  1. I've heard this before I may try it...thanks
  2. I can't remember if we have a thread discussing this or not but I've been wondering about putting something on my scars now that we've got a few months behind us. But then again I'm having gallbladder surgery and they said that other than the port incsion they will probably use the same ones they made when I got my band..anyway Is anybody doing anything to minimize their scars?
  3. RM you, and the rest of the ladies, are welcome anywhere as far as I'm concerned....sorry ladies if I was miss understood.... RM always provide great insight and a lot of information. I really miss the homepage that had random post or new threads whatever it was I usually saw your post form there.
  4. Imagine the threads in the Powder Room......
  5. One of my coworkers told me today I need new pants my butt was gone......funny I've never had much of a behind I guess with my weight loss it shows more.
  6. Well I'm on the other side of the 200's....... did I say that right...... Anyway I'm at 249 today....
  7. Rough week lots of overtime but I did lose put me down for 251. Around this weight is when I used to say OMG I'm getting fat need to lose weight.
  8. That's AWESOME.......
  9. Sweet hubby did you give him a big hug?
  10. I love those too, I get a shot of espresso in it when I get one. I've ordered the Skinny Latte the last couple times. This was arough weekend I hope it doesn't reflect in the scale.
  11. You are doing nothing wrong!!!!! Our expected loss is .5 to 1 pound a week more than that is gravy...mmmm gravy with biscuts...ooops sorry "SQUIRREL!". Seriously though if not all most of us have been able to lose several pounds quickly but we didn't stick with it. I have to keep reminding my self that I'm the tortise(sp) in this race. Losing several pounds between weigh ins is great but the band will help me stick to a program for longer than a few weeks or months but longterm. Follow the rules as best as you can try to get exercise and when you look back in a year you can say I lost.
  12. I'm at 253 today 7/31. I still good restriction from my fill but sometimes getting the munchies. I need to get back to at least walking and try to go beyond that to get some muscle building in also. WOW August 1 tomorrow did July gone fast or what?
  13. That is a good NSV congratulations.
  14. It's been way to long since we posted in this thread. Today I was on another floor for a meeting and stopped by to say hi to the part of our group that work down there. ONe of the supervisors came up to me and told me my pants were getting baggy. I quickly appoligized, she laughed and said that she was complimenting me.... After lunch today I a person from the department next to us came over and commented on how much she thought my face has thinned.
  15. I glad to report a 1lb loss I'm at 255 this week and feeling some restriction. I went back on solid food Wednesday night, I've been on liquids due to recent fill, yesterdays lunch stayed with me till about 8pm. Next fill under fluro on 8/25 anyone had a fill this way?
  16. Last weekend I had issues with lettuce it cause more issues than what I would consider solid foods.
  17. I was banded on 4/10 and I've had 2 fills for a total of 5cc's. Fills: 1st - 5/19/09 3cc's 267, 2nd 7/14/09 2cc's 258
  18. Thanks! Do like I did get a fill right before you go; that way if you go off track you get stuck, slim and spend half an hour in the bathroom....back to soup, grits, oatmeal and protein drinks for me......no crabcakes in Baltimore :cursing: but I'm going to have fun anyway.
  19. Put me down for 256 this week.
  20. I got my second fill yesterday and I'm at 5cc's I have to get my next one under fluro because the Dr. had trouble getting into my port.
  21. I think I was bad this morning....I don't stop often.... Got a fatfree Chai with a shot of espresso but it must have sugar in it cause it was so good
  22. Caught the end of Oprah today, rerun I think, they mentioned when taking calcium you have to take magnisem (sp) if you don't this can/will happen...
  23. Well first of all I have to make a couple of points. 1. My Dr is known for his lack of bedside manner 2. I don’t count my weight on surgery day because I had and over night cleans a. 288 the night before surgery b. 282, I think, the day of surgery That being said…….. The nurse said that I’m right on track. I commented how frustrating the 1 pound loss every other week is. For band patients they plan for 3 years to reach goal. The Dr commented that I’d lost 22lbs in 3 months and a few days, I kind of broke in and commented that I don’t feel surgery date weight is a good one because of the cleans. He then went to my post fill instructions…. In short not upset not ecstatic……. Now the fill….. I got 2cc the Dr had problems getting in the port finally did but wants to do my next fill under fluoroscope. What made me happy was I weighed 258 this morning in my sleeping shorts. The Dr's office weighs higher than my home scale but when I got there I weighed 258 that made me happy.
  24. This thread made me curious so I stopped by Dick's Sporting Goods today and looked at them not sure how much the shirt would push the lumps in. The sleeveless were 24.99 and the long sleeve were 34.99 they didn't have short sleeve. Cheaper than slimming shirts I've seen advertised on TV.
