I completely understand. I had a mini-meltdown during the first day of my clear liquid diet. I was basically saying goodbye to food as I knew it. I was grieving my eating habits. I, personally, still have an addiction to food. Food has always been a constant in my life. When there was nobody to lean on, food always had my back. But, that's trauma speaking. I'm planning on going to a Food Addicts Anonymous session. There's also Overeaters Anonymous. I believe they both have websites. I suggest looking into resources like this that are free. I wanted to get therapy at one point - however, these sessions are free! They also host their sessions in-person, and via Zoom. I went to Half Price Books and bought the official Food Addicts Anonymous book. I am going to be attending one of their Zoom sessions to see if it helps. This chapter in my life is not just physical. It's mental, too. That's why I'm trying to heal both <3 I know you can overcome this obstacle. :)
