  1. LOL, you feel what you feel!!! I have had those feelings occassionally and it is strange. I think you are at a good fill and will lose lots of wt....congratulations!!!!! Mimi
  2. Suzanne, make sure you post about your GB!!!! Mimi
  3. Mom, you have a sensitive and reactive stomach like I do. Your swelling will go down and as you lose wt the fat around your stomach under the band will melt and the band will get looser, less restrictive. I have been going through something similar and since I can get fluids dow I decided to ride the wave and lose as much as possible for now. Beware of switching to slider foods, though. Please keep posting about how you are doing. Mimi
  4. Welcome, Alexandra. You have done well and I wish you continued success!!! Mimi
  5. Leigha, don't forget about the "after" burn effect. Muscles are still actively burning calories for a few hours after strenuous exercise. Are you still losing? PS, I enjoy your posts. Mimi
  6. I, too, think it strage that he used the 14cc for you. My docs reserve that size for tall ppl, and you do NOT qualify!!! I do wish you a speedy arrival at restriction. Mimi
  7. Congratulations, Majj!!!!!! Mimi
  8. I think it is possible, but your practice has the final say. Have you called and asked to have it moved to this week? Mimi
  9. WOW, you sure have been through a lot!!!! I hope you have a speedy recovery and that your car does, too!!!! Mimi
  10. I personally do not think it should be covered by the VA. They are overworked and underfunded for basic care as it is. This is only a personal opinion, not a slam against the poster for trying to get a lapband. I think if it is paid for at some VAMC's it should be covered at all of them, and I wish you luck. Mimi
  11. I, too, would like more information because mine protrudes like an alien or golf ball from my right midriff. I grew a lot of scar tissue around it so I don't know where to move it to in case the new smaller one grows a lot of scar tissue, too. Mimi
  12. Supposedly if you swallow it, it can block your pouch. That being said, I chew gum almost nonstop, it is my new favorite vice, LOL!!!! Mimi
  13. Thanks, Rose, I am determined to remember that conversion. I wish you much success. Mimi
  14. How are you doing today, Whillow? Please post your status!!!! Mimi
  15. I am at goal but never found my sweet spot due to fills and unfills for one reason or another. I just may have found it this time, though. My goal is to be filled enough to maintain my wt without struggling and not be hungry. I still journal (on paper!) my food and drink and exercise so if the scales move more than 2 pounds either direction I can read my log and figure things out. Best wishes. Mimi
  16. I admire you, LaShonda, and wish you the very best. Mimi
  17. I agree with Rsilversea, Tricare only cares about your ht and wt. Mimi
  18. If you average 1200-1500 calories a day and exercise modestly you can expect to lose 3-6 pounds a week or even more. How many pounds in a stone? Good luck!! Mimi
  19. Doggone it, Sue, I am sorry this has happened. I am glad, though, that your question was answered and waiting won't lead to erosion. Mimi
  20. I am so happy for you....you should be on the mend now. Mimi
  21. I have found that once the swelling is so bad, little unfills don't do it....needed a big unfill and Nexium for 1-2 wks (me). I hate this happened to you and I wish you the best. The good news is that the swelling will go down and you will get your fills back. Mimi
  22. Good for you, let us know what up after your appt. Mimi
  23. Been there, done that, I agree it sounds like you need a little unfill. Good luck, Mimi
  24. I wish I knew what was wrong, but I am going through the same thing you are. It is making me crazy and I have to be a little too filled or underfilled and then I immediately gain wt. I am very frustrated and you are NOT alone!!!! Mimi
  25. Have you tried the Adkins Ready to Drink? Walmart sells them by the 4 pk and I LOVE their Mocha Latte and Dark Chocolate Royale. It is around $6.50 per 4 pk. I find them filling and yummy. Good luck. Mimi
