Tonight at dinner I am going to tell the kids. In very simple terms. I am a nurse so I can get very technical, so I need to remind my self to be simple. Just that I am going to have owies, and that they need to be gentil with me. The dogs are going to be tough. Jedi is a jumper, and Tika, is going to be very lost with out me around. I am getting nervous. 1 week from tomorrow I will going for my pre op and then, 1 week from thursday it will be a week out from surgery. Keri

yah it totally sucks that we are being banded on my favorite holiday!! I love making the turkey.......the smells the flavors..... Oh I just remembered I have turkey broth!! They make stock from turkey... so look for that all! We can endulge on that. Keri

Well, I think that might work, but I am thinking about the incisions I am going to have, and if that they are rough around me.... Plus they are going to see me not eat with them for a bit. I know the little ones will understand me not being around overnight and they will understand me just hanging with friends. But the boys aren't that nieve. LOL Spencer is quite smart for is age. And i am starting to get nervous..... Not that I wasn't before.....but it is getting closer! I am ready... got my stuff. How do I prepare the kids? I am not sure what to say to them, and how to explain it. They are 8 and 5 years old. I know some will be scared and the others won't be phased. I have 2 sets of twins, so incase you are wondering. Hello all I am Keri......I am 31 and mom to 2 sets of twins. I am Proud Army wife to Darian. We have been Married almost 10 years. I have been fighting with my weight since the day I hit puberty. It is constantly on my mind and I had enough fighting with my weight! I am having my surgery in 16 days. I am scared and very nervous, but excited! I am in the south, and hope to be able to enjoy the mild winters here and walk alot more after my surgery! Keri

Its a great feeling knowing that you have a date isn't it. I think i breathed a sigh of relief when I got my date... Congrats and here to losing weight!! Keri

hey all I am Keri. I am 31 mom to 4 amazing kids, and wife to Darian who is a soldier. I am being banded on the 20th of nov. I have a 2 day pre op diet. clear liquids for 2 whole days, and a milk of magnisia chaser on the 2nd day! Tomorrow I am going to start eating soft foods only Keri

I didn't have to do the 6 month diet. I did the psych eval, Dietician, pulmonary, and details of my past dieting, and got the approval in 4 days maybe! Good luck Keri

I am in Georgia, I am going to Dr Steinberg in Decatur. He is wonderful, and isn't pushy on one procedure or other. I knew what I wanted and he agree with me. I would def go with a doctor who is going to allow you to be agreed with what you want done. Listen to the reasons as to why one verses the other. Hope that helped keri

Hey all I am Keri 31 years old I have 2 sets of twins. Logan and Spencer are 8 Cade and Lara just turned 5 yesterday I have been heavy since the day I hit puberty. I was always told I have a pretty face, and would be beautiful if I would diet and loose weight. After being heavy all my life I was able to loose some weight but hit a platue about 230's I talked to my Doc and he said give it a few more months and then we would talk about other options. And so, here I am today...... the best option, lapband! I am excited scared nervous, and ready! Keri

thanks Mindy, I know its Close..... oh I can feel it. I am truely thinking about what I am going to look like a year from now. As I just found out my lil brother is going to propose to his girlfriend, so I want to look healthy and if I am asked to be in the wedding party, I want it not to look the big one in the dress.
