Sick Kid at party

I'm supposed to get together with friends this afternoon and one said her 2 year old son is sick with a fever. I'm 10 days post op. Should I go or stay home?

stay home - you don't need anything else to worry about while adjusting post op

Stay away from sick kids!

If you catch the flu or some other disease kids carry you could end up coughing so hard you tear a stitch or pop a staple.

I would pass. If you get something w/a cough or that could make your tummy queasy, you will be miserable. I got a little dry cough about 5 days post-op and it hurt soooo bad every time I coughed. Luckily, I got over it fast taking extra vitamins and cough syrup.

STAY HOME! You have had surgery recently. You don't need an infection of any kind.
