  1. thank you so much for sharing that with me. i am so anxious to ge this repaired and i was slightly nervous about the whole thing. im glad to hear that your surgery went off with out a hitch. and i will take all the prayers i can get!
  2. Hey FNM (i just cant bring myself to call you fatty:biggrin:)- I started having heartburn about 2 weeks after a fill that i had in march and it got progressively worse and more frequesnt. it finally fgot to the point were it was allthe time even after drinking water and you could hear it. not just me, but people around me could hear it. then it got to the where it would wake me up from a dead sleep in the middle of the night. it was pretty bad and medication didnt do anything for it
  3. The first indication of band slippage for my doctor was that I was having alot of heart burn but i wasnt at optimal retriction. When the heartrurn set in she immediately thought that I was too tight. But ik ept telling her that that wasnt the case that I didnt feel like i had reached my green zone yet. so after 2 months of slowly getting unfilled she opted for an esophogiagram and it showed the slippage. We then did an unfill down to 3cc's which she thought would correct it but no such luck.
  4. Hey trapped thanks for the post. Yeah my doc tried anaprtial unfil but was completely unsatisified with the results. I'm gald to hear the the surgery was successful and mninimal pain. My first one was pretty uneventful as well so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I am toally bumped about 2 weeks on liquids again, but hey Ifigure it willa llow me to make up the time and the weight i havent been losing from the unfill.
  5. I am 9 months out andmy band has slipped, which mean another surgery to repair it. Anyone one out there go through tis already? my doctor said that this is her first one that didnt fix itself with an unfill that she has had and she has only had one other.
  6. Hey Wendy Congrats!!!!! You are doing an AMAZING job!
  7. thanks for the advice. here it is monday and i was able to get down a little cottage chees and peaches with no problems...taking it slow!
  8. I hope thats going to dot he trick, I have NEVER felt like this before not even after a fill.
  9. Im new to this tread, but looking for some advice. I am 8 months out and have been doing very well, only one PBing episode about 2 monthspost op, + UNTIL 2 days ago. I ate some left over chicken that didnt want to go or stay down...so it didnt. the following day i had another episode with something getting stuck. It was very uncomfortable for almost 2hours and then I made the dreaded mistake, I drank some water" and that litteraly pushed me over the edge. I pb'ed for what seemed like forever it just kept coming and coming, first the water and then the food. After that it felt like my throat was swollen and it seemed as if every sip of water I took for the rest of the day just stayed at the back of my throat. Has anyone every experienced this? I'm thinkg that all the PBing irratated my throat? Do you think maybe my throat is swollen and irratated> my last fill was more than 6 weeks ago, so I'm thinkg I'm not to tight. I dont know know whats going on here. HELP!
  10. Hopeully someone can offer some insight, as I am not looking forward to going to emergency room if I dont have to. So I'm 8 months out, and have been doing failry well. So on Monday I have some left over chicken that apparently is too dry and it stays stuck for HOURS, very uncomfortable, to the point where it finally came up. So the very next day at lunch i have another episode with something getting stuck and this time when it came up it triggered a 5 minute session of PBing. After which my throat started to swell (or so it felt like it)to the point that when i was drinking water it was feeling like it was stuck in the back of my throat. Whats that all about? Can excessvie PBing/Vomiting cause your throat to feel like is swollen?

  14. I think the overall production cost for survior might be lower. i mean I know they fly them to remote islands which I'm sure is costly, but once they drop them off. The overhead is virtually zero, no room and board and no food. Where as TBL they rent that ranch, they have to pay filiming cost in CA which as astronomical and all the staff they are mandated to have on hand, physical therapist, emt's, and whoever else is there beihind the scenes. So maybe the prize is lower beacause the cost to produce is so much higher. I don't know, just a thought. And BTW Tara is a machine...I look at her and how she pushes herself and I wonder "where does she get that kind of drive and motivation from?" she truely is very motivating,, just watching her beat men in challenge after challenge warms the cockels of my heart!
  15. OMG! now i have to google all the passt biggest loser contestants...the curiostiy is going to kill me wether or not they kept it off.
  16. i cant wait to see the contestants next week. it'll be so exciting to see how much they have changed and how hard they have been working on there own. i am so on team tara, that girl is a frickin machine she always powers through every challenge and when she passed up the guys pulling that 2 ton car i was like, "you have go to be freaking kidding me!" she is amazing. i wasnt a big fan of hers early on but i am a true convert! and dan...I am so happy to hear that he is doing well, cant wait to see him next week.
  17. hello all, i'm new to this tread but glad to find it as tbl is my obsession. i have always had a pet peeve about the shirts and full length sport bras towards the end of the show, it's like they make them get up there in all there glory when they are extemely heavy, showing everything. but once they get down a significant amount of weight then they cover them up. and have you notice how long everyones shorts are? i really think the bottom line is that even though they are losing weight the suppossid "right way" (subject to interpretation) they are still losing massive amounts of weight in a very short amount of time and even on the youngest of bodies there is going to be some lose skin and some additional "movement"...at any rate i love the show and they are doing amazing things.
  18. I think there were at least 4 sites where you could find novemebr bandsters, but I think a few of us have been posting on http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f178/how-banded-notorious-novembers-80599/. Not sure, but you might see some familiar faces there.
  19. I Love my Body Bugg....if for no other reason it makes me so aware of how sedintary i am sometimes and makes me accountable to get up and move. Wheter or not its 100% accurate or not it really does give me a measure to go by. Its great to see how much your activity or lack thereof effects your weight loss. I dont regret this purchase at all. I've been wearing for a month and it's just second nature and part of my daily fashion statement. Eventhough its winter everywhere else in the world its summertime in California, 80degress and short sleeve weather, which promtps alot of questions about that "thing" on my arm. Hope everyone is well, take care!
  20. To all the men reading this post just turn away....Ok to all my nortorious november ladies, i've got a question for you. is anyone else's cycle completely out of wack? tmi? i know, but in lieu of searching for a thread on the topic i thought i'd check with thoes i already know. the past 2 months mine is so completely off it's driving me nuts. i have heard tale of weight loss affecting your tom but i was just curious if anyone shared this delimma. i'm a woman of predictability. i like my coffe by 9, my kids to bed by 8:30, and my cycle every 28 days...so this is throwing a kink in my routine....and i'm not pg. already took a test...twice!

ok so i had an "aha" moment. i've been struggling a little since my first fill, with not feeling any restriction but i've talked about that enough. ok so today after work i pick up my 2 wonderful kids (my lovebugs) 18 months old, princess chloe and 4 yr old, self proclaimed, king elijah. after running a few errands locally around town they have both fallen asleep by the time i get home. herin lies the problem. i live in a rather larger condominium complex and my parking space is not at all close to my unit, coupled with the fact that my husband works at night, so that leave me to somehow get them both in the house. i some how get them both out of their car seats elijah up on one shoulder and chloe on the other....and i'm waiting and praying that one of them will open up thoes beautiful brown eyes so i can at least put one down and they can walk, but no such luck. so here i go in my 3 inch heels, trying to walk very quickly trying get from my parking spot at my condominum complex to my front door, a good 200 steps and i'm thinking good lord these kids are heavy (36lbs/24lbs) when "AAAHA" hits me as my arms start to burn and tingle. my 2 kids collectivley weigh about 60lbs, thats only 8 pound shy of what i've lost since my start (pre and post op together). that's when i said to myself, "self." you have done a good job so far!" thats 52lbs down that i dont ever want to carry around again unless its in the forum of my 2 precious lovebugs.

  24. Hi Everyone! I'm new to this tread. I Purchased a Bodybugg yesterday and hit the ground running this morning. I'm very excited to add this tool to my weight loss arsenol of things that will hopefully allow me to be a success. The frustrating part is waiting for the phone call for the set up. I programmed miy BB and synced it to the display monitor, but I cant figure out how to start logging in my food yet. I'm assuming that when I get the call for the consultation they will cover all of that. Do I have to be PatientPolly or can someone help me out?
  25. Awesome job Heather!
