  1. And by the way, I consider "faith" and "belief" to be two different things.
  2. I'm sure they have faith. I'm just not sure what's good about faith. I mean, if you have to have faith in something, it's because you don't have evidence. If you have evidence, you don't need faith. At least, that's how I look at it.
  3. You've got a very good point. I dunno, I guess I just think of him as a generic cult leader. You know, the kind that sort-of inflate their abilities, or the people around them inflate their abilities.
  4. You should see the shit storm over there with one of the recent newbies. You know Brock? They keep harassing him, thinking he's Wendell. Guess what, people? Some people like having privacy online. That's why they don't put up pictures of themselves or tell who their doctor is or where they are from.
  5. You mean that atheists don't get about theists, right?
  6. Unlike many other Atheists, I don't doubt that Jesus existed. I just doubt that he was who he said he was or that he could do the things he said he could. I personally feel that he was like any other cult leader.
  7. I have to agree with you, Derick's LBT's funny man. Even if you don't agree with his POV, he can still crack you up. :clap2:
  8. She uses lite pie filling. The serving sizes are pretty small, too, but they'd be perfect for bandster snacks.
  9. Yes! I forgot the condensed milk!
  10. My mom has a low calorie cool whip desert. A big container of fat free cool whip, a can of cherry pie filling that's been chopped up, and a small can of crushed pineapple. Mix it all together and freeze or eat as is. It's very good. I can't remember if she added chopped nuts or not.
  11. I did too, when I was at OH. I took the avatar down over there because I got tired of the picture, and the next day I got accused of being KabukiCoyote (who is WASa here) and Dee. Some of the folks at OH thought that they were the same person, too. Apparently, it's a major sin to not have your picture as your avatar or not tell where you're from. It can't just be that someone was tired of their picture or that they don't want to be exposed to their real-life friends, family, and co-workers. Nope, it HAS to be that they are someone's sockpuppet. So freakin' paranoid, it's crazy. :phanvan
  12. They discounted a bunch of it, but I still had to pay a load of money. I had a $3,000 deductible to pay and then had to pay $888.88 to the surgeon, almost $2,500 to the hospital, $308.00 to the anesthesiologist, some to the pathologist, etc.
  13. Ooh, hey, nice avatar. Mine sucks, I need to change it as soon as I get a more current picture.
  14. Mint is icky. :Banane30:
  15. Let me put it this way: I'm 24, and they were acting younger than me. It was seriously elementary-school level maturity. And people wonder that a mentally-ill person goes off the deep end?
  16. Hmm, that's a hard one. I'd say go to a movie or play, but that would exclude the 2 year old. I dunno what you guys could do. Everything I could think of, the 2 year old wouldn't enjoy.
  17. The woman's not deserving of sympathy. She can't even admit that she's done something wrong, for crying out loud, let alone apologize. Until she can do that, she's completely fair game.
  18. Seriously, Chelle. I really don't give a flying you-know-what that you are friends with Sandy. I don't care. I may not agree with it at all, but you pick your own friends. I'm NOT going to shut up about her, though, just because she happens to have a few friends and supporters. The lady (if you can call her that) is an unrepentant lying, stealing, nurse-impersonating convict. And about the cliques.... I am a firm believer that the only people that don't see cliques are either 1) completely blind and stupid, or 2) in the clique.
  19. You have to admit, it's kind of hard to be in the middle, in this kind of situation. On one hand, you have someone who may or may not have acted in the most mature fashion (I can't really say, not having been privy to a lot of the PMs and such.). On the other, you have someone who broke the law, deceived people, was incredibly unethical, and is essentially conning people for money. The first person, while he may have not acted maturely, never broke the law, only really started going after the second person when they sent other people PMs and emails that stated that his surgeon told them HIPAA-protected information, and never lied about the second person. The second person sent that email, didn't tell people that she got kickbacks whenever they bought a book or CD that she recommended, pretended to be a nurse (for profit, I might add, since that is one of the advertising features of her website), gave out medical advice that sometimes turned out to be bad, etc., etc., etc. And I got put with the first person by the second person's supporters at OH, basically because I happened to speak up in support of another person that they didn't like.
  20. So, wait. You "shut your mouth" by starting a thread? How does that work, exactly?
  21. One MAJOR difference. Wendell never did anything illegal.
  22. LJ, you know what I just realized? (And this isn't an attack, so calm down.) You speak in haiku. Or like the boss from That 70s Show. Not sure which, honestly.
  23. I do beans, but not fish. I don't eat anything that used to live in water. As a biology major, I know way too much about what they do and what they are. Shellfish? Essentially giant insects. Roaches of the sea, as I call them.
  24. Yep, spicy foods are incredible! Just made chili last night, with extra garlic, rotel, and chili seasoning.
