Sometimes life throws crap at us & we can only make the best choices we can at that time within the limits we are trapped in. Congratulations on having the right attitude to mange the situation & continue moving forward when life settles again. Hope your mum is doing better. (Why do hospitals have the most unhealthy food choices?)
Like @ms.sss, I’m a bit further along at almost 4 years (3yrs 11 months exactly today). I exceeded my goal & have pretty much maintained since. For a year I fluctuated between 48.5-49.5kg. Then I gained and fluctuated between 50.5-50.9kg. We discovered my HRT wasn’t being absorbed after my gall was removed so went on a patch & I lost a lot of that small gain without changing anything I was doing. I now fluctuate between 49.5-50kg (109/110lbs). Still careful with what I eat but I made changes to how I eat that are sustainable. But not so inflexible that I won’t have the odd treat or can’t work around a situation/circumstance. Never feel I’m missing out. Still watch portions, keep track of Protein & keep my fluids up. And no I don’t really exercise. Some stretches & resistance bands four times a day (exercise snacking) for a total of about 25 minutes. I do it mainly for my back & for a little toning & flexibility.
Congratulations everyone on your progress so far & your successes.

Want to loose weight? Nah, I don't think anyone here on a board about weight loss surgery is interested in loosing weight. Nice try!

Glad you are doing well and feeling great!
I'm jealous you kept your boobage. Mine seem to be deflating at a record pace. I'm only 3.5 months out and I think 20% of my total weight loss is hair and boobs. lol

CK77 reacted to SirKat in February 2023 surgery dates!
I’m just over 4 weeks post op. I’m not tracking either, but I’ve started getting into a rhythm.
Protein Shake for Breakfast
cheese for snack
lunch (varies - today was some corned beef hash)
protein shake for afternoon snack
dinner (today was like 1/2 a taco)
and I might have a protein-y snack like these protein Cookies by hold da sugar.
my main goal is to get over 60 g of protein and a similar amount in oz of Water. I can’t eat very much at a time but I am getting hungry frequently so I’m trying to listen to my body about that.

CK77 got a reaction from lexylynn92 in PCOS and hormone struggles
I have Pcos as well. Now, I was told this surgery may eliminate the pcos all together. I am 4 weeks post Op from the sleeve. Now, the good thing is doing this we cut all that bad stuff out of our diet. So, my advice is to just follow the surgeons message and wait. Trust me I am too. But, this will work its proven too. We got this!

I am about 3 weeks post Op. I had the robotic sleeve. My incisions are small and I have had no problem with pain or anything. They are close to be fully healed.

CK77 reacted to Lisa XO in Horrible Constipation
TMI, but I nearly passed out in the shower (not on) when attempting to use an enema. I was in so much pain. Enema didn't work and went the manual route, which was a big relief. Hurt for a few days after but all better after a week. I try to really keep on top of my liquids, too. Constipation is awful. Hope you feel better soon!

CK77 reacted to catwoman7 in Horrible Constipation
unfortunately, chronic Constipation is an issue for a lot of us (with others, it goes away after they can start eating more fibrous foods like fruits and vegetables). I'm one of the former. I take a capful of Miralax every morning (and have for years), and for the most part, that keeps it at bay. But I still have issues maybe once a month. When that happens, a night or two of milk of magesia usually solves the problem. Oh - and like someone above said, I also take a magnesium tablet every day. That probably helps with keeping it at bay, too (those tablets are usually 250-400 mg. A shot of milk of magnesia is probably 5x that (or maybe more - I'd have to look at the bottle) - so magnesium is definitely a known "de-plugger". But the amount in a typical tablet is OK for every day use, and it helps with preventing it - I wouldn't do milk of magnesia as a daily prevention method - it's too strong - but for those times when you're already severely backed up - it does the trick - at least for me)

CK77 reacted to Victoria_Faith in Protein Coffee is a GAME CHANGER
I started following a VSG/WLS influencer on Instagram and decided to try her recipe for Protein coffee.
My life is forever changed.
16 oz - Cold Brew Decaf
1 x 11.5 oz bottle of Premier Protein Caramel Protein Shake
2 Splashes of Jordan's Skinny Syrup - Salted Caramel
This helps me to not miss my lattes and frappes! If you're like me and live under a rock and haven't made a protein coffee (and you like coffee) - you need this in your life!

Recovery is going okay. No nausea or dizziness thankfully. Managed to get 33 ounces of Clear Liquids in yesterday. I am post Op day 5. Struggling with Protein only because after 2 ounces I am stuffed. My taste hasn't changed so far Everything I tried sits well. Also. I can drink any temperature. So hopeful
