  1. Here's a link for the protein, if you like: Bodybuilding.com - Optimum 100% Casein Protein - Slow Protein Digestion! On sale now!
  2. B - I ordered Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Casein Slow-Acting Protein, Aminogen Enhanced. I got the Banana Cream and Chocolate Supreme. I just put 8 oz. of skim milk in the Magic Bullet with a heaping scoop of the Banana Cream and ten ice cubes. It's pretty darn good! I'm not experiencing any aftertaste, no grittiness, and it is very creamy. The only complaint I would have is that it's a tad sweet, so I will probably throw a tablespoon of natural peanut butter in for the future to see if that doesn't cut the sweetness down. I can't wait to try the Chocolate Supreme tomorrow night!
  3. 38 miles on my bike today. I didn't keep track of the time, it was so gorgeous outside. I guess I'll find out when I download my bike computer tomorrow. It was a GLORIOUS 79 degrees today! Unbelieveable! If it is even half as nice tomorrow, I'm gonna start early and shoot for 60 miles!
  4. LOL Thanx, BG! You know I heart you! And that is so amazing that you went to an A & W and just sipped tea! I am proud of you, too! There is NO WAY I could have avoided ordering a root beer float! What brand is your veggie burger? I can't find one I like.
  5. Great observations, HP! I love the attitude! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Okay, I know you northerners just LOVE us Texans for this... BUT I CANNOT BELIEVE IT IS 79 DEGREES TODAY! WTF?!?!? Needless to say, I went riding today and got in a wonderful 38 miles! In bike shorts and a short sleeve jersey, no less! In JANUARY! This is odd, even for us...don't you think, B?
  6. Okay, I heart all of y'all...you KNOW I do! But I gotta say that the book/meat horrors/whatever thing is starting to gross me out! LOL Let's get back to being exercise freaks on this thread! We are all so good at it! <wink> :help: :whoo:  :clap2: :Banane20: :speechles :biggrin1: :heh: :Banane20:
  7. Okay...made a Sparkpeople page...though I'm not sure how to use it just yet! My screen name is TexasFire67.
  8. Okay, gotta check out this SparkPeople y'all keep talking about! I'm off!
  9. Thanks, WHOS! Excellent list! You are all over the charts, which I love. Some of your picks surprise me, as I think you are a lot younger than I am? Okay, what is this about an underwater MP3?!?!? Got a link? I need one of those before summer if they are not hella expensive! I also love the new pic of you and MM! Could y'all be any more adorable?
  10. The best remedy for sore muscles is to drink a ton of water. You can post your excercise on Sunday, every day, or whenever you like. I am keeping up with it daily, so it is y'alls choice as to when you feel like it and when you have time.
  11. HA! We are ALL nerds, huh?
  12. Yeah, Magic Bullets rule. I got another shipment of casein protein in the mail tonight, and I also got this little portable mixer. Can't wait to see if it really works. Sure will help me if it does, because those shaker bottles kinda suck and leave icky lumps. I like to carry one or two servings of protein drink with me to mix on the go since I pretty much live at the gym or in my truck!
  13. AMEN TO THAT! Yuck!
  14. Two hours at the gym today on biceps/triceps. Yep, one of my left triceps has issues. Not bad enough to make me quit, so I really have to watch it so I don't make it worse. That would really piss me off. We did the dumbbell relay again today...been a few weeks. Man, that really hurts ya good! Gonna be sore tomorrow! Angel - Cool beans! Glad you are lurking! And the stuffed sausage comment was funny! I can only imagine...you are gonna love it when that thing can stay off! You are gonna be a completely new chica!
  15. OMG that is so funny! You might be as big a nerd as ME! LOL
  16. It's an herb that, in extract form (liquids or packets just like splenda or sweet n low), is 200-300 times sweeter than table sugar. You can usually find it at whole foods/organic stores. I just looked it up this morning for someone on another thread. Pretty incredible how sweet this plant is! It is part of the Chrysanthemum family...weird, huh?
  17. BG- Yes, veggie kabobs are awesome! You start spinning classes next week, too??? So do I!!! I can't wait!!! I'm taking two classes, though...because each are only one day a week and I think that is just not enough for me! ZZ - Yeah, I have to make the chicken just so I can torch it like HoosierPoms! LOL I have never seen whole chickens MORE on fire than in that picture!!! Hilarious! And I gotta get that book! JM - Fresh fruit is the only way to go, believe me. Canned anything is pretty much crap-o-la. Fresh, fresh, fresh...YUMMY, too! Beware the cheese in mass quantities, though! It will plug you up, girl! LOL But I just saw a cheese advertised yesterday that is supposed to aid with digestion...what an oxymoron! I can't recall the name, but it reminded me of the yogurt Activia? Dunno. I'll pay more attention next time it's on. DiBaby - Get well, girl! We miss ya! Angel - We miss you, too! Glad to see you poking your head in from time to time! How you feeling? JM and BG - Honey is yummy! There is always Stevia, too! And it's completely natural!
  18. Yep, you gotta do both, for sure. As far as doing cardio or lifting first...there are many schools of thought...none of which are any more compelling (to me) than the other. Do what you prefer so that you always get through both. Personally, I don't do them in the same session. But when I used to, I always did cardio last, because if I did it first I would never make it to the weight room!
  19. Hey, Suze...the feeling is mutual and you BETTER be coming! In fact, if this big-ass BBQ comes to fruition, I'm gonna invite everyone on ALL these threads I subscribe to! But even if I don't pull off the mass BBQ, you still have to come to see me!
  20. Cardio 90/Resistance 120 Rode the trainer for an hour and a half and went to the gym for two hours. Really enjoying pushing my boundries on the amount of weight I'm lifting. We worked our backs today. Tomorrow is biceps/triceps...can't wait!
  21. 1/3/08 @ 11:28pm I see I have a gazillion PM's to catch up on, and I will take care of all before lunch tomorrow. I will also have the spreadsheet caught up by then. KAY - Of course you can join! Anyone can join anytime along the way! PM me your start weight/goal weight/weekly cardio minutes goal/resistance minutes goal. If you don't do one or the other, just put zero. ALL - I live here on this forum, and I have a worksheet to keep up with everyone daily. I really don't mind at all. The only thing I ask is for everyone to keep me honest and check the spreadsheet to make sure I credit you with the correct numbers. The week starts on Monday and ends on Sunday. I will try to make sure I update the spreadsheet every day before lunch. I am so excited to see how everyone progresses! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1/4/08 @ 12:45pm WHEW! Got it all done, I believe! Loaded the chart and answered all the PM's! I love it! But I did think of one thing...since this week started on Monday and we are just getting going, I need everyone to post their minutes so far for this week so I can give everyone the right numbers for week ending on the 6th.
  22. J - Yes, I've known hubby since I was 15, so I hope I can trust him! LOL ZZ - We've talked about this! You gotta go get you some! B - Your knowledge knows no bounds! You amaze me!
  23. WHOS - Hey, no guilt! Not allowed! You work out a lot and you have to do what is right for you and your schedule. How boring would life be if we all droned through life doing the same as everyone else? JESS - I was, but couldn't stand the taste of it. It was like taking cough syrup every day...puke. Need to find it in capsule form or unflavored powder to add into my "gym juice" along with the creatine and glutamine powder. I haven't really looked, I must confess. I'm sure they have it at The Vitamin Shoppe. I'm going there today to pick up their latest magazine, so I'll letcha know. It's supposed to be really good in the fat loss department. So is glutamine, but l.carnitine is supposed to be better. Hey congrats on the losing inches! Yeah, when I first started working out a lot, I was SO DISAPPOINTED in the slow or no weight loss. Then I took my measurements, and realized I was doing a LOT of good. Keep up the good work!
  24. Wow...so I'm really not alone in this! Hilarious! Hubby still refers to that night during our vacation in 96!
  25. I know, J! It's awful! Yeah, I don't have experience in the blacking out (from crazy amounts of tequilla) and having crazy sex, either! LOL
