My family is completely freaked out that I am doing all this. In fact, I'm absolutely ADDICTED to the gym. When there is a day that I can't go for whatever reason, I am NOT HAPPY. I feel so good after I work out.

Weight Challenge: Labor Day to Thanksgiving
Dare I say it?!?!? The scale is finally starting to move in the right direction as of today. The weight lifting is helping, I believe. I'm hoping to post a good change at the end of next week. Here is to lots of sweat and lots of prayer!

Weight Challenge: Labor Day to Thanksgiving
Well the scale is STILL stuck. In fact, it went up a tad before settling right back where it was before. I'm pretty disgusted with the whole thing right now, but I'm still trudging through. My efforts have GOT to pay off sooner or later. I don't start with my trainer until the 24th, so I'll just keep trying on my own until then. I doubt very seriously if I will even come close to my goal, but I refuse to change it and am still trying for it. (I told y'all I was stubborn, right? LOL) I'm looking forward to this Saturday! The largest wine festival in the South is in Grapevine, Texas this weekend, which is about 15 minutes from home. I think it is going to be wonderful! We are taking an antique train from the Fort Worth Stockyards into Grapevine and spend the day. I will have a "cheat day" that day. I won't have time to go to the gym, and I'm going to eat whatever my heart desires! (And that my band will allow, of course!) I saw my trainer at the gym and she said to try "shocking the body" by going completely off my regimen for a day. I'll let y'all know just how bad it gets! LOL

Weight Challenge: Labor Day to Thanksgiving
I'm stuck with you guys! STILL! I started lifting weights yesterday and hope that will break my plateau. I also signed up with a personal trainer so she can make sure that I am doing all I can (and doing it correctly) to continue the weight loss. Here's hoping! Good luck everyone...don't give up! I find it rather odd that we are all hitting a plateau at the same time. Maybe that means it is part of the process where are bodies are adjusting to what we have gone through so far and just need to shake things up a bit. I have a "hunch" that we will break through this soon.

CLARAMAE - Thank you! My memory may be failing me here, but I don't recall seeing you on here before, so WELCOME! Please stick around! Even though you were banded in August, you can be a "JUNIE" too! JUNIES ROCK! Good luck on your journey, and come here often...especially if you are down and don't feel like it, because that is when you need us the most. Right now I'm struggling through my first bad patch...weight not dropping much at all. But I keep coming in and seeing what is going on...helping where I can and asking for help, too. There are some great folks here and everyone is always willing to lend a shoulder, some advice, or a butt-kicking if it's needed! LOL Glad to see you here! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ And to everyone here...have a great weekend!

Weight Challenge: Labor Day to Thanksgiving
I think about two weeks or so. I have lost about two pounds in that time, but that is a drastic change from before. I will definitely try changing up the eating, but I don't know what to do to change up the excercise. Maybe add lifting weights? I'm addicted to the bike...can't not do that! I'm not really doing anything specifically for upper body...any ideas? I'd love to see four to five pounds gone a week like before.

Weight Challenge: Labor Day to Thanksgiving
My weight loss has come to almost an absolute standstill. No clue what the deal is...frustrating! I'm so close to "ONE-derland", but I can't get there! ARGH! I'm excercising like crazy, too! I don't know what I'm doing wrong! My body fat is droppin like crazy, but the weight is static. Venting aside, I need to figure this out if I am going to be successful at this challenge. I'd love it if I could do it before my vacation at the beginning of November, but right now all I'm doing is treading water. Has anyone discussed this with their doctors/nutritionists/nurses? Any suggestions?

Oh my goodness! Y'all are so sweet! Keep it coming! LOL (Just kidding!) Seriously, everyone here is doing so well from what I can tell. Eating habits are changed/changing, some feel restriction and some don't/some are losing lots and some are losing littles. LOL The main thing is that habits are changing! Lord knows everyone is SHOCKED that I am watching what I eat and excercising...two things I NEVER did before in my LIFE! The band is frustrating, to be certain...and we all fall off the horse once in a while (for me, it was tonight at CiCi's Pizza!). I think all that is par for the course on this journey we have chosen. Tears and frustration are part of the package, unfortunately. But they are not ever as bad as they feel at the moment we experience them! I'm so glad I've found this place! I have learned SO MUCH from you folks! Can you imagine all those bandsters out there that don't even know places like this exist, and are doing this all on their own? What a horrifying thought, huh?

September Exercise Challenge
Monthly Total = 220 Minutes 60 minutes elliptical 60 minutes recumbent bike (hill trainer program) (It's raining, so no trail ride today. ) I went to a bike shop yesterday. The manager was so nice, had me bring my bike in and he set it up properly for me. Seat height and angle, handlebar height and angle, brake lever location. They actually measure the angle of your knee when you are in the saddle pedaling....I never knew it was so precise! I got some padded underlayers to go under my shorts, so hopefull my arse won't hurt so bad now! LOL And I was also having a problem with the circulation getting cut off in my hands after about eleven miles, so I got some gloves with gel pads in them. I was anxious to ride this morning to see if all this "junk" really helps, but it's raining and will be all week. Phooey!
