the best decision i ever made in my life.

How long is the process????
I started my process at the end of August this year. I was banded on November 27th. I was approved thru insurance rather quickly. Most of my waiting was the scheduling of the appointments and the doctor's availability. It was a 3 month process for me. The bariatric center was really nice about trying to schedule some appointments on the same day. Good Luck!!!

:ranger: Klpdbl i am so sorry to hear that, but your wieght loss is great and very encouraging. Hopefully in 2 weeks you will get your fill. You are definitely an inspiration to me. Went back to work on Tuesday. Sorry i haven't posted but, I was only off a week from work and it seems everything went stir crazy while i was out. I had my one week post op appointment on Wednesday. I lost 5 lbs in one week. I guess water and boullion cubes will do that to you. I am not hungry at all. I drink unjury shakes for breakfast and lunch and food for dinner. The protien shakes really help with hungry. The gas pain is terrible but walking helps; other than that i feel fine. I hope everyone else is doing well.
