  1. Orrrr worktripe? Um, workbites? Hmm, now I'm having trouble coming up with more.
  2. Don't forget Sandy! We definitely agree on that piece of trash.
  3. Apparently. I don't get it, though. We've definitely disagreed with each other in the past (almost violently, in fact, in a couple of cases). Are those threads and posts invisible to anyone but us? Ditto, disagreement is part of discussion. If a person can't handle someone disagreeing with them, they shouldn't be on a discussion board, especially one with a off-topic Rants and Raves forum. And I'm a full believer in naming the people you're talking about. Passive-aggressive BS doesn't fly.
  4. OMG! :pound::pound::pound:
  5. Oh, I don't intend to run her off. I hope she never thought I did. I do get a kick out of the way she posts, just because it's so different, but I don't think the way she posts is bad. I just don't appreciate being jumped on for simply asking for clarification of her post. I didn't call her an idiot or call her stupid, just asked that she put the words in a sentence so that I could understand what she was trying to say. Maybe it's just me, but I don't think that was out of line or rude. If someone couldn't understand what I was attempting to say, I would hope they'd ask me for clarification, instead of ignoring me entirely.
  6. And by the way, am I supposed to avoid all threads that my friends have posted to, if I happen to agree with what they've posted? That would sure cut down the number of threads I'd be allowed to post to. Am I supposed to ignore the posts attacking them, just because I happen to be their friend, and it would look like a "gang attack" if I posted to support them? Please, tell me what I am supposed to do, since I didn't know it was illegal to have friends and actually support those friends when I agree with them. We all better look out, I guess, since it's now apparently against the rules to make more than one post supporting a particular person's POV, unless you want to look like you're following them around and "ganging up" on the people that disagree with him/her.
  7. Hey, not fair at all. For the record, I did try to ignore her posts and not reply to them. Know what I got in return? "Why aren't you answering my question?" I don't give a flying you-know-what if something is grammatically correct or not. How many posts have you seen me going after because of grammar and spelling? I do ask that someone's replies to me be actual replies, though. I don't give a damn whether it's written in haiku or if every word is misspelled, if I can tell what the intent of the reply is. I don't care if someone "takes the time to be perfect" because I sure don't take that time. And again, for the record, I never said anything about "people agreeing with my ideas over hers." I said that I PMed several people to ask if they could understand what she was trying to say, since I didn't want to come right out and ask her on the board. Her ideas versus my ideas never came into it at all, since no one could figure out what her ideas were. That was the ONLY reason I asked her to clarify. If I could have figured out what she was saying, I would have. I only replied to her because I thought it would be rude to completely ignore a reply that was specifically aimed at me. And my reply to her wasn't even rude, for Pete's sake. Here it is: My POV is this: If someone takes part in an online debate, they better be prepared for people to ask them for clarification of their posts, if for no other reason than the inability of the written word to convey body language, voice tone, and intent.
  8. I wouldn't be at all surprised if she's mentally ill. Between that and her alleged drug/alcohol use, I'm surprised she's alive right now. I think she grew up being surrounded by a lot of "yes-men," with little to no adult guidance. I see a lot of people saying, "if only her mother were here," but I doubt that would help. Her mother should have been there ten years ago, teaching her how to be a responsible adult. I think she's been indulged by just about every person in her life and I think it's finally gotten to the point of her not knowing how to be an adult out on her own.
  9. My dad tried to learn to play the piano about ten years ago. At the time, we had an antique piano that we had inherited from my grandmother. Of course, it hadn't been tuned in years. THAT was horrible. Between his playing and the piano being out of tune, it was MISERABLE.
  10. Yeah, mine aren't nearly that bad, but they are definitely purple/red and raised.
  11. Oh, man.:twitch:
  12. I don't really know what to say, other than posting this:
  13. I think I'll stick with my musical neighbor, thanks. :heh:
  14. Ugh, too, not two.
  15. This brings up another one for me. I naturally have double vision. My mom has it two, so I blame her. I can't get any eye doctor to help me fix it, though. I tell them about it, and they don't do anything. It's very frustrating. I can't wear any type of glasses or sunglasses because of it, because the frames screw me up even more. Well, I can wear them when I drive, but not when I'm out of the car. I keep walking into things.
  16. Oh, don't get me started on that subject. My mom waited until she literally couldn't walk more than 5-10 steps at a time before she got both of her knees replaced. I kept wondering if she thought they were just magically going to get better. As it is, she waited so long that I think she did lasting damage to the muscles, tendons, and ligaments, plus she disfigured her feet from the way she walked back then.
  17. I had two fills before I had much restriction at all, and it took 3 to get to the point I'm at now. Don't be disappointed, many people don't get much restriction after only one fill. I sure didn't.
  18. What gets me are the people that chose RNY because they would have had a foreign object in their body if they had chosen the band. Derr, what do they call all those little staples?
  19. Well, apparently, I have hypertrophic scarring, then. Mine are purple and a little raised. My doctor didn't say anything about the scarring, though.
  20. Luckily, I have not experienced this yet. Hopefully (knock on wood), I will never experience it. I've gotten something semi-stuck occasionally (not recently, though), and had to wait in pain until it went down, and I've learned the hard way why it's a bad idea to eat and drink at the same time (boy, I'll never do that again), but I haven't PBed yet.
  21. Ditto. I was ADDICTED to bread pre-band. I haven't had it since I got decent restriction. And I really haven't missed it, either. Once you realize that what you are craving WILL cause you pain, you don't want it that badly anymore. And like you said, I'd much rather be thin than ever eat bread again.

    Thanks very much!
  23. Oh, I despise it. It drives me up the freakin' wall, along with anyone who is sleeping in the bed with me, since I have to keep turning over. It also makes having head colds really pleasant, since I can't find any comfortable position and have to toss and turn even more.
  24. Wow. Some people really do amaze me. I've always had excess mucus. Doesn't matter what time of year it is or if I've been taking allergy or sinus meds, I've got it. I usually have to keep turning from side to side at night because I get so stuffed up that I can't breathe through one side of my nose. I personally think it's a genetic thing, since my mom has always been the same way. Although, meds with Guaifenesin (sp?) REALLY help, because it thins it enough that it drains easily. TMI, I know.
