I had not been to see a doctor for well over ten years, because I was so embarrassed about my weight, but in May (2009) finally plucked up enough courage and found a lovely doctor who I could talk with about weight loss.  She supported me in me decision to have Lap Band surgery and worked with me on an excise program and on the 6 month documentation of weight loss for my insurance company.   Since May I have lost 33 lbs and now my surgery is just 3 weeks away - 28th Dec.I have been following the post here for some time and have lernt so much from you all - thank you.My good wishes to fellow December bandsters.
