  4. heyy i start mine tomorrow. the protein shake im using is what my nurtitionist gave me and its called HMR 800. she also gave me some recipies for the shakes so they wont be so boring. 2 for chocolate and 2 for vanilla. maybe you can get the same protein shake that im using? im not getting banded august 4th but i am getting banded july 31st (: good luck :bored:
  5. haha, yeah i know right (: i wish i fixed it a long time ago, i felt like i wasted my teenage years being obese, too. yeah i totally agree. thank you so much!!
  6. good job everyone (: yes the slim fast isnt good, my doctor has their own protein shakes that he wants me to use and they are called HMR 800-low fat-rich in protein-excellent source of calcium-it says on packet and you get vitamin/mineral supplement pills with it you take every day you get 8 per box and 18 protein shake packets per box, 170 cals for vanilla 16g of protein per packet. the shakes dont bother me cause im so use to them. i am so excited too, i cant wait to see the looks on peoples faces when they see me in september :wink2: MoxieDO-thats awesome you lost 19lbs i hope i can lose between 14-20lbs before surgery, that'll be great  july 31st is my surgery date good luck everyone (:
  7. thanks, i will keep that in mind and i will do it (: i do want it bad enough, vaccuming makes me sweat too and i just do my room O.o, and cleaning my room too. :wink2:
  8. heyy, im not banded (july 31st) yet but dont be too nervous (i am too but my nervousness went down a bit) this is going to be my first real surgery i mean i had my wisdom teeth out but this is a bigger surgery, am excited =D any chewable or liquid multivitamin and calcium but i dont think those come in liquid. ask your doc what kinds are the best cause i need to do the same (: i am kind of nervous taking any too but i know chewable are what to take, just make sure you chew them thoroughly sorry if im not much help =/ good luck (:
  9. i will make sure i dont make exercising overwhelming im just affraid i wont succeed i want a gym membership, i think that would help alot but i cant afford it ): thats what im affraid of, is quiting
  10. ooh, mine is 9 days and i start it on tuesday or wednesday, i have a phone interview tomorrow so i will ask which day i need to start it. yeah the nurse told us not to do that lol(eating whatever we want beofre surgery) i think the nurse told us to have the shakes 4 times a day so ill deffinately ask. thats awesome you lost 14 pounds, i hope i can lose close to that (: i lost 12 but did lost 15, july 8th i found out i gained 3 back and it upsetted me =/ but i hope i can lose quite a bit before surgery and im getting the Water going today, i hate water but not when its icy cold so much better (: did you exercise during the pre-op diet? i think im going to get in as much exercise as i can good luck to you too :wink2:
  11. i fear that so much, im trying to stay positive. sometimes i just want to cancel it but i really dont want to cancel it, i want to lose weight now and get healthier and more energy, i tried losing weight before and it didnt work for me =/. this website helps a lotttt. the support everybody gives you is really great and a few people on here have the same fear but having them tell you you'll be fine and dont let your nerves get to you. get in control of your nerves . the more i talk about this makes me feel better and someone at the pre-op class had the same fear, and having the nurse talk to you about it makes me feel a lot less stressed or worried and yes everything will be okay. think about all the things you'll be able to do after surgery when youre healed up(thats what keeps me going, i know this is going to work, makes me excited!) write a list of the things you want to do to keep you going on with the process  good luck to you too <3 erin
  12. i was told to start at 30-40 and work my way up. im not that active and it so sucks! but ive been walking for 35-45 mins on treadmil and i rather walk outside so im going to start doing that, i play the wii fit as much as i can and i want to start playing my Dance Dance Revolution game again. id go swimming but its so darn cold out lately >.<, like playing frisbee and catch and horseshoes, and i feel good when i do the biggest loser work out. i cant wait to get more energy, i really need it  yeah i sit around a lot too and im young i should be out hanging with me bff but shes always with her "fiance" and barely talks anymore *shrugs* but i should deffinately be out having fun more than just sitting around. so i just sleep or complain how bored i am. hmm im deffinately going to get out of that...okay ill shut up now (:
  13. oh wait, i do have a schedual but it still maybe too much, but this is what it is Sunday: 60mins of activity and stretching. Monday: Endurance/Aerobic and 60 mins of activity Tuesday: Strength/Resistance amd 60mins of activity Wednesday: Endurance/Aerobic and 60mins of activity and stretching Thursday: Strength/Resistance and 60mins of activity Friday: Endurance/Aerobic and 60mins of activity Saturday: 60mins of activity and stretching and increase it slowly but for some reason it doesnt seem like enough but i know it is
  14. hmm, i was told to walk, i didnt talk to him about my plan, i just came up with it today but i will talk to him about it i just hope i can go to bed early enough to get up an extra hour early. i would ride my bike to school yet its a 15-20 min drive to just get there bus/car =/ i think thats what i have to do is talk to my doc about a exercising schedual for next month and for the rest of the school year i just want to make sure i succeed, i dont wanna feel like i failed but thanks (: i will deffinately talk to my doctor about a exercising schedual or about mine
  15. Sorry for posting a lot of threads, its just i dont know im paranoid?.i dont know, i wanted to delete the 9 day pre-op diet one i made but i dont know how, but i made a schedual and i want to know if it sounds alright... 1st week and a half: 8am-breakfast 9am-stretch, go for a 20 min walk, drink water 9:35am-drink more water 10am- use resistance band(use 2-3 times a week), do all moves (20 mins) 10:25am-drink water 10:35-walk for another 20 mins, drink water 11am-Lunges 12 reps(if i can do it, 2-3 times a week) 11:20am-drink water 12pm-lunch 12:35pm-walk for 20 mins, drink water 1pm-stretch 1:10pm-drink water 1:20pm-walk up and down stairs for 15 mins(slowly) 1:35pm-drink water 4pm-dinner 7pm-snack every other day ill do strength/ resistance and ill do aerobic/endurance everyday -i dont know what to do between 1:35 to 4pm and 4pm-7pm during the first two weeks and a half? after 1st week and a half to end of august: 8am-breakfast 9am-stretch, walk for 20 mins then do biggest loser workout(DVD), drink lots of water, stretch 10am-drink more water 10:35am-play tennis ball soccer thing(where you get three things with tennis balls on each end of a string, there are 3 red and 3 blue) or play frisbee 11am- drink water 11:30am-walk up and down stairs for 30 mins drink water, stretch 12pm-lunch 12:35pm- DDR for 30 mins, drink water 1:10pm- play some more frisbee or ride bike around yard 2:10pm- drink water, go swimming if not too cold out 3:10pm- drink water, go for a 30 min walk 3:45pm drink water, play the teather ball thing for 20 mins 4:10pm dinner 4:45pm-drink water 5:15pm- play some basketball/volleyball/horseshoes/catch/bad mitten or whatever else i find to do for 30 mins 5:45pm-drink water 7pm- snack this is for mondays(strength/resistance) , wednesdays(strength/resistance), fridays(strength/resistance) and sundays(strength/resistance). for tuesdays, thursdays and saturdays i will do exercise moves from 17mag instead of the biggest loser workout, play the wii fit instead of DDR its going to be hard when school starts up again and it kind of scares me because what am i going to do if im use to that schedual? (im a highschool senior, like i said i did not fail) school starts at 7:28am and ends at 2:08pm but im going to CV-Tec(explained in one of my other threads) and i wont be home til 3:10pm or 3:15 pm i get up at 5am and usually eat breakfast around 5:15 and get ready at 6 and takes 30mins to get ready. dont have a car yet so i cant leave, i have to wait for the bus which i get picked up at 6:50-7am. only have gym every other day each classes are 45mins long and there are 10 periods(10th is extra help) i only get 6 periods because of cv-tec and i dont have a lunch period but i can eat 6th period. i want to have a second job but im not going to get one til i get closer to my goal. i work mondays and thursdays but its not bad because i dont really have a boss i guess you can say, i clean a church(not fun but hey its money) for 3-4 hours...can you help me with a schedual for school please? i hope i dont mess up and be lazy, i fear that  thanks for helping (: and once again sorry for posting so many threads =/
  16. awesome (: i do plan on taking measurements, i dont think ill be weighing myself at home because i cant trust my scales, so the measurements will deffinately tell me im losing ill just wait til i go for fills or check ups to get weighed
  17. How much did you guys lose those 9 days? What did you do for the exercising? Im getting bored of the treadmil so i think im going to walk out side, what else can i do thats fun? The protein shakes aren't a big deal to me I've had protein shakes when I was on a diet at 15 yrs old, I actually like them, but only the vanilla ones, how many times a day am I supposed to have the shakes? 4? Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and an hour before 8pm? I start mine on the 22nd,Thanks for your help(:
  18. thanks everyone, i hope i'm out of the hospital that day so i wont have to have all the stuff but i'll have it in case. the soap is to use the night before surgery(i think from your chest down where your belly ends) and the second pack is for after surgery, its antibacterial/antimicrobial skin cleanser to help prevent infection, oh and they told me to bring shampoo when i take a shower there before i leave or if im staying the night, ill keep the gas-x in mind! thanks! =D
  19. at the hospital im getting my surgery at, i might not be staying over night so im bringing an overnight bag just in case. i would have bring a few things people listed in case (: can you call them? i would (:
  20. I don't think this is the right section to put this in, but what should I bring with me on surgery day I know there is a thread about this but I can't find them. I know I should bring all my papers they gave me, the breathing tube that helps you cough and the antibacterial soap they gave me, shampoo, toothpaste and tooth brush iPod and my phone, chapstick and fav pillow is there anything else that I'll need?
  21. haha good good, =D if you don't lose all the weight you are required to would be something i'd ask them about, i think they'll go on with the surgery but i'd still ask (: oh man i hate when that happens haha
  22. not banded yet, july 31st is the surgery date but i just want to know ahead of time, i want to know some endurance and some aerobic exercises for inside and outside. and some strength and some resitance. sorry if this is a stupid thread but thanks =]
  23. haha, you know how pre-k is? well i had pre-first and its kind of like that. i think ive answered my own question, i found a sample of a meal plan for full liquid diet and pureed diet.
