My name in ashley and I have not been banded yet. I am still in the process of researching the facts. I am just wondering how long everybody waited to get pregnant after getting banded?? and how long it was advised that you wait?? I am 23 and have a 9 month old boy and want more. I want to be banded before I try to get pregnant again because of fertility issues that I have. Please let me know of any other difficulties that anybody has experienced with pregnancy and being banded!! Thanks

Hello! I have never been pregnant, but I will say that my doctor strongly recommended that I wait at least 18 months after being banded before getting pregnant.

My surgeon recommended I wait a year...I almost made it to a year too lol...My husband and I started trying for baby number 2 in March/April. I was pregnant by May, but had a miscarraige at 5 weeks. Then in July we found out we were pregnant again. This is a very high risk pregnancy, but nothing that happened had ANYTHING to do with the band...if anything the band has helped. I am in my 3rd month and I weigh less then I did when I conceived my son! Good luck in making your decision. I am also 23, but my son is 2 and special needs/disabled
