  6. wow what a day... first i was suppose to hve surgery at 1045 and didnt get in to the OR until 1pm.. everyone was so nice... i cant complain.. Apparently i started to wake up during the surgery so they had to put me back out. I was shot when i came too... i felt so much pressure in my chest... like i was haivng a heart attack. The gas pains in my chest and up in my shoulders are horrible. I called my surgeon when i got home lastnight because i was so naucious.. he told me not to take the liquid tylenol with codein.. that it might make me sick.. to just take extra strength tylenol. thank goodness i bought it in advane. I just feel alot of pressure. I have five incisions. four small and one bigger one. Glued together. My next appt is in seven days. Liquids for two weeks and then mushies for another two. The hard part is over... thank goodness.. I just need to feel better!!! GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU WITH SURGERIES COMING UP.. i can say .. everyone is different.. my aunt had the surgery on july 28th and it was a walk in the park.. no pain.. nothing!!!
  7. i was banded yesterday on the tenth..and to be honest i thought the same exact thing as you... what did i do?? the gas pains are the worst.. I am in alot of pain today... i really really thought this was going to be so much easier. They say to hang in and it gets easier... we will see... :w00t: good luck to you
  8. and this journey will come to an end...and my new life will begin. The hardest part so far was leaving my kids lastnight with my mom. Its surgery... you always have the worst in the back of your mind. I have a six year old that kept kissing me and my two year old was just too interstested in his new dvd. (im sad to think if something happened he wouldnt even remember me) ANYWAY... lets be in a more postive mood. I hit 50 lbs lost this morning... i had started a low card diet with my husband back in Novemeber. Slowly i am losing the weight.. more than i ever did in my life. So this morning i am 237...and (ONLY) 5ft tall. I lost the weight before the band because i knew i had ALOT to lose. Talk to you all later on today. GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE MONDAY BANDSTERS!!! and tuesdays too!!! Maria
  9. i am sitting here slurping on clear chicken broth... and i cant belive that this time tomorrow i will have started a new life!!! WOW... my husband will be with me.. my kids will be with my mom...and after that.. only my brother and future sister in law know about this. That has me a little worried too. I dont like to lie at all... but when i talked to everyone about this a year ago... i got horrible responses. I tend to have over weight (but beautiful) friends. Honestly i think because i wont be their eating or dieting partner in crime anymore they were worried. I have researched this for two years. Its my time to put hopefully an end to a lifetime struggle. sorry for the rant... Im just a bundle of emotions and nerves right now... WE WILL ALL DO GREAT!!!!
