How was your pain and recovery after the reduction? Did you have any drains? I really want to have one done, but I'm scared...more so than before I got my band!

Some people don't feel restriction until after 4 or 5 fills...some after the first one...everyone is different

Yeah mine was a little over 16000 with a year of fills and a 2 year protection for the band

Try cutting out that protein shake! One of the top rules of being banded is to stay away from liquid calories...that is exactly what a protein shake is...it just slides right through you! Try changin things up a little. I hope things get better for you!

I heard that it can take anywhere from a week to over a month. I went in to see about a breast reduction (I was a 42J before surgery and I'm 22) and they told me that they wanted me to wait until I get to my goal weight...My boobs have deflated and they look horrible, but I guess I will just have to deal with them until I get to my goal Good luck and let me know how it goes

I applied for CareCredit and that's what I used to pay for mine. You have to check to see if the surgeon you're going to accepts carecredit though. It's like a credit card for health care! I make montly payments and I have the band

I was banded about a year ago. I'm 22 (almost 23) and the mother or a special needs and disabled son. This forum can be very helpful, but sometimes it can be discouraging at the same time. Since it is kind of a support group site there are a lot of people here that are having problems or trouble. I'm always around if you have any questions or anything

It means that you're finally at a fill place that allows you to stay full for at least 3 hours and to lose weight at a good rate. You will know when you are at your spot if you are losing consitently and you are staying full longer and faster! You'll know when you're there...

Did you try looking online? I know they have the light one here in WA, but I haven't looked for the fat free one? I just used regular but in moderation...usually only a thin film of it on my "sandwiches" or a small spoonful to make a dressing

So just because he hasn't been caught doesn't mean he hasn't done it again! You have the power to stop him from hurting another child and CHOOSE not to? How can you be against abortin because it is hurting a baby, but not protect children from being abused (sexually/physically)?

When I was abused/molested/raped each time I did my best to make sure they would never do it again to ANYONE! not just to me!

Like I said IF I was religious and attended church I would be pissed if they even allowed a pedifile to attend. Like I said before it is ILLEGAL for a child molester to go somewhere that kids are (churches, schools, daycares) so the church should have said absolutely not and not sure, but we'll be watchin you...come on...grow a pair and say NO

I DID ask my surgeon. As I said before the water they gave me in recovery they had me drink with a straw! Not all surgeons say no straws. I have had my band for almost a year now and have drank almost all of my drinks with a straw and have had not one problem. Everyone is different, every band is different, and every surgeon has different rules. The only thing they told me to be careful with is no carbonated drinks and to drink slow because sometimes you take bigger/faster sips if you are drinking through a straw, but like I said they allow straws and I have had no problems.

If I was religious and my church ALLOWED a pedifile to attend the church I would leave the church. Pediphiles (legally) are not allowed to be near children at all. I was just saying that it didn't sounds like she had forgiven him.
