  1. Viv, thank you for finishing your story. I would have been crying, too!!!! I am glad all is well and that you are healing and recuperating. Mimi
  2. I agree with the other poster's. If you can't even keep liquids down it is not good, dehydration happens fairly quickly. Please post your progress. Mimi
  3. Nope, no wake up issues. The breathing tube is almost always gone by the time you remember waking up. Mimi
  4. Congratulations on being banded. Glad everything went well. Mimi
  5. Happy New Year, Kate. My wish for your NY is that the swelling leaves quickly. Mimi
  6. Happy New Year, Fanny. I hope you are doing well. Mimi
  7. Welcome, Longing. I hope you enjoy this site as much as I do!!!! Mimi
  8. Happy New Year, Allie. Those 4 pounds will come off as fast as they went on!!! Mimi
  9. Well, Viv, I can see why you are posting your experiences, I am eagerly awaiting chapter 2!!!! Good thing you are a survivor!!!!! Mimi
  10. Thanks for the update, Kate. Do you find you get cold easier now? Does that affect your nipples? Can't wait to see new pictures. Mimi
  11. I had to get a defill Dec 15th and have gained 8 pounds, so I feel your pain. I think Teacher07 said something supportive and true......we are still DOWN and it isn't the end of the world, it is a temporary wt gain and a signal for us to dig in and get back on the plan. I can't get an appt for 2 whole weeks, so I am going to try to count calories and increase my treadmill time......and try to be kind to myself and not beat myself up as a failure. Good luck to you, too. Mimi
  12. Congratulations, you have done very very well!!!! Mimi
  13. 1% is a nice compromise. Not as fatty as 2% but not as thin as skim. Mimi
  14. Just do the best you can, you will average out your wt loss when you get restriction. I had to get an unfill 2 wks ago and my next fill isn't til 1-14 so I am struggling, too. Try and keep your calorie count to 1500 and walk as much as possible or exercise as tolerated. I know it feels like a set back, but except for "dieting" there is nothing you can do. Know that you are in good company!!!! Best wishes, Mimi
  15. Congratulations, Elfie. Sounds like you have some good restriction going on!!!! Mimi
  16. I was wondering where she went to, also!!! I miss her posts, too. Mimi
  17. What you are going through is what happened to me and why I don't try soda any more. Like your doc said, I could not burp and it was scary and painful for hours. Good luck, Mimi
  18. Good luck for a speedy approval and OR date!!!!! Mimi
  19. I agree, you are way too tight. That is no way to live. If you got 1cc fill then ask for .25 or .5 unfill. My last unfill was too much (1.125) and I have gained 5 pounds over the holidays. I wish I had only gotten .5, but it is too late to moan....can't get an appt til 1/14 so I will have to try on my own and then make up for lost time. I did enjoy all the Holiday meals with family with no PB or sliming!!! Best wishes, Mimi
  20. Any activity you do will be good. As you gain strength and coordination maybe you will want to go to the gym, but you can get a great work out from what you have listed. As soon as you can, incorporate 2 or 3 pound dumb bells into your work out. Best wishes, Mimi
  21. Allie, thanks for the update, glad you are doing so well. Mimi
  22. Best wishes, Lisa. I agree, if you can see through it it is fair game. Has your surgeon banned all caffeine or just soda? Mimi
  23. Bewbs and arms, but just bewb lift and inherent reduction, not implants. If I decide on implants later I can get them in March when I have my TT. I am way older than you and don't expect bewbs like yours, but it would sure be nice, LOL. Mimi
  24. Just 8 days, Kate. I hope I have not committed to going back to work too soon, I use my arms a lot at work, I write a lot, transcribing and carrying out doctor's orders. I am only taking off 16 days. Thanks for the update on your progress. I hate that you are having that strange feeling in your tummy. You made me laugh with your "intervention" comment!!!!! When will the stitches come out of your arms? Mimi
