Not knowing my size when I go shopping
Picking things way too big for my current body
Thinking I'm going to stay the same size long enough to buy something on the pricier side without regretting it
I'm still actively losing at only 3 months out and my body has already changed drastically, while some of the changes excite me some are making me even more self-conscious than when I was at my heaviest. Body dysmorphia is real.

I have a surgery date 10/18/2023!!

Im on the Pre-op diet now, surgery date is 10/20. Getting nervous, and excited!!

I had the fundoplication back in 2005, it failed and created a ton of scartissue and other issues, the major hernia with the portion of my stomach that was originally under the wrap herniating into my chest because the fundoplication has been slowly moving down for the last two years, making the gerd unbearable and having bouts of cyclical vomiting that didn't stop without hospital intervention. They offered to do the RNY at the time and I was 170lbs so I didn't think it was a good idea and I passed. Man..... if I would have known....

Thank you everyone! The coolest part about the whole experience, despite being tired and hurting, I felt so thankful and fortunate to be there Three years ago I would have scoffed at the idea of doing something like this or made a self deprecating joke to hide the fact that I thought it never would have been possible.

You should be proud and you have the right to do a little bragging too!

Who knew 3 years ago that on September 24, 2023, I’d be crossing the finish line after 12 hours, 33 minutes and 38 seconds of hard work in the Chattanooga Ironman! Since February 5, 2021 I have stayed focused, followed the plan, and worked hard to lose a 160lbs. And those decisions are got me here!

I share this not to brag or seek attention, but to show others who have questions or doubts of what is possible! If you have or are considering proceeding with bariatric surgery, go into it with the decision and desire to live life differently moving forward! The old way doesn’t work for us wired the way we are! You have to want to do better and be better for this to work! The surgery is a tool for change! It’s going to be difficult, you’re going to face temptation, you’re going to tip toe back in the old life… but discipline, consistency and effort is the way forward! You deserve it! But you also deserve to give your self grace when mistakes are made along the way! But know that one poor choice doesn’t define your path forward, it’s just about trying to make a better decision the next time. Ok, off my soapbox…

It's my first day of purees. I just blitzed 4 mini Italian style meatballs with 1/4 cup of Tomato basil past sauce and 1/6 cup of shredded skim mozzarella, and it's entirely possible that it was the best thing I've ever eaten in my life.
220 cal, 13g Protein, 15g fat, 8g carbs

I had my procedure on 9/29/23. It went well. I stayed 2 nites because I couldn't get the liquids in. I am struggling a lil bit to get liquids in now that im home. However I can be creative with my liquids compared to in the hospital. Im optimistic I can do this. Just throwing my vanilla Protein Shake in the blender for 30 seconds gives it a different taste! I'm happy we are all here and I know we can do this!!

One year ago today, at 2:00pm, I had my initial phone interview from my bariatric program. I had enough and took the step.
I was always dead-set against surgery and prayed daily for God to help me. I awoke one day at peace on the surgery and made the call. I weighed 329lbs.
ONE. YEAR. TO. THE. DAY I wake to this blessing! 199.8 on the scale.

God works in mysterious ways but, in this case, no mystery...just Gods Grace!
Oct 1 will be 7 months to the day of my surgery

Hello! It's amazing. I didn't know there were so many ladies here who have piercings) Now I want to do it even more😁

I got the clearance from the surgeon after he looked at my CT scan! We're good to go for the sleeve!

tragus piercings look so great but they're almost impossible to change jewelry yourself because of the angle. And then one of mine was crooked that made it even worse. So I took mine out

WEll, I did it! I reached a goal. my goal was 179 from 229 and i'm now 178.4!

Also started on regular diet.
