  1. We didn't use any predictors...we just had sex often lol...more fun that way
  2. It's probably from the surgery. lol. Did you get Gas-X Strips? Those really helped me after surgery...It gets better as you heal. Just give it time
  3. All I can think of is maybe it's something else...really a burp is just air and shouldn't be able to get stuck...maybe it's reflux or something? I hope you figure it out and it gets better real soon though!
  4. Seriously I have found that some of the more sensitive pregnancy tests come from dollar tree/dollar stores. I like pink ink tests the best because you have a low chance of seeing an evap line!
  5. Good luck! My fingers are crossed for you! In the meantime have fun trying lol.
  6. I haven't really had much discomfort, but let me say this. I am 26 weeks pregnant and my baby kicked me the other day right at my port and it sucked! lol
  7. Personally I would get emptied. I'm 26 weeks pregnant and I have already been emptied and I have lost 20 pounds since finding out I was pregnant. Having you band loosened or emptied doesn't mean your going to gain weight! Just don't go on a bender and get crazy lol. However, you have to do what is healthy for you as well. Yes breast milk is best for your baby that doesn't mean it's your babies only hope...there is nothing wrong with formula. With my son he has a g-tube and I was never able to breast feed him, but I did pump for 6 1/2 months but I also had to add formula to my breast milk to give him the right amount of calories. You have to be healthy for you and for your baby! Don't feel pressured to breastfeed...it's okay if you have to stop. It doesn't make you any less of a woman just like breast feeding doesn't make you a better mother!
  8. I had been on the pill for a little over 10 years. I came off the pill July 2006 and found out I was pregnant August 2006 (Before surgery) I was 214 when I got pregnant. Then I went back on the pill and off it April 2009. Found out I was pregnant May 2009 at 195 then I miscarried a week later. I gained weight tried again June 2009 and found out I was pregnant July 2009 at 207 pounds. I am 5'3''. My husband likes to joke that he has super sperm lol. I know that it isn't easy for everyone to get pregnant right away so don't get discouraged...just have fun trying  Also my doctor had me start folic acid before trying or you could start prenatals before trying. It's good for you and for the baby you will conceive! Don't look at it like it's work...have fun. Try new things, have sex often and just enjoy it!!! I'm around if you ever need to chat or have any questions!!! Good luck and have FUN!!!
  9. I know that times are tough and I'm sorry. I have lost 20 pounds since learning I was pregnant. I'm 26 weeks now and still doing well. Just because your pregnant doesn't mean you have to stop exercising or that you have to blow up like a christmas float! I have had an abortion...I do not regret it and I never will, but mine was done for a different reason. There are options you just have to make sure you do what is right for you. Please do not let anyone pressure you into doing something that you don't feel is right for you! I am always around if you need to talk. I know I'm young, but trust me I have been through a lot and I have overcome! You can ask me anything and you can talk to me about anything and not have a fear of being judged. It'll be okay hun...
  10. Go to dollar tree and get a pregnancy test...they work really well and are actually pretty sensitive to HCG! MY AF didn't change after surgery. I was on bc though....then I stopped and were pregnant within a month...good luck. Keep us posted
  11. I had the h1n1 shot and baby and I are fine. Really it's not very different from the regular flu shot. Getting this shot not only protects you it protects your baby now and later in life....don't believe all this hype crap. Come on...some people think that shots given to babies/children cause autism and what not and choose not to get their kids vaccinated and to me that is very sad. I know kids that have autism and a couple of them didn't get shots...the FDA wouldn't allow it to be given to pregnant women at all if it was not safe for the mother or the fetus...
  12. I had been on the pill for a little over 10 years and started trying July 2006 found out we were pregnant by August 2006. Then I had an IUD place then removed and started the pill again. A year after restarting the pill we went off to try again. We started trying April of this year and found out we were pregnant May, unfortunately a few weeks later lost the baby. Started trying again in June and found out we were pregnant in July lol. My husband jokes that he has super sperm lol. Each time before we started trying I went on folic acid! It's good to be on it as soon as possible so while ttc think about taking a prenatal or just folic acid! Good luck and let me know how it's going. I'm around if you ever need to talk!!!
  13. I had trouble eating and around 14-16 weeks got my band completely emptied. I have lost around 20 pounds since learning I was pregnant. I had 6 ccs in my band and now am completely empty and 26 weeks pregnant. I eat carbs, but definately try to go with healthy carbs like whole wheat and what not. Don't let you cravings get out of control though. I find that if I just have a few bites of something I'm craving that I'm okay. Just make sure you don't gain too much, but be healthy for you and baby  Good luck to all of you!!!
  14. No problem! I am always around if you have any questions . I also forgot after the year of "free" fills they're $150 I believe!
  15. How far in advance your surgery is. My surgery was scheduled for like a week after my surgical consult...it was sooo fast!
  16. I went to a seminar. Within a few days I went in to have my consult. I then went in about a week later to have my psych eval and my surgeon consult, scheduled my surgery and within that next month I was having the band placed! I was only on the pre op diet for like 4-5 days! Because I was financed/approved through CareCredit I was able to get everything done fast! It would take longer going through insuarance though.
  17. So far I haven't had any problems. I haven't even needed to get an unfill...I'll probably need one eventually, but for now I'm doing okay! You can also go to nwwls.com they have the surgeons one there and everything. My surgeon was Dr. Chock...she was awesome!
  18. I paid around 16,000. Which includes a year of free fills and appointments. The evals and 2 year fix it guarantee. Which pretty much means if anything happens to the band (erosion, slippage) they will fix it free all I have to pay is the anesthisia (sp). I make payments each month, just like a credit card
  19. I had my surgery at Northwest Weightloss Surgery in Everret, WA. I paid with carecredit. they have online support groups and stuff...also the majority of the people working there have the band as well!
  20. My surgery cost like 16000 + - I make monthly payments of $300.
  21. I just paid for mine out of pocket...well with Care Credit. Good luck to you!!
  22. Yeah. In Oregon it gets even slower!
  23. I missed Cali It's nice to drive on the freeway going 75 with a cop right next to ya :w00t: lol. Also a lot of our main roads have a speed limit of 50 instead of 35
  24. My surgeon recommended I wait a year...I almost made it to a year too lol...My husband and I started trying for baby number 2 in March/April. I was pregnant by May, but had a miscarraige at 5 weeks. Then in July we found out we were pregnant again. This is a very high risk pregnancy, but nothing that happened had ANYTHING to do with the band...if anything the band has helped. I am in my 3rd month and I weigh less then I did when I conceived my son! Good luck in making your decision. I am also 23, but my son is 2 and special needs/disabled
  25. I learned to drive in Cali and a lot of the people in the Tacoma area are military that aren't from here. My husband is set to deploy again next month and we've already been there for 4/5 years. With this high risk pregnancy I'm going to have to stay in Cali with my parents to care for me and my son
