  6. I am and always have been very picky. None of the shakes Ive tried taste good to me. I'm not a fan of the aftertaste most diet foods have.
  7. i went to Olive Garden, ordered Ravioli Carbonara and a coke. Of course salad and I had breadsticks. Day two and I'm hungry and nauseous. I have these gross protein meals to eat but I'd rather diet with grilled chicken and some veggies.
  8. 2 weeks and 6 days. I've started my preop diet by going to see a movie and smelling popcorn instead of eating it. That was hard!
  9. After dealing with switching from self pa to insurance, My surgery has been approved. I am very excited! Anyone else getting their's in June?
  10. Ok I just heard back from the office today. My insurance has approved me for surgery! yay!
  11. Hello! I have one final appointment on March 16 before the auth request can be sent to my insurance. Looks like the hospital is scheduling out to the end of April. I hope to have a surgery date within the next month or so.
  12. I just finished another virtual dietary appointment. I have to do one more in office appointment before they can to send the prior Auth to my insurance. I will not be having surgery on the 27th. That much is true, so I can stop the protein crap I've been eating and do a regular diet with real food. I just had an egg for lunch and I almost cried
  13. I just heard back from the office. I have to do two more supervised diets, meet a nutirtionist again before they can submit a prw auth. my surgery will be pushed back to March, maybe later.?
  14. I thought my insurance was covering the sleeve, but since i was originally going to get the balloon, they still thought I was self pa after giving them my info they did not clarify with me! Self pay, the balloon would be $6900, BUT THE SLEEEVE IS OVER $13OOO SO NOW I'M WAITING ON APPROVAL. wHwhile MY SURGERY IS SCEDULED FOR the 27th, but it may need to be moved out further. ?
  15. Have you asked your doc about meds to help your anxiety? With the pre op diet my doctor put me on, it makes me wonder if a liquid diet would have been better. He has his patients eat items from https://protifoods.com/. most make me nauseous. I have two more weeks of it to go. My first weigh in is tomorrow.
  16. Im scheduled for the 27th and struggling on my 3week preop diet. My surgeon has us eat food from a company called Proti and the soups make me sick to my stomach. I just want a salty crunch, but I can't eat those without feeling sick. This is a very low cal diet, but I had been hoping for this to be a diet of real food at least. Lots of veggies, etc.
  17. Mine is three weeks of shakes, snacks, and entrees that taste awful. Most of it makes me sick to my stomach.
